"That is most distressing," Kite says, "And Anyel is there." He points over Bel's shoulder to where Anyel stands, watching.

Bel looks to Anyel, then looks away again. He actually feels shy and self conscious for once around these two. He'd spoken to the wolf out of fear that it was going to attack. But now that crisis was averted, he had to face the fact that they'd actually seen what he'd done.
"Um...lead the way..."

Anyel, for one, is delighted. He smiles encouragingly at Bel as he walks back towards the path. Now it's his turn to be nosy. In a slightly lowered voice, he asks, "You can...talk to animals?"

Bel looks at Anyel in surprise. His strange traveling companion doesn't seem unnerved by his ability...more like he was...happy?
Bel is careful to also keep his voice down as he leans in towards Anyel, "...just dogs, really...and beasts that are like dogs..."

Anyel is still smiling. While he can communicate with animals in his own way, he can't exactly carry on a conversation for more than a minute. "Ah, still wonderful. What did the wolf have to say?"

Bel spoke loud enough so Kite could also hear, "He...said that it was dangerous around here. That beasts are succumbing to madness...they're answering some call that's driving them to aggression."
Bel sighed heavily.

Anyel frowns. "We'd best stay on the road, then." He is guiding them onto it even as he speaks. "Do you know what he meant?" Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good. "How is it that you can speak to them?"

In Anyel's brief conversations with animals, he has heard them to refer to the mother, but he has never gotten them to explain. He only knows that all animals seem to revere her.

Bel is a little surprised and a tiny bit confused at Kite's ready acceptance, then again all he knew was that he apparently could talk to wolves.
Still the healer seemed okay with whatever weirdness came along. And Anyel had his share of secrets...worst comes to worst, he could always just high tail it back to the caravan...
He tries a grin at Kite, "You've probably seen lots of weird stuff before..."
