he didnt look away from Emily, just said in a darker tone. " she has been around me." standing he carfuly picked her up and looked around., trying to see some sort of edible plant in the forest around them. " she needs to eat, preferably something rich to help her."

Nightshade looked in his bag. "All i have is some nightshade and some deer meet. does she eat any of those?"

Emily wrinkled her nose at the sound of deer meat. "Thats gross." She barked loudly. The voice suddenly escaping her lips was odd. Pointing her finger at the man named Night..night something, and shaking it at him. "Deer killer." Lifting her chin, then turning away from him. As she looked up at Arian, she smiled, then she let it fade. Leaning on her tippy toes, "I cant eat. Its fine." Then returning on her feet. Looking around the garden, wishing it was still only them. Or her plants at least. A funny thought came to find on making the ivy attack the new comer. She was tempted to tell Arian, but she thought it could wait.

Emily make a gaging sound from thoart as she thought of it. "Meat makes me sick." She whimpered. Placing her hands on her stomach. Tapping her fingers on it before she let them fall back down on her side's. Shifting her weight from foot to foot, having the urgency to move about.

Arian stood and placed himself firmly next to Emily, feeling her distress. he had never eaten either meat nor plant, and both sounded odd to him.
the idea of eating flesh repulsed him more than eating a leaf, though it wasnt his place to speak so he stayed silent. putting a hand on Emily's shoulder he did a small, reasureing smile to help her relax. then he looked back at Nightshade, his face changeing back to the cold distant mask he wore around others. " that is not true of all Dragons. Terra eats nothing but energy or Fruit.. to kill anything would go against what she is." which was a dragon.. the beasts were gardian of spirits, and to eat something she could listen to afterwards was a cruel torcher. " but" he added to be fair. " a dragon named Levac will eat both, so its to-each-his-own."

Emily blushed and smiled up at Arian when his hand went on her shoulder. Then she smiled faded as they started to talk about dragons. How many things lived that she unaware of? Knitting her brow together as she looked back and forth between them. "Wait a second..." Emily said, raising her hand like she was in school. "How many of..I mean.." Looking down, trying to think. "You..." Pointing to Arian, and poking him in the chest playfully, "Are..like...not sure what you are. Dont have a word..And I am a...planter..And you.." Looking up at the other man. "Are a drangon that eats poor deer, which is evil by the way, what else is there?" For the moment, her head was clear as blue still water. Which was the reason she was talking and standing on her own will without help. Or, she would like to believe it was without help. Darn her and her false pride.

Emily's green eyes narrowed on the words demon. She had heard the word before, of course. She remembered that as a child, when she was really young and still healthy, the others would call her demon child: for her red hair and green eyes. Night...spike..shade..whatever the 'man' called himself, made her laugh. The sound escpaed into a musical tone and echoed before it died. "Drangons and demons? Oh dear.." Giggling again as she cradled her cheeks in her cold palms. Turning into Arian's chest to hide her laughter, the actions seemed natural, despite the fact that she had never done so before. Looking up at him from under her lahes, Emily asked, "So, you never did tell me what you are..."

smileing slightly he brushed a hand over her shoulder. " Emily, i have no wish to distress you. im Arian.." he seemed to hesitate for a moment, but covered it easily. " what ever else i am, ill still be Arian." he almost smiled.. almost. then he caught the tone of Nightshade's voice and his posture went rigid, shifting protectively infront of Emily's.
Arian's arms snaped up around Emily when he caught the mans temper, his eyes shifting black as he growled lowly. " do not, in any way, insult or threaten Emily." he behaved civilized for her, but if she was hurt... just the thought had him close to bareing his teeth. the man people saw, the the creature he actualy was were two different things.. the manners and politeness was an easily shed mask, and for Emily's sake he would toss it aside readily.

Emily could not help but peek over her shoulder to look at Nightshade, the demon and...other thing that he was. She could feel Arian grow tense, with made her angry. Why was this half of person, or demon, whatever, she was getting sick of them, make her...friend.. angry. "Yeah, scary. You should try to go out on Halloween with that voice. Ekk, boo." Her tone dry to match her sarcastic tone. Narrowing her green eyes on him, "Save it someone else." Turning her head back into his chest and laying it there. She was not sure why she was, or why she did it. Habit she wanted to say, but how was it habit when she had never done so? Rolling her eyes at herself, she must be over thinking things...
