Joel couldn't help but smile at his brother. He even reached out and tousled his hair a little. "Maybe I should, but girls are just people to me. Pretty people that smell nice, but people all the same. There's no rush you know; at your age I still couldn't figure out why girls couldn't eat dirt and have burping contests like everybody else." He nods at his exaggeration and slips his glasses back onto his face.

Wyle fixed his hair. He hated it when people tousled his hair. "What about Alice? Alice~!" he hopped over to the girl, "Tell me about girls and dating! And how are babies made?" he added, just to see how his brother would react.

Joel turns twice as red and says entirely too loudly "There will be none of that, Wyle! You know exactly as much as you are going to know about making babies for the indefinite future!" Babies; Wyle still was a baby! There would definitely be no making babies. "Just ... just... give her some flowers and tell her she's pretty. And chocolate. Flowers and chocolate. God, I could use some chocolate." The last bit he mutters and walks out to the dining room to check for customers.

"Oh Tarra, you scared me." Lila said. "I came out here.. for some quiet.." She replied softly. "It's too busy in there.. and plus i'm not needed am I?"

She shrugged. " its almost dinner so you will be soon...but..here " She looked through the envelopes and handed her the paycheck. " theres your paycheck, and if you ever get bored and unsure if your needed around here...come up and see me ok ? " She asked smiling.

Wyle grinned at Joel as he left, giggling like a little kid. He skipped out of the kitchen, but not before grabbing a piece of cake to eat.

Lily grabbed all of the dirty rags and towels and went downstairs to throw them away. There was almost no work for her and that made her mad. Everyone was busily taking care of customers and she had nothing to do unless there was a mess made or something of that sort. Lily decided to head to the kitchen and see if anyone in there needed help, that was when she ran into Wyle.
"Oh, hello Wyle. I haven't seen you around lately. How have you been?" Lily smiled warmly at him. She always liked him, he was cute, in a small child sort of way.

"Lilly!" Wyle exclaimed, throwing his arms around her waist and hugging her. "I've been great!"

Lily laughed and and wrapped her arms around Wyle. She bent down, though she hardly did and kissed him lightly on the top of his head.
"You know Wyle, you're getting tall...soon you'll be taller than me." Lily smiled, ruffling his hair.

Lily's eyes widened in shock and she blushed lightly. Wyle was such a sweet boy...sweet, kind and caring but he was much too young for her. She felt bad...and instantly wished that he was either older or she was....well, nevermind that.
"Oh, Wyle.....if only you were older...I would not hesitate like this...but you are so young..." Lily hugged him tightly, hoping that he wouldn't be angry with her or sad that she had basicallys said no.

Lily sighed and took him by the hand. She led him over to a small couch and sat him down, she took a seat next to him.
"Wyle...I wish that I could. You are a sweet boy and....well....I'm older than you...trust me, I'd wait for you if I could but..." Lily stopped and looked away. If he were older....if he were older then everything would be fine.

Wyle paused, looking down. He was heart- oh! Oh! He stood up. "JOEL!" he exclaimed. "Oh Lilly! I know what you can do!" he grinned at her. "'If I were only older'... you can date Joel! He'll be happy, you'll be happy... I'll go for someone my age!"

Lily jumped up a little at his exclamation. Joel? Sure she had a crush on him but it was nothing like that for him.....or was it? No, that wasn't possible.
"Look, Wyle that's really sweet of you but....I don't think Joel is...well, I don't think...look, Joel doesn't like me that way." Lily blushed scarlet again.
