Khana finally spoke up now, "Bullets are easy to make if you have the material... but other than that, I don't know... but we would still have to send scouting parties out. Then, at least if a survivor comes into our territory, we could find them, as well as keep watch for mass zombies heading our way."
Even though she said this, she didn't like the idea for one main reason. The intelligent zombies. How hard would it be to lay siege to the base if directed by intelligent zombies and the puppet master? It's not like they would need to eat... if that happened, they could even figure out how to attack with explosives...
And there was still the Puppet Master himself. Khana still wanted to find him. She didn't think even Kay find and defeat him herself. Plus, who wanted to live in a closed in base for the rest of their lives and their children's lives? Again, if he wasn't stopped, none of it would stop. And that, was not a future Khana, or anyone in their right mind, would look forward to.

Fillup smiled knowingly "Why do you think we'd risk ourselves for just shelter?" he chuckled "I said it was a reserch facility, owned by the military, weapons won't be a problem" He stood and stretched, noticing the growing light to the east.

"Fine then, but what about the rest? Do we really want to spend the rest of our lives there?" Khana retorted. She looked around at everyone nearby, the faces half lit by the dancing flames. "Even if we take it in as a base, keep the elderly and children safe, as well those to guard them... This still needs to be settled. It's been more than enough years already that our lives have been haunted by the undead. And now we know why... sort of... at least, we know we have a chance, and a way to stop it. No matter how many zombies we re-kill, more dead start walking around and more living are contaminated. I think we should send a group of operatives to do it, with Kay at the lead, if she will. She seems our best chance at finding him in the first place." she finished, again looking around to see what reactions the others would have to her words. Then after her gaze settled again on Mr. Bubbles.

Fillup smiled brightly "Did you really think I was going to try and keep you couped up Khana? And for that matter, I couldn't stay there either" he waved his hand flipently, dismissing the thoughts of security "I highly doubt that Kay would stay, and some of the more restless newbies too" His eyes flashed to Satori for a moment. He returned his gaze to Khana "If, no, When we get there, we're leaving almost everyone behind and taking the best of the fire-power the military has there" he said casually, but with a fire in his eyes.

Kimmi frowned her gaze going to the children. "I'm going too." Her eyes cut back to them. "The children would be safer in one place. Traveling with them like this is dangerous. If we find survivors we send them back to base. Right?"

Fillup frowned "That all depends, whether they want to or not" he said cautiously. He agreed with sending them back, but some people could be exceptionally stuborn about fighting for what they want to live.

"I'll take you to the base." Kay spoke for the first time. "I'll make sure you all are set up there nicely..." She looked up from the fire with a burning hate in her eyes. "And then I will go after HIM... I will except no more than 3 people going with me. The rest need to stay behind and protect those that are still alive. When we succeed, we'll need as many hands as possible to rebuild our world..." Kay looked each person in the eyes to make sure that they knew that their would be no point in arguing with her.

Kimmi narrowed her eyes at Kay. "I'm going. You can't stop me." For the first time since coming to the group she sounded like the rebellious teen she really was. Her posture was hostile and her face serious, almost daring the woman to tell her she couldn't.

Fillup sighed "Three?" he questioned curiously "Maybe a few more Kay, four people, even including yourself, would be hard pressed to survive while hunting for a single being..." he said skeptically. I'll stay if she continues to be obstinate, it would be the best anyway he thought sourly.

Khana had picked up her desert eagle, and ran her finger along the barrel, "Well, we all know I'm going, not really any need for me to even say it is there?" she asked without looking up. Her face was completely serious, but calm and relaxed, yet with almost a concentrated expression.

"Only three." Kay reinterated firmly. "I don't care who..." she said looking at Pinky. "But three and three only." HE is mine... "I've never really needed any help wiping dead heads out, but I know you all want this over as much as I do." She paused her face losing all emotion. "Besides after we set you up nicely in the base and leave, the zombies will follow us." And hopefully give us a clue to where they are coming from...

"I'm coming," Satori said standing. "Unless if you or Fillup prefered that I stay behind." Satori looked at Fillup and back at Kay. "Either way I'm going to find a way to go with Kay." Satori sat back down feeling a little awkward because of what he had just done.

Khana glanced at Satori than back down at her guns, she then coughed very convincingly, with a concealed "didn't see that coming" though if it had been herd by anyone her sarcasm would have been clear.
