One of the elders, a huge Ibixan with curled horns glared down at Kay "They are not always rational creatures!" he said seriously "They may be intelligent, but they are ruled by emotion and that would be the end of it! It would only take one angry, of distressed human to stir up a mob of them!" he stamped his hoof to emphasize his point.

Kay calmly meet the Ibixan's gaze. "Is not the same true for your kind. Does not your blood boil at the prospect of a fight, since your blood courses with the lineage of the War God?" he questioned not only the one who had spoke up but those around him as well. "Do you think these humans so different then us?"

Gabriel growled and bared his teeth. "The runt is not controllable. She is wild and not controlled, she will cause the humans to fear us again. She is banned from this, should she continue to bring danger to her kind I will have to bring an end to this myself. Were's are till hunted though it is not widely known, she is a danger to her own kind."

Kay stared Gabriel down. "In my opinion Saiya is one of your more contorlled people." Kay stated calmly. "Was it not just 10 years ago that part of your formor pack went wild and attacked a village in Ireland?" Kay turned and looked each gathered in the eyes. "Is it right to hold a prejudice against an individual because of the unrational fear of one who's reasoning is as sound as the human's children?"

Another of the elders spoke this time, a wizened old bat of a man, literally half-bat, half-man, a Schree "You think so eh? What if the 'irrational fear' is well-founded? Hmmm? What of it then?" he stood and scuffled to stand before Kay, half his height "Speak vampire, I would know what you think of that...."
A few of the other elders said nothing, but nodded in agreement. They trusted the old bat's judgement, though they knew he was open-minded. His questioning was more fueled by curiosity than anger or fear, as were their's.

"How will we ever know if we don't try to establish a sound relationship?" he asked of the wizened Schree. "Dear brother did not our kind say the same thing about the werewolves and the Djinn?" he asked looking around at those gathered. "Was this not the same mentality of all of our different species, long ago when this cocil's establishment was uncertain?"

The little Schree smiled and nodded, it didn't look well for the elders' cause "You have a valid point Kay, so..." he turned back to the other elders "..what say you to letting the young ones have their fun? A little romp never hurt anyone!" he cackled and coughed, hobbling back to his seat.

Kay waited, gauging the Elder's responses. This could go either very well or very badly... I'm hoping for the first one he thought grimly.

I had to catch up on stuff after getting back from swimming... I'm really active in this other guild, and have like 11-12 RP's im in on there, so...))
Cloud appeared at the meeting, walking in from the side with no explanation as to why he was just now showing up.
His soft voice carried easily throughout the entire council for some reason as he spoke "Yes. We seem to have forgotten our past, have we not?" he began, starting right in. "We hide from the humans as we had previously hid from eachother, how is that so different? Because the humans are so many? Or because we are afraid? We should not let their kind remain so dominant, nor step in and take over, but find a way to coexist. Truly, not as we are now, hiding is nothing more than that. Hiding."
His sudden presence and soothing voice had momentarily silenced many of the hushed whispers passing between the council members, and they had all herd it, though there would no doubt be rising questions as a result of his words.

"Centuries ago our different people were at war. No one species tursted another. When the same sentiments of joing with the humans, were repeated through every species about this concil. But those semtiments were wrong, were they not? We have come together and not only survived but thrived because of that decision. So will it not stand to reason, that now is the time we made the same steps to join the humans." Kay asked of those gathered, looking each one in the eyes.
(( stare I seem to be really good at speechs... VOTE 4 ME 4 PRESIDENT! blaugh ))
