"You may have known her longer...But...I've hung around her alot more...The only person she truly hates would be Lynn...Out of the immortals I mean...And she dislikes humans..Because the humans are who created the population in the first place...SHe doesn't hate Sally, i knwo that for a fact...She doesn't hate me for the most part. Just because your old and have experienced means nothing...I do understand what your saying...But things have changed...She actully finds some of us somewhat loyal..." He inhaled deeply then looked at Yata.. "Who cares honestly...This is a pointless subject to argue over considering where both right in one way or another.." Matt sat down on the couch and looked at the celieing. "Where lucky I don't have a mother anymore...Or she'd probably come down here and kick your a** out of the house.." Matt laughed at the thought. "Just because your the immortal of war doesn't mean an old women would let you in..." Matt sat bolt up and looked at Yata. "It must be boring...To know when the next wars going to be...Even if it helps you train for it... But really, don't you find it better to not know...It's more exciting...Your not as perpared and death get's to show just how intoxicating it is.."

((Really? this is probably the third longest post I've ever made..))

((Oooh, I feel special- someone's foretold I'll be powerful! XD Lucky me!))
The room around them was amazing- pure beauty encased in every living form that dwelled about them or on the walls. Looking around him, Kyfen could see all manner of fantastical beasts- from flaming salamanders that burnt the ground they touched to miniscule birds that fluttered through the air, with their rainbow tails leaving thin trails of colour behind them.
A dainty sprite landed on Kyfen's nose, regarding him with curiousity. He stiffened, a thrill running up his spine, and the tiny human flitted away gracefully, floating without wings through the air.
Kyfen turned to face Cyrea, then blushed furiously- she was completely stark naked, and trying to listen to a tree.
After all that's happened today, I guess this wouldn't be the weirdest happening. He thought, walking through the tall grass towards her. Though the grass was waist high on Cyrea, it was up to Kyfen's twelve-year-old shoulders, and he found it much more difficult to reach where Cyrea's pale delicate legs had taken her.
Upon reaching the trees, Kyfen decided not to speak- a tact taught from the events of the day. And, he was still a little scared of what might happened if he irritated someone. Was it possible to take immortality away?

((Wee! XD I plan on having Cyrea give him some power to start him off.))

Cyrea could tell Kyfen was shocked at her bare skin. "Look at yourself. Your mortal clothes haven't come here with you, you know." It was true. To go to the other world, or here, mortal clothing would be removed.

But it was OK. In the other world, there was no need for reproduction, and so immortals didn't have certain body parts when they were there. Kyfen had only seen Cyrea's back, so obviously he didn't know.

Touching boulders and listening to the trees let Cyrea remember where the great doors were. These doors led to Granny Gaia. The room that Cyrea and Kyfen were in currently was sort of like a waiting room to test your skill. See if you were worthy to gaze upon the creator of the earth, the immortals, and life itself.

with a light chuckle he said, "Ahh now that'd be something. Whatching an old woman kick my a**. Theres art when one fights, wether we notice it or not thats what attracts us to war and well for the mortals death. the it's not the death it's the blood, the lust to do more damage. i have a name for those who do it. there berzerkers. one's who lose themselfs in a frenzy of art. it's purley buitfull sight." bowing to matt he says, "Why thanks for the complement but i think some one already beat me to that title. you might now him you might not. But i say we both share it. and knowing when the battle happens is just half the fun. really it is, when it happens unexpected more chaos happens then any thing else. You just be prepared this battle might be just as big as the tribe wars. You know what those are don't you?"

Kyfen looked down at himself. In all the excitement, he simply hadn't noticed.
Is this a side effect of being immortal? 'Cos if it is, I'm suddenly seeing a downside. He thought, suprisingly dryly for a twelve year old.
Kyfen sat down on the ground, allowing the swishing blades of grass to envelope him. Cyrea could be a long time, and he knew if he stood up, he'd just get more and more anxious. Part of him wouldn't have minded going to play around with all the wierd and fanstastical creatures, but he resisted, determined to act as adult as possible. He closed his eyes in a meditive pose, attempting to reflect on the events of the day, but only succeeding in getting lost in an elaborate daydream in which he saved a village from a molten volcano with his super-powers.
After a period of time passed, Kyfen's mind relaxed, and he fell into a slightly less-concious state. Around him, he could feel the same aura he'd felt around the immortals before, immersing him in all that etheral goodness.
Small, niggling voices began to irritate him at the edge of his hearing. Kyfen strained, but he couldn't quite dechiper any of the words, or sounds, they were making well enough for the voices to make coherant sense. It was strange... the noise washed back and forth like leaves on trees, gently bubbling into him as an incoherant babble.

Cyrea realized that the boy had fallen asleep, or so it appeared. Really, you couldn't fall asleep, but you could drop most consciousness and regenerate strength. That was another downside of immortals; you couldn't sleep, meaning you couldn't dream. Day dreaming was another thing altogether, but real, honest-to-goodness dreaming was hard or impossible for most immortals.

Then, as Cyrea listened to one of the trees, she heard it. A faint beat, like a pulsing heart. All the others had water and animals, but this tree marked the spot. Pushing away a boulder, Cyrea revealed a door.

Then, remembering that her young comrade was half-asleep, she walked over to him and crouched down. Cyrea touched his shoulder and spoke almost gently. "Hey, you. Time to wake up, you know."

Kyfen opened his eyes. "Huh?"
Had he fallen asleep? It hadn't felt like it, and he hadn't dreamt.
Regardless, he smiled widely at Cyrea and got up, noticing the door behind the boulder. He blinked. That hadn't been there before.
"How did you find that? Where does it go? Wh-"
Catching himself, Kyfen blushed again. He had so many questions, but he should be waiting till he met granny gaia. Sadly, they seemed to be overflowing out of his head already.

"They lead to Gaia." Cyrea would have taken his hand, but that always made her feel like a little kid. Then again, she just didn't like touching the hands of other people. Y'know. Whatever.

Cyrea pulled open the doors. Then she turned back to Kyfen. "When you meet Gaia, don't scream. It'll hurt her dignity. You can stand there and twitch or something, but don't scream." Then Cyrea entered the room.

The room, to most eyes, seemed mostly bare. It was made of dirt, compacted neatly to make a ceiling, floor and walls. Then, a voice spoke out softly.

Bringing in the new one? The voice was very quiet, sounding like nothing more than the whispering of the wind.

"Yes, Gaia." Cyrea lowered her head in a sign of respect. She did not bow.

Then... A figure pressed out of the wall in front of Cyrea. It looked like a tree, with strings of ivy for hair. A delicate woman made of sheer nature stood before them. Leave it to me.

"Yes, Gaia." Cyrea turned back to leave. When she walked by Kyfen, she stopped. "You can ask Gaia any question you wish to be answered. She'll explain everything." Then she turned and left Kyfen alone with Gaia.

"Yeah, the site of blood..It's odd though, us immortals can bleed all we want..You'd think we didn't have a heart or blood.." Matt bit his finger and watched the blood slowly ooze out. He whiped it on his jeanes then looked back up at Yata. "Area the god of war beat you to it..If I'm not mistake..but if I'm wrong, who really did?"

Kyfen blinked. After what he'd been through today, what with the glass through his abdomen and his nightmare, this didn't seem scary in the slightest. Or maybe there was more to come.
Unsure of himself, Kyfen lowered his head. Cyrea had not bowed, so he guessed his should follow her lead. Lifting his head back up, he met he in the eyes, which were glowing a slight blue-green. In fact, to Kyfen her entire body was glowing, shimmering patterns forming intricate dances about her wooden figure, as if she were followed by the northen lights.
"U-Uh..." He said, previous well of questions drying up in her intense strare. He did have a lot to ask, of course... But where to start?
"My name is Kyfen." He said, "And, I guess I have a lot to ask you. I've had lots of things happen to me today, and I wanted to know... Why is all this happening? Why me? Why all of us lot? I mean, I've never really done, or been anything special. But for some reason, I can fall into a glass shard, almsot cutting me in half, and I don't die. Is there... Any reason? Anything that I'm supposed to do?"
He felt suddenly hopeless, and useless. He was just a twelve-year-old kid, or at least... He had been yesterday. What he was now was different, and Kyfen wasn't sure if he liked it yet.

"I think I will explain. I am Gaia, otherwise known as mother nature, or the Earth.

"Recently, more immortals have been born. There were only supposed to be 20, but now immortals are appearing, birthed from mortals. No one is completely sure why this is happening. I'm sorry if you feel troubled by it. You've always been this way, but today, you've finally learned of it.

"There's plenty you can do. You could become an apprentice under one of the original 20, to take their place when the souls of them become too old to do it themselves. Yes, an immortal can age. They simply take much longer then mortals do. Look at me. I'm 6.4 billion years old and I'm not exhausted with my job at all yet.

"Other than what I've suggested, you can live as a mortal, learn all trades, do anything you want. At a certain age you will be granted a wish from me. You may take it or leave it.

"Or, you may simply go on with your life as it is for now. I know everything about you. You live in an orphanage that you do not wish to be in. But, another immortal told you he would adopt you. If that is what you wish, to live normally for a while, then that is what you can do." Gaia certainly did know everything about all the immortals. In fact, she knew everything about everyone.

((I'm just gonna play as Gaia for a while, alright? Heh heh.))

Gaia... Is an immortal? Kyfen was pretty shocked. It was pretty obvious she wan't mortal, what with the body made of trees and the etheral aura. But still... They had always been taught at school that the greeks had worshipped Gaia, the mother of all that existed. She was the same person?
She didn't look like someone to worship- though her powers were great, and her wisdom evident, she had a bittersweet sadness about her that betrayed her apparent power, something that made you almost want to pity her. She was beautiful, yet it was a porcelin beauty- something you feared to touch, as it could easily break. Her eyes were tired, as if she had seen too much in too long a time. After 6.4 billion years, Kyfen doubted whether there was anything she hadn't seen before. He was just another immortal to her, and the thought made him feel smaller.
If she was immortal, did that mean he had such powers within him? And the other's he'd met? If it did, then some of them evidently hadn't shown it, or kept it secret.
"Gaia..." He said, trailing off. A choice had been put in front of him, and though she had implied nothing, with an intellect most twelve year olds didn't posses he knew she wanted him to decide.
But he wasn't going to; not yet. He had one more thing to ask.
"Gaia..." He looked up, and a slight sadness was in his eyes, a sadness that had never been there before, nor should be. It made the boy look almost a decade older. "...Is it lonely? Living for so long? Is it worth it?"
Kyfen knew it wasn't his place to ask. He feared Gaia's retribution, and yet... He felt it was a question he had to ask.

"he's one of the orignal twenty, his name i already forgott. all i can say though is im glad cyrea is the godess of death for if he got his hands on that power we'd cease to exist. i personally think he should be the god of chaos. but like i said, we both own the god of war for now. i cuase war, and he joins in it creating a sluaghter fest."

"What you just said there...Makes me glad i'm useless and probably powerless." He said with a smierk. "So far, being useless hasn't gotten a billon people killed. Although blood really is true beauty..Hency the reason why my mom would sit here with me and tell me that I shouldn't like a girl because she's hot.." He said in a slight joking manner.
