You can try to pretend all you want in a situation that you're being the perfect person. But, on the inside all you want to do is take the instrument, tune it up a bit, and squeak out the highest note into the irritating person's ear.

Oh, yea. Nick, the tuba plyer, did that once to a kid. Mr. Taylor, our devilish band director, took the tuba away, and stripped him of his title as section leader.

I found a sax player's case that had a speaker and a CD player built into it...

One year at band camp, while we were in "small sectionals" (translation: goof-off time), we made up this game:
Put a pencil on a music stand and spin the stand as hard as you can.
5 pts if it hits someone
10 pts if it ricochets off a horn
15 pts if it goes in someone's bell
50 pts if it gets stuck in there
...and if you have to call in the BD to get it out, YOU WIN!! mrgreen

During symphonic band, a french horn player, during his 10 measures or so of rests, lobbed a wadded-up piece of paper to the center of the third row (he was sitting second row, left end) and managed to get it in the tuba who was playing... we all started cracking up, tuba player didn't notice though...
And when I first started bass clarinet, I found that a parakeet fits real nicely in teh bell, it's teh perfect place for them to just kinda of chill and sit in...(I'm not mean enough to play while they're in it, though).

I put my mouth piece (trumpet) and put it in my staight mute and started buzzing on the mouth piece it made a really funny noise lol

I know it's not very original, but if someone annoys me during band, I pretend my clarinet is a bat and nearly hit them with it. 3nodding 3nodding blaugh blaugh (I'm having fun with the emoticons!) rofl whee

Also, I put the bell up to my friend's ear and SQUEAK as loud as I can. It makes her jump like two friggin feet in the air. rofl rofl rofl her face is like eek eek eek Fun. xd

if you take a trumpet harmon mute and hit it lightly on the hole(the hole that goes in the bell)like a drum with the palm of your hand it sounds funky.

I haven't done anything to silly w/ my instruments but two of my friends have. One plays flute and she wanted to see how far she could get her finger stuck. well she went in pretty far and got it stuck. Same deal with my other friend but w/ a trumpet mouth peice!
