((Sand n' Stuff))

Two people approached Jupiter and he felt a glimmer of hope. The two girls approached him and one offered him back the beach ball, and help!

"Errr, ehh, well I reallyreally need helpbecauseI'mtangledupandmysistersovertalkingtotwoghostsandthey'rgoingtopossessherandstealhersoulandthenshe'sgoingtoDIEandIcan'tdoanything
beacuseofthesestupidbags!!"
said Jupiter in an almost incomprehensible jumble of panicked words. He took a shaky breath in a poor attempt to calm himself. He felt his cheeks flush a little, feeling stupid for saying all that to complete strangers. Still, Lauma needed his help.

"Eh, uh please just help me get these bags off!" he said quickly and more under control. His eyes kept flicking nervously from his would-be saviors and his sister, who now had the green ghost floating eye to eye with her. Jupiter made a small squeak at the sight.

Lucia giggled like switching drinks was a secret between them both as she handed hers to Aki. Taking a quick sip she noted the lack of bitter flavor that she liked and she looked down to examine her drink. "This one isn't as good."

As Aki spoke to her again, her head snapped up. It sounded like Aki was scolding her and she didn't like it. "I didn't mean stupid as in not smart. I mean stupid as in mean. I didn't do anything to him and he ignored me the whole time I lived with him!" She whined slightly, upset that Aki misunderstood her. "I didn't do anything to him at all!" she repeated. She ran her fingers through her hair, realizing her hair may be a bit messed up, as happened when she was agitated. She sighed. "And I guess I'll start by signing up for the paintball. That seems like it could be fun . . . I guess." Aki not understanding her really confused her and made her apathetic.

((sand and stuff))

Chris and Cierra went to work right away on the tangled mess of bags. When she was working Chris attempted to puzzle out what had been said in the incomprehensible jumble. "Your sister's talking to....ghosts?" she asked, a bit confused. Then she noticed the young girl talking to two Raevans. "Oh! Those aren't ghosts! They're Raevans! I can't remember exactly how they were created, but the party here right now is a fund raiser to rebuild the lab where they were born." Chris herself was a bit surprised at the lack of freaking out she and Cierra had had with the Raevans. Was that a sign of something?

While showing a face still showing concern, it became an expression of confusion as he cocked one eyebrow up. That definitely did not look like she was okay. Aden knew something was wrong either way, but it seemed like the girl was capable enough to get herself up.

As soon as the girl made her way over, Aden stood up scratching his head and returned to where Ebony had been along the bar.

"Wasn't that kinda... weird?" he asked Ebony feeling rather puzzled about the commotion.

Pushing that thought aside, he decided to focus on the lighter side of things. After all the goal is to have a good time while helping raise money.

"Oh yea! I heard they're having events. Have you signed up for any yet?"

Glad for the assistance Jupiter set to getting free. One of the girls said something but it didn't quite register what she said until the last bag was free and he was about to go heroicly run down his sister and save her from the ghost, if he could touch it.

"Wait.... whut? They're ravens? They have wings but.......not ghosts and floating and...." he paused a second, " What lab?" he asked in a very confused and partially desperate tone. It was true that he shouldn't be able to see ghosts, but they were floating torsos what else would ghosts look like? He would've imagined them more... see-through... but they could become solid...ish right?

"They're not going to posses my sister then? And they're birds from a lab?" Jupiter felt very embarrassed and blushed, looking down at the sand instead of at his 'rescuers.'

"I've been very rude, uh, my name is Jupiter and that's," he started to point out his sister but at the sight of her with the floating things he trailed off into silence. "Not ghosts?"

Chris scratched her head. "Well.... I don't know that much about the Raevans or the lab, and I would probably botch any explanation, but I think one of the bartenders could give you an explanation. That's where I heard what I know."

"There's also sign ups at the bar for a pie eating contest, paintball, limbo, and story telling if you're interested," Cierra added.

Chris looked up in surprise. The only times she had ever really seen Cierra talk to some one in public was when she majorly pissed--not this relaxed and friendly advice. Chris smiled. She was starting to like this party a lot.

In the time the boy had gone over to try and help out some poor girl whom had not only managed to hurt herself, but had also let out a slur of profanity, Ebony had ordered a frosty white drink and was sipping it contently. One would have thought by now she’d be long gone from the bar scene as she wasn’t much for large crowds. Yet apparently when it was a bar on the beach, her mood and prerogative changed greatly. In fact, she didn’t even mind making small talk with this youth.

“Not really. There are too many people here, so it was only a matter of time before someone got knocked over or something. Though she looks to be fine. But I’m thinking the valiant knight here is feeling a bit…not needed.” She smiled and sipped her drink again before tipping her head to the side. “Events?”

[[...::Sand 'n Stuff::...]]

"Yes there are tons of things to do here, or so I learned from Aphi. I think I'm just going to sit here in the sand for a while and build sand castles, though," Isi said, agreeing with the other two people who were there, Rai and Damien. The last comment, though, was more for himself than anything. He knew that he was restricted here at the beach and the amount of activities he could participate in. Hmm...With Chloe here, perhaps he could join the story telling group and tell a couple ghost stories! That should make her happy, he thought to himself. He knew she liked them although they scared her.

"Chloe," Isi said, turning away momentarily from the others to smile at her, "When you go sign up for the events, can I come too? I want to tell stories. Perhaps I can try the pie-eating contest too. That's something I should be able to pull off."

Furrowing his brows, Eiry puzzled over the lack of a frightened response from the girl. That was strange. Shouldn't she be terrified? Screaming or something? This wasn't any fun! "She's not a ghost for her spirit is of something else. Spirit in me is of ghosts and spooks!" he told her in his creepy voice.

Maybe he needed to give a little more...Eirdirsceol twisted his face into something more hideous than before, his shoulders hunching up by his neck so that he could raise his ethereal wings high and shrieked a ghastly scream at the girl to scare her away.

"I guess so." He replied shortly while he looked around for the sign-up sheet as if a bit distracted. "Yea... there are some events that are going to be taking place. Something about eating..."

Giving up the search, his stomach did feel a little hungry. He pondered for a moment about it. Even if he loses, he'd have his fill of grub. Then again, it would depend on what is being consumed... Anything he deemed disgusting on that menu, then he definitely will lose his appetite.

"Are you going to join the eating fray too?"

((Beach Bar))

The look of disgust on her face couldn’t be helped when he suggested that she join in on some eating event. It sounded utterly messy and her great dislike for getting dirty unnecessarily screamed in her head. Another sip of frosted heaven, “Sorry mate, I don’t quite see it as the event for me. But good luck to you.” Those cool grey orbs looked about the bar lazily when they spied a clipboard with papers attached to it. Reaching over to claim it, “Oh, is this what you were looking for Aden?” Ebony carefully pawed through it. Pie eating…limbo…paintball, that was an unusual beach event…and storytelling. Both pie eating and paintball sounded messy, but limbo and storytelling might be nice. Though she wasn’t much for telling stories.

.ll Beach Bar ll.

Josh nearly sunk into his seat when Ani approached. He was still edgy about seeing her so soon. Was she still embarrassed about their little incident as well? Or was he just be too self conscious? The boy focused on the table in front of himself, burning holes into it with his gaze. Maybe if he avoided eye contact…

“Josh?”

Crap, he had been spotted. Josh straightened up and allowed a lopsided grin to grace his lips. However, his expression quickly faltered when he noticed thin trails of blood dripping down the girl’s pale back. The crimson seemed to mix with her ivory flesh and pooled at the waistband of her azure swimming bottoms. Josh hissed as if he could also feel Ani’s pain. His eyes made one last pass over the crisscrossed scratches marring her back before he spoke, “Do you need help there… looks quite painful.” Josh determined that a gash to the back was not the most conveniently placed injury around. The boy pursed his lips contemplatively and helped her take the necessities out of the first aid kit. First, the wound should be disinfected…

[[ENTERING BEACH - SAND N STUFF ]]

Aphismet finally walked onto the sand after finding a parking spot. Who knew it would be so difficult?! Rivener hadn't even complained about Aphismet's overly-picky decision-making, passing this spot and then that spot, waiting for the perfect one. He wanted to find a place not too far so that Isi wouldn't have to walk so long on the way back, but not too close that Isi would see right through it; the boy was still prideful, after all. Aphi liked to pretend he didn't know, and Isi liked to pretend he didn't realize his brother knew. It was a delicate balance.

But finally, a car had pulled out of a perfect spot, and Aphi had parked the car!

It had then been a matter of convincing Rivener to leave the car. Riv hadn't seen another Raevan or person since The Incident, and he'd hoped to keep it that way. He wasn't sure how to act around anyone anymore, he even felt awkward around his own family. The idea of showing up at a beach where a ton of people would be...

Rivener felt comfortable in the car, anyway. It felt nice and familiar, when the insides got all warm from the sun, all stuffy and closed-in... But Aphismet was a persistent one, buzzing protests in the Scorpion's ear until Riv had sighed in defeat and exited the vehicle.

The sea breeze tried to flip Rivener's hair, but he'd thought ahead; it was tied back in a loose ponytail, so that it wouldn't get in the way of his photos. Trusty digital camera in hand, Rivener followed his guardian to the sand.

"Here we are! Wow, look at all the people! And so many Raevans, too! I know know some of them," Aphismet blinked, noticing many more females in particular. He glanced at Riv, hoping the Scorpion wouldn't put up a fuss.

Rivener wasn't even looking up, pretending to be busy cycling through his camera's memory and deleting pictures he didn't want to keep. Riv only shrugged when he felt Aphi's gaze on him, not paying attention to what was said.

"Well, I'm going down. You shouldn't stay here the whole time, you know... Get down there, see some people! I think I see Roux..." Aphi spotted Chloe and Isi, Eiry and Roux, scattered around the beach seemingly having fun. Hopefully Rivener would loosen up a bit and return to his old self soon, surrounded by all these folk.

Aphi walked out onto the sand, enjoying the warm feeling against his sandals.

Rivener flicked his eyes up to see Aphismet leaving his side. It felt like a weight was lifting off the dark Frei's shoulders, as always. He finally looked around and began floating further into the beach, lifting his camera and looking for a good picture to start off the day.

Kale had left Ani alone using his pale feet to toss up the dirt that laid loosely on the ground. A small breeze shook his clothes a little. Looking up he found himself looking at a darker Reaven. The others seemed to be more light in color, just staring for a second he looked in interest.

The Reaven seemed to be messing with some sort of device, losing a bit of interest he looked around for anyone else but looked away as there was no one. Turning his head to the horizon he watched the water out in the distance churn to the ocean current. Sliding to a halt he continued watching the horizon before he managed to distract himself once again.

He found himself looking at the Reaven once again. Trying to look away he turned to the Beach Bar to find himself looking at Ani. Why couldn't he look anywhere without being reminded of something? "Stupid Reavens, stupid Ani" he whispered, just complaining. Everything always turned out bad.

Aden noticed the strange expression on her face, rather than taking it as offensively, he broke out with amused laughter. He couldn't help but think, who wouldn't want to eat as much as they can? Well, I guess it seemed he was the only one feeling that way since it had only been him who is been feeling hunger.

"Thanks... but I guess you don't like to eat?" he poke playfully at the girl.

Meanwhile his curiosity wandered over to the clipboard Ebony was in possession of. "Yup, that's the sign-up sheet alright."

Each of the activities sounded interesting. In order to make the most of his time here, he definitely had to participate in the paintball one. Where else would he find that excitement and adrenaline rush? In fact, he believed this might help with a manga he was working on dealing with guns and action and what not...

Trying not to drift off away, he smiled awkwardly at Ebony as he situated back into reality. "So... which ones are you going to do?"

Just how bad the blood looked was unknown to the girl, though there had been a fair amount that she wiped off when first examining if any was there or not. She had yet to wipe that bit off of her hand, and there it stayed. With her not bloody hand, she moved her two braids in front of her shoulders so that any stray hairs wouldn't touch the blood that she could still feel leaking, if only in tiny bubbles. Mouse's abrupt slamming of the first-aid kit on the bar had indeed drawn her attention away from Josh for a few seconds, and she quickly ushered a 'thank you' to the green haired girl before she was out of earshot.

"Uh-um... yeh.. that'd be helpful," rarely had she ever had to treat herself of anything more then a scratch, and trying to cover all of the scratches on her back alone would be stupid. It was damn lucky there was some one here she knew, now, to replace Tony in the meantime, though she hoped dearly the overworked girl would be back soon.

Tango, after going up and sniffing at the blood on Ani's back, then moved his attention to Josh as well, smelling, huffing, padding around his chair and giving tiny licks of affection to the brunette's feet. She, too, waded through the kit to fit the things that they would need for this. Would she have to wrap bandages all around her torso, or would the larger, knee-sized band-aid's do the trick? She was never good at this medical stuff, but as she saw Josh reach for the disinfectant she winced. Yes, that had to come first, but damn it all.

"...Ever done this before?" a very small laugh, and a weak one at that. She was trying to make herself feel better about the situation, really. Glancing around, she wasn't sure if they should be doing this right up close to the bar or perhaps move out further to the beach, where people wouldn't get distracted and possibly grossed out by the blood or her subsequent curses that were sure to follow the foaming liquid's contact with her skin.
