(I'm not surprised that you've seen me before Kitty, I'm in a few rps. ^^)

Felicia blinked when the boy reached for his clothes and automatically looked up at the ceiling akwardly, shoving her hands in her pockets. Even though he was changing under the blanket it still didn't feel right to look. When he mentioned her name Felicia blinked and looked at him; oh, she hadn't told him. Usually she didn't talk to people long enough for a name exchange. "Oh.." One of Felicia's hands reached up to rub at an old scar under her left eye, which she could barely see out of nowadays because of a fight she had been in a few years ago. "It's Felicia.." She hesitated for a moment before turning her gaze to the young man huddled under the blanket; he was smirking a bit and running a hand through his long hair. "May I ask yours..?" Felicia wasn't used to being polite to people so the question was a bit akward and kind of quiet too.

Brynn Syvra frowned slightly when Thorn failed to mention the last half of her name, but inwardly she shrugged and watched Thorn's reaction to Brynn Syvra's statement about her name. Brynn Syvra was once a drug lord, so she could gauge people's reactions very well. You had to in that kind of business. If you didn't, you either ended up dead or arrested. Thorn laughed and looked relieved. Aw, so Thorn might not be her real name, she thought, filing away that little tidbit of information for later.
When Thorn talked about what happened to her when her powers were activated, Brynn Syvra's mouth formed a straight line. "I suppose I'm the only one who is experiencing anything significant then," she said, gazing at her dark purple hair. "I assume I'm correct when I say that I'm the only who has mysterious scarring on the outside of my right leg? Like 4 or 5 huge pins (huge pins in my head equal 3 or 4 inches) were inserted into my leg at intervals from my ankle to my thigh?" Brynn Syvra turned to look at the rest of them to see their reactions.

Thorn kept a straight face as she heard this information, but mentally she couldn't help but wince. "Well, not to that extreme, but there's little operation scars on the back of my neck, and on my head a bit. You can really only feel the stitches if you dig to my hair or something, though." she shrugged. "Either way, it doesn't look good for any of us; who knows what else is going on in our systems that got some recent changes by the Doc." she said, her voice a bit bitter as she mentioned his name, and she began to twirl her fork in her hand, wanting to stab the man with it.

Jack practically threw himself at the line of powdered pain killers. The desk rattled as his knees hit it and the powder separated.
Why was he so weak? Why was he trading the only friend he had for a little alone time with a bottle of pills that could have gotten either of them killed?
He wouldn’t face the truth. He wouldn’t think of that. There had to be other answers other than that he was still addicted.
Jack pounded his fists on the table. His shoulders dropped in defeat. It didn’t matter why, just that he needed this. Life could not be lived without it. Things had been hard before at home, but here it could only get worse. Even now there was a flow of emotions not his own swirling around in his head driving him madder, more desperate.
If Alice knew- maybe if she knew how he felt she could forgive him. But no, he couldn’t tell her. It was too late. He had lied, betrayed the one person who was there for him.
Jack stared down at the shuffled layer of powdered meds that coated the desk. It didn’t matter how much he hated it or how much it would destroy him. It didn’t matter that he knew what was wrong.
He had no control anymore. This wasn’t really his fault. Someone, somewhere: this was their fault. He couldn’t think of them right now, but they did this too him. With a clearer head he could find who to blame. With a clearer head he might not be subjected to the emotions that didn’t belong to him.
He gave in.
And it felt good. He felt good. Those other people, they didn’t matter anymore. He couldn’t even feel their emotions. This was bliss.
Jack fell onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn’t concentrate, but that was best. It was best not to think about how powerless he was, or how much Alice would inevitably grow to hate him in the end.
Promises were made to be broken anyway.

Dawn had been quiet for a long time. There was so much on her mind suddenly, so much she did not understand. She finally collected herself enough to answer Brynn Syvra.
“That is all, dear. You are pain,” she whispered matter-of-factly. “You inflict it upon others. It is a great gift indeed.”
Other people were discussing powers and names, but Dawn thought it was all a little silly. Deep in her mind, however, she could not help but suppress the urge to get her own nickname. Children played like this in the books she read. That would make her like them, maybe even a friend of theirs.
But then again, no one seemed to like her father. Just a moment ago the girl called Thorn spoke very lowly of him.
“Not much will be changed within you,” Dawn spoke up. “It is mostly in the brain, spine, and nerves that these changes take place. That’s what I have learned so far.”
She got a defiant look in her eyes. “And they are good changes. We are all better people because of them.”

Arashi rubbed the back of her neck as she sat up. Her eyes were numb, but not the sat-on-your-hand kind of numb, the in-so-much-pain-it's-hard-to-accept kind of numb. Her head pounded slightly, and her entire right side ached. She took her left arm, feeling the back of her neck. There was a scar there, from stitches; obviously she had gotten hurt enough to be heavily sedated, since she didn't remember how she had hurt herself, and she seemed to have a migraine.

Probably just a hunger or pain headache... I don't get eye strain headaches... do I? I don't remember having glasses... but I don't remember not having them, either...

She tried to sit up, and did so, with a surprisingly little amount of difficulty. The scar on her neck had led her to believe that she had at least had deep tissue damage; if not severe spinal cord displacements. She slipped a hand up the grey nightshirt she wore, feeling her way up the spine, for any bad bruising or displacements.

"Well, ********." she said awkwardly, probably from the sedatives? she'd been given, but then again, she felt strangely clearheaded. If not for the apparent nagging feeling that something... no, alot was missing, she felt great.

Considering she'd been in an accident.

If she'd even been in an accident.

She stood up, and a slip of paper fell from the back of her nightgown. It was saturated with sweat and imprined with some of the deeper scars on her back, but when she looked at it, she could discern bits of the awkwardly unfamiliar spidery scrawl.

"Arashi... Alisen ...Memory... affected... experimentation, Dr. Gerard, special powers, guards, solitary confinement, temporary, speech issues, White ridge academy," That send a cascade of memories back to her; ones about her confinement. She'd been having trouble with movement and speech, and kept here. Why, she had no idea.

She stood, feeling stiff and miserable. "That's...right." she said. "The doctor- he was... ********." she collapsed back onto the stiff, small-mattressed bed. "Wonder what my... ability... is." she went to the door of the room, opened it, and looked, surprised, at the doorknob, her hand still clenched around it. huh. would've thought my door would have been locked. but... the movement problems, would have impeded me until now. So it would have been moot. She looked blearily around the boring hallway.

"Darkness..."
Hadran muttered the word, with great difficulty, as he lay in his bed. His eyes were closed, but he faced the ceiling. "The doctor has given me darkness... again." He whispered, small bits of pain shot through his face as he did so. "I will give the doctor darkness someday..." he said, more pain.
He slowly opened his eyes, to see the dank room that he had been living in for almost a year. Slowly turning his head to the side, he saw the small accommodations in his room. A pen, a notebook, toiletries and some pairs of clothes. He gave a slow, shuddering sigh as he attempted to get up from his bed. Pain thundered through his body, and he was forced to lay down again.
"Heh, they did a good job." He said. "Another try...yes." He attempted to get up, for the most part ignoring the pain. He did as best he could, and fell to the floor, on his hands and knees.
He could feel his pain, his anger, his sorrow, all in his body. He imagined moving it all very slowly to his right arm, up into the wrist, then the hands. He began to breath harder, into the fingers now. He could feel each individual fingertip pulsing with energy. He focused intensely on his hand as small sparks jumped from each fingertip. Small, black sparks, beads of sweat down his face. He tried to imagine forming them into a ball, back into his palm...

"Agghh!" He gave a shout of pain, the energy disappeared. He slowly rose to his feet, and gave a look of fierce determination at the heavy steel door in front of him. "I will give you darkness, doctor. Yes, darkness like you have never experienced before..."

Hearing a shout from a room none too far away, Arashi walked to the source of the noise. "...Hello?" she asked the reinforced door, and knocked. She felt a bit fuzzy still, but the pain was easy to handle; she had obviously been in some form of accident(s), though she couldn't remember having any. "Hello? Are... you alright?" the words felt thick and ungainly as they rolled off of her tongue; showing the blend accent she had gained by visiting her homes in egypt and japan. Usually I can hide it... but... ********>

"Huh...?" Hadran said, hearing a voice on the other side of his door. "Another person..." He muttered, almost cooing. He walked up to the door, and landed a punch on it. "Open..." He said. "Please. Open!"
He gripped his hand in pain, staring angrily at the door. All of a sudden, his face adopted a lighter expression. "Are...are you another inhabitant? Were you brought here?" He questioned, almost excited. "I've never met anyone else here...in all my time. No one." He said whispered. "Please...open the door if you can."

(((Sorry about the shortness.)))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:34 pm

((It's not that short.))

She looked at the door, wiggling the handle for a second, and then went for another direction. She scanned the hallway for people, then took a pen out of the front pocket in her grey nightgown, and shoved it into one of the hinges. The thing slid almost all the way out, and she grabbed it, pulling it the rest of the way out by hand so it wouldn't make any noise. "I'm... working on getting... you out." She got the second hinge out, and said, "I can't open the door, but I'll have you kick the door where the hinges should be. That'll open it." She stepped, out of the radius of the door, but was ready to stop it if he kicked it too hard. "Don't... kick it too hard." she warned.

She made a quick scan of the hallway, to make sure the place was clear. "C'mon, hurry.I'll tell you once you're out."

Hadran's eyes brightened and a smile spread across his face. He nodded and kicked at the door hinges. The door shook, but didn't fall over. He pushed slowly, opening the door just barely enough for him to slip out. He stood as straight as he could, and slipped through without touching the door. He turned around with a smile, looking at the girl that just let him out. "Thank you."
PostPosted: Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:53 pm

"You're... welcome." She put the door back, and then slipped the hinges back into place, then put the pins in. She made sure they were firmly set before she continued. "I've been... here for I don't know... how long. Maybe two years. Maybe two weeks. I think it's been.. a long time, since I remember about as much about here as I do about my life before. I know I was a special circumstance, the doctor kept on saying that, i don't know how many times he said it but" she stopped, and then took a breath. "I wrote down that I was having memory and movement problems. Maybe that's why... they didn't lock my door. We can go back there, I don't want to be caught here." She gestured at a door across the hall and a couple doors down. "I don't know why I'm here..." she looked down at the back of her hand, and caught a faint white scar. "Can you tell... me... the date?" she asked.

A look of disappointed sadness splattered itself across his face. "No...I've been locked away in that room for so long, I don't even have a sense of time anymore." He said. "I've never seen anyone other than the doctor or the guards either, I was told that I'm a 'high security subject' or something." He rambled on. Another smile spread across his face, "And I would love to go to your room." he said, looking up and down the hall.

Kiri could barely see straight as two Dr. Gerards walked in.

'What did this guy clone himself or something.'

"Hey Doc you here to tell me that you made a horrible mistake and your going to let me go use your little present to attack a few of my old problems?"

Kiri didn't sound hopeful, she just sounded like she was playing around.

Tilting her head back as much as she can Kiri continues.

"You know Doc I really don't know why your here but you should send back int he other guy...I believe called him James. I liket he name but I like the face more."

Giving a forced chuckle Kiri spits blood at Gerard's feet.

"En dearou esa temae tame mai kage." (I will feed you to my shadow) (Japanese)

Caughing a tiny bit some blood hits her legs. Looking at it Kiri lets her eye slip to the wall across from her where the bad lighting is casting many shadows. Smirking in her mind Kiri stares at the shadow with her half lidded eyes.

'He's probably going to kill me after this but noone gets to say that I didn't take the first shot.'

Behind Gerard the shadow begins to move slowly towards the open cabinent that is nearby. Kiri dosen't let up even though she feels as if she's about to die from the headache that has just come back and the draining feeling she has. The shadow picks up a hydermic needle (one of those needles that you don't have to push down on, just stab them with it)with some strange florecent green liguid in it and has her shadow head toward Gerard to stab him in the back of his right shoulder with it.

Feeling herself lossing it Kiri hast he shadow wip the needle at Gerard before she collapses against the seat she's in and hopes the needle got him atleast as she starts to fell like she's floating from the blood loss.

'I wonder if I'll be able to meet my parents if there dead.....I'll get to spit in there faces.'

Kiri felt her body start tog o numb. If Gerard had gotten hit by the needle or dogged it she wasn't sure. It felt like something was pushing in on her ears and trying to squish her head.

'I hate this.'

((really soory, I have to go for tonight. It's 10:00pm for me, I'll be back hopefully around 1:00pm, guaranteed by around 8:00pm.))

She walked to it, and sat down, crosslegged, next to the stacked boxes that belonged to her. She opened one up, curious.

"It's too bad that you don't know the date. I'm..." she stopped, grabbing a poster from one of the boxes. "...Arashi?" she phrased it as a question. "Arashi. That's it." She looked further into the box, finding a framed poster that seemed too heavy. she opened the back, and out came a grey, inside-out trenchcoat, and a black, chest-flattening corset. She put them to the side, and replaced the back of the frame on the poster. She put the corset on over the nightgown, and then put on her trenchcoat. She looked rather like a boy; the girly-kind you saw in Japanese pop bands.

"What about you? Why are you here? What's your name?"
