"That is a look of greed you have" he said as he turned to walk away. "That is something I can respect, and oddly enough something I can trust. I have no worries my note will arrive without problems." And with that he vanished, on to more to his next destination, and on to more 'business'.

Reivan pocketed the note and turned back to face the gate, waiting patiently.

A courier left a letter at the servants entrance. It was addressed to Lord Valatar, it read.
Lord Valatar
The body of one of your lords, Zarud Helviiryn, has been found. From evidence on the scene he had been mugged, though the attack was too precise. The attaker knew he was undead so they attacked while he inspected his soul. A lone man was seen leaving the area, he was an albino drow with black hair. He shouldn't be too hard to find but we have only found a few leads. We must consider him a threat to the city until his attentions are clear.

-The Shadowed that guarded the gate oozed from the walls on either side and slid forward to where Revian waited. Their emotionless features took in everything without revealing much, but the weapons they carried left no doubt as to their purpose. One of them steps closer and speaks in its oddly disembodied voice- "What brings you to this house.. master assassin?"

"I have a business proposition for Lady Erelala if she is available" he explained calmly, keeping his hands in sight.

The great nightmare whinnied as she approached the gates. She could tell that several were out and about. Probably more visitors and recruits for Val'atar.

-The Shadowed bows as Erelala approaches, both of them seeming to shy back a few steps from her. Neither of the creatures would look directly at her either as they showed their deference, the one who had spoken before whispers again- "Your pardon General.. this Illithyrii only just informed us that his business was with you, our pardon."
-Giving Revian a quick glance, the two creatures rise and turn to move back to the wall, fading into its ebony mass, leaving the others to their privacy.. or what could pass for it in this realm-

Reivan seemed to sway a moment and he lifted a hand to his head but only briefly. He had lost his connection with Seth's doll for the moment,t he will of the dollmaker was too strong to counter at the moment. Blinking a few times he lowered his hand and looked up at Erelala with his usually secretive smile.

Dismounting from her steed she smoothed her gown or what little there was with her right hand. Erelala turned her attention to the Shadowed for a moment giving them a curt nod of her head, spilling her silvery hair over her shoulder before turning her attention back to Reivan. She knew the Shadowed were still close by but she payed them no heed. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your company Lord Reivan?" she spoke walking forward to pass through the gates, her gaze catching sight of his crooked smile.

"I have a business proposal you may be interested in, regarding the goings on of our rival city Ullorbbath (probably spelled that wrong)" he said turning to keep facing her as she passed.

"A business proposal for me?" she asked unsure why he would want to speak with her. Erelala stopped and turned, her eyes softening as she looked to Reivan. "Do you not wish to speak to Valatar with such a proposal as he is the Lord of the first house, over seer of the city? If there is in fact troubles with Ulorbbath then what need do you have of me?"

"Not nessesarily trouble, I was on my way there to do some work for the Serpent Lord, I figured that while I was there I could gather information about defenses, layout and the like, As for my reasons on coming to you, i figure Val'atar would be less than happy to see me after the incident and besides, the last time I did business with you the outcome was...more than favorable, I can't say the same about your lord." He explained calmly.

-Deep within the heart of the hanging fortress that is Qu'ellar Druu'giir, a being sat in complete darkness on a throne of pure obsidian. Before him lay the mirrors he often used to spy upon the city, but they lay dark and silent at the moment. Around him in the room, experiments and spells lay cast about as if throw from the various tables they once called home.
Silent, barely moving save for the rise and fall of his chest, Val'atar Druu'giir sat alone and withdrawn from the world around him, his thoughts turned inwards as he sought to conquer his own mind. His newly gained power was fickle and difficult to control and it taxed him greatly, but he spend days without sleep or food, fighting within himself to master it.
In a realm of his own making within his own mind, he battled with himself, to beat down his inner beast and master himself as the Riverwitch had shown. His thoughts bled from him, at times causing his body to bleed as well as the lashing out of power found its touch upon his flesh, but none of it did he heed. Not pain, nor hungry nor sleep. His was the mind of a demon and with such came the hunger for power that consumed all else, lending him the resolve to shoulder aside mere discomforts and pains that his mind might possess this terrible new gift.
When at last the figure in the darkness stirred.. glowing red eyes opening to cast his gaze about.. he smiled a terrible smile and spoke in a whisper-
"I will remind them all why they fear the darkness..."

Sibilant laughter greeted his ears from the shadows of his mind.
"Good," it purred, caressing the patron's thoughts. The siren was pleased.
"You've shown remarkable capability-- for a Drow. You have learned to wield my power well. Consider yourself lucky... an ordinary creature would have gone mad by now.." She paused for a moment, as if that particular consequence amused the twisted maiden, and spoke again.
"Zephain will take you to my home. I am expecting you soon, Illythiiri, for there is much you have yet to learn..."
With another hiss, it vanished, leaving him alone to his machinations.
