Up in the towers, Mae felt release from all the clastriphobia of the large school. She hopped nimbly onto the edge of the open window. Below her was a large courtyard with several shady oak trees, and a fountain bubbling busily. Cocking her head to one side, Mae crouched there thinking. No. This still wasn't enough. She wanted to get away even more than she already was. An idea sparked in her head. Without another thought, she jumped off of the tower, plummetting to the ground below. Right before she became a large splotch embeded in the grass, Mae used her vectors to push away from the courtyard floor, leaving large hand prints and hurdled upwards again. In this movement of rising and falling, Mae 'flew' to the lakeside near the school. She landed on her feet, again leaving hand prints where her vectors stopped her from falling over. The sun glinted off the lake, and Mae felt at peace with herself. Mae lay on her back and tried to remember her past. Some memories were still fuzy. As hard as she tried to focus on them, they still aluded her. The more she tried, the fuzzier they became. At long last, she opened her eyes and gave up. Mae had spent longer at the lake then she had expected. I should head back...She lept up and pushed off, soaring high above the school. Mae landed in another courtyard, and continued until she reached the towers. Flying in through an open window she landed in a low crouch. Standing up smoothly, Mae headed down the stairs to her room. Smiling slightly, that was just what I needed...

Lulu nodded, "Yeah mine is second nature too. My mother always wondered how I would wear clothes that weren't mine or have different color eyes at a whim. Thankfully she never asked cause I didn't know how to explain it."
She put her head straight, "Well my powers aren't that great to me either, but I like yours. You must like the dark with your shadow form... Well I should say, do you like the dark?"
She bit her lip and was trying to figure out why she was even talking. She hated talking to people but something about him... I guess it was the smell of his blood that caught her attention.

Cole smiled and nodded, a bit sheepishly. "Yeah. I do. I always try to get the thickest curtains I can find if I have to sleep with windows." He said as he leaned to one side in a more relaxed pose. "That sounds interesting. I sure as hell scared my parents when my abilities first started coming through. I'd be eating dinner when my hand would turn black. The fork would slip through my hand and fall. I'd be trying to get the food off my lap while my mum would be screaming bloody murder." He said with a slight laugh.

Lulu stopped biting her lips and laughed, "My mother, while she paid attention, obviously didn't cause if I got mad and my hair went to red and my eyes too, she didn't even notice. It was like they never changed. Sometimes I lose control when my emotions get up but... my mum never paid a lot of attention. Didn't help that I can't sleep anymore." Her eyes had changed to a soft pink, and her hair was platinum blond with black tips.

Cole thought for a moment, looking over at Lulu. He had noticed the change in her appearance. This explained why she had had different colored hair earlier. He wasn't loosing it. "My mom definitely noticed. She obsessed over it too. She tried to hide it as much as possible, making me wear long sleeved shirts in 90 degree weather. But she couldn't hide my face." He said with a shrug. "You can't sleep, eh? Do you get tired?" He asked, a bit curious. He usually liked going to bed really late, or really early, like at three or four in the morning. Then sleep in for about ten to twelve hours. He couldn't imagine not sleeping.

Lulu shrugged, "Ever since I was 6 I stopped sleeping. I lost the ability to feel tired, my mother took me to doctors but they said that it wasn't effecting me so she shouldn't worry cause they couldn't figure out how to get me to sleep during the night. I only sleep during the day. " She shrugged, "My mum blames it on my name Luna, my dad named me." Her eyes had turned a deep purple, her hair black, "It's sad how some parents act to their children being mutants."

Cole nodded as he glanced away. "Yeah. But.....I can kind of understand why they act that way. I mean....if your first and only child suddenly started....changing in ways that weren't normal, well, think of how that would feel for a new parent. I don't know about everyone else but...I was an only child. I can't help but feel bad about what I must have put my mum through. I fear that she never tried to have another child because she was afraid it would turn out like me." He said, all the while looking at the bottom of one of the walls to his left. He had never talked about this with anyone before, but it was something that would pop up in his mind every now and then. It didn't come up very much anymore since he hadn't spoken with either of his parents for around a year now.

Lulu listened carefully, "My parents had a second child, a boy. He is apparently normal but they named him.... something like Helios or something. I know it was to do with the sun." She shrugged, "Come on, lets get away from depressing topics and the pool. We seem to be having problems with it." She looked at her watch, it was about 3 PM now.

the wolf girl
Moon Child held onto the towel but didn't bother to cover herself up. She was wearing a bikini it shouldn't really surprise anyone. Nodding to him she started to walk looking over her shoulder as if to see if he was still there. Heading inside the place looked familiar though she was sure she hadn't really seen it before. Only in the form of a map. Impatience urged her on from walking until she was unconsciously running following the steps she had seen before in her dream. Going ever higher she didn't stop until she had reached the highest level she could and seeing no way onto the roof she opened the window climbing out and onto the roof until she came to the spot she had seen in her dream. Over looking the garden it looked just as she had imagined it. It was beautiful but the phantom pain came with an eerie feeling of certainty. As if propelled by her mind she stood on the edge over looking the place her bare feet hanging off slightly. ((*cough* Hellooo...Misfit...?))

Cole let out a small laugh at this as he glanced behind him. "Yeah, I should probably change back into some regular clothes." He said, glancing back over at her. "Ahh, anyway....where's your dorm at? Just for future reference. Mine is on the third floor." He turned and pulled his arms out behind him, stretching out his shoulder blades. He glanced around the room for a moment before heading towards the door, pausing to wait for Lulu.

Luna followed Cole to the door and walked in front of the door so Cole could close it behind him, "I'm up on the second floor room 6." She giggled out loud, "Why would you need to know my dorm for future reference?" She walked to the bottom of the stairs, her clothes were now a Chinese style, thigh-high, black dress with heels.

Cole smiled slightly at the question. "Why would anyone want to know where another lives?" He answered her question with one of his own. He walked through the door and shut it behind him. "That, and I wasn't sure if you'd want to go there now. I don't know if you're intent on following me back to my room or if you want to ditch me completely." He said, only partially joking. 'Room six......that should be easy enough to remember. It's half of my room number.' He thought to himself as he walked.

Luna smiled, "I don't plan on ditching you, I'm pretty content following you around." She started up the steps, "How long have you been at this school? You seem to know it well."

Cole shrugged as he stepped up the stairs. "This will be my fourth year now. As you'd imagine, when my parents heard that a place like this existed, they enrolled me right away. I don't really need to leave much either since there's pretty much anything you'd ever want in here. So I've pretty much become disconnected from the world around me." He said as he reached the third floor. He walked down the hall and stopped by his door, looking up at it. "Um....do you....want to come in?" He said, glancing back at her. "I don't usually bother unlocking the door because I usually just turn to a shadow and slip through it." A smirk appeared on his face at this. "I could get into anyone's room, actually, if I wanted to."

Lulu cocked her right eyebrow up when he spoke the last sentences, "Yeah, I'll come in. I didn't really see my room much because when I got here I threw my stuff on the bed and went to see what other people were doing. I saw you talking with a lady, then I went to lunch, then the pool, and now here with you." She shut her mouth, "Sorry I'm babbling." She scratched the back of her head, "I don't usually talk but... never mind." She entered the room, "So you can go into ANY room?"
