(No worries, Yoshmi. I've had those times, too, before the hack. Then I figured out the dice seem to be time sensitive, or at least they are for me. And, because I didn't have a clue what to do for "gray with a tint of blue" eyes (much to my shame... I'm a make-up-aholic), I asked my fashion forward friend, Kelsey (also known as my little bringer of doom), and she suggested the Bring Out the Blue make-up collection by Almay, so that's what I'm basing Naoki's choices off of.)

"My n-name is Naoki," the little girl said with a shy smile, unable to help the slight stutter. She really felt out of place here... Digging through the make-up kit a little, she thought over what would compliment the other girl's gray eyes with their hint of blue. She layed out a warm shade of brown to start with, then bit her lower lip in thought, Perhaps a sapphire blue in the crease to accent the blue? With a lighter blue to blend into the rest of the lid? Laying those out, as well as a pearl-like color to serve as a highlight, she asked her partner softly, "D-do these look r-right to you?" Giving her partner a chance to consider the options she had laid out, Naoki took the time to try and find a brush in the make-up kit. She had seen the other girls using their fingertips, but she had wondered if a brush or a small sponge would allow more control over the powder, so was taking the time to look.

{It's alright~It still works out in the end ^_^ Right now the dice isn't liking me much anyways..}

Serena circled her finger in the shiny gold, and moved it towards her partner's eyes. Where would she start with the gold? Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get so much eyeshadow on her finger first. The Raiken began rubbing all of the gold onto her own arm, so that it left a bright streak of shiny gold in one area. Then she slightly rubbed her finger into the gold again and began to apply somewhere a little bit before the tips of Hanabira's eyes. Then she continued to mix her finger with the gold and rub it into the dark brown areas, hoping that it would eventually get to the right color that she wanted.

Serena continued to apply the gold until she reached the tips, then as she had said, she let the rest of the gold on her fingers trail off of her partner's eyes to the side. When it was all complete, the Raiken let out a breath. "There, I think your eyes are completely done. What do you think? Oh wait, I still need to outline your lips and apply the mascara. I almost forgot! Just a few more minutes. You can open your eyes now, though." She told her partner as she wiped off her hands. Then she took a peachy lipliner and carefully began lining Hanabira's lips. Once that was done, she picked up the mascara and untwisted the top, revealing a weird..brush thing. 'This thing is for eyelashes? How am I going to do this without messing up?' Serena thought to herself. It was hard for her to find out how to use it. In the end, she just carefully brushed Hanabira's eyelashes on the top and bottom twice. It seemed like all of this would have been easier if they did it to themselves. She sighed, then leaned back and smiled. "Alright, it's all done!" All in all, the Raiken felt like she had done a pretty good job!

What seemed to her like the only logical approach to their problem seemed to repulse Tanu worse than a pile of dung. It was as if the arrogant girl cared more about how tough she looked to other people than on proving it to herself. Like, if it would be easier to end an argument by walking away rather than continuing and losing sight of the disagreement that started the whole conflict, Orika was almost certain that Tanu would choose to prolong the debate. Then again, she wasn't sure how'd she react either. Like, right now, the girl didn't feel like conceding anymore to the haughty brat. If Tanu was stupid enough to reject her offer to mend their relationship, why would Orika waste any more energy trying to get along? So, when the minty-haired girl threatened her, Orika angrily retorted, "It's impossible to mess your face up any more." She looked at the selection of powders and creams in the make up kit, wondering if there was anything akin to modesty in there. Tanu's eyes were so difficult to match, mostly because the eyeshadow powder catered to natural colors. However, that also meant that she could use a larger variety and experiment around a lot more. Instead of being retrained to just one boring color, she'd have at least three to choose from. Well, that was all nice and dandy in theory, but the girl couldn't even find one that didn't make Tanu's weird eyes look anything but monstrous. Or... maybe that was just the devilish glare the younger girl was giving her. Orika avoided Tanu's gaze and put a lot of concentration in contrasting a row of yellows that looked exactly the same.

Upon discovering that a golden color might bring out the often unnoticed ochre rings around Tanu's eyes, the girl set aside the least used container. Chances were that the other colors were contaminated by a mix of colors or even just dirt and skin oils. But, she wasn't through just yet. Orika forced herself to look deep into Tanu's eyes while her hands moved around, trying to pick out colors that matched, but didn't bring out either of her eyes that much. Going with a mix of red and a dark green didn't work since those colors contrasted, making anyone who stared into the impulsive girl's eyes dizzy. The little bright spot of light almost completely hidden by the fiery red and broody green was difficult to work with, but couldn't be ignored. Orika decided she wanted more people to notice that subtle, kind of alluring characteristic. She considered using purple, but decided against it since that would make the controllable orange ring of fire erupt into a heathen blaze. Anything darker might clash with the scarlet. This was so frustrating, but at the same time, kind of fun. Wait, did she just admit that messing around with girly make up was anything but torture? Orika rested her chin on the desk, staring glumly at the mash of palm sized containers sprawled across the icy, wooden surface. Everything that she tried to make compatible with Tanu shirked far, far away! "Gah, how're we supposed to know what goes well with what color?" Orika complained. She almost considered just picking any eye shadow color and ending the frustration. It wasn't was if Tanu'd be able to tell the difference. Then again, did she really want to show her lack of knowledge so early in the school year? Orika puffed out her cheeks and chewed on a thumb fingernail, glancing from color to color.

No way she was going to concede to someone so full of herself! Orika took in a breath of air, realizing she forgot to breath. A few deep breaths later, her mind slowed enough for the girl to think clearly. Being reckless was a kid's thing and she bet she was older than anyone else in here. Orika was still concentrating on calming herself when Tanu threw another insult her way. The girl huffed out the air she'd been holding in her mouth so that her golden cheeks shrunk, eyes narrowing. She parted her lips as if to deflect with a great comeback, but stopped short. Darn it! Tanu was right! Orika never paid special attention to her appearance until today and she'd always liked having plain, natural beauty. So, in her mind, boring wasn't necessarily so bad. Then, why did it sound so vile coming out of Tanu's mouth? The farm girl picked up a case of pink foundation, tossing the disk from hand to hand. Hm, if she was boring, then Tanu was too interesting. Wait, that didn't sound right either. Maybe... she didn't need much cosmetics, only enough to bring out the good orange rim. Yeah, that was it! Orika practically hopped out of her chair, a wide grin unfurling itself on her face. "I got it! Hee, you're gonna like this, Tanu," she chirped, holding out the pink-purple container. "I think you're a fus... chi... ay..." Orika muttered, struggling with the strange word. Nah, too dark. "No. Peach! Then, I'll add just a little of this orange, okay?" The eager beaver glanced excitedly at the powders, proud that her color choices actually might work. The peach blended in with Tanu's skin, but was different enough to make the red in her eyes stand out. Then, the orange would signal to people to look for the orange in her eyes! But, wait, how did you get powder to stick on eyes anyway? Ugh!

"You're weclome," the blond nurse said. After Tenko gave the new creams to Akiko, she heard her name being called by a little fiesty voice. "Coming," she said, making her away across the floor to where Tanu and Orika were sitting. She listened to Tanu's question and smiled. "Nice start, Orika-chan," Tenko said to the girl who was moving her way onto Tanu's eyes while Tanu was stuck. "See, Tanu, Orika's eyes are a reddish brown and her skin is very tan, so you want to use a dark brown and then accent it with a mahogany color that will bring out the reddish tint in her eyes," Tenko explained to Tanu. "Do you understand?" she asked the girl, turning to her with a smile.

Kumiko had been standing silently by, watching the young Raiken girl work her magic on the quiet soft hearted Yamanaka. When she heard her announce completion, Kumiko was already smiling and clapping her hands. "You did a wonderful job, Serena-chan!" Kumiko said, leaning down to inspect. "We can barely see your freckles, Hana-chan," Kumiko said with a smile. "It'll be a shame to put your glasses back on to cover up your beautiful eyes... We should have Tenmoki-sensei look into some procedure to fix your eyes. I would imagine having glasses as a shinobi would be difficult," Kumiko said to the girl. "Let's see how you do on Serena, Hana," Kumiko said, having it picked out in her mind that Hana would need lots of help since she was so timid.

Hanabira stayed perfectly still as Serena carefully put the make up on her eyes. While she sat there quietly, she paid attention to everything that Serena was doing. Where she placed the powders, where she started, how she brushed colors together and Hanabira listened to the words coming out of her mouth as she explained what she was doing. Hanabira had played with make up before, but she had never really put it on seriously. Her little ears also picked up on tips that Tenko and Kumiko were giving to the other girls while they were working with the powders. As Serena completed Hanabira, she opened her eyes. They felt heavier than usual even though the powder was light and mascara wasn't extremly heavy. It was hard to resist the urge to lick her lips, but Hanabira did well not too. "Thank you," Hanabira said to Serena with a small smile and then blushing slightly when Kumiko complimented them both. The thought of having her eyes fixed so that she didn't have to wear glasses was like a dream, but Kumiko made it sound very possible.

"Mm, I'll finish your make up now, Serena-chan," Hanabira said, hoping that the colors she picked would be fitting for the girl as well. Hanabira had just heard what Tenko said to Tanu about the skin color playing into the shades. So, where Serena went light with Hanabira, she went dark. Serena's skin was daker than Hanabira's, but not by much, so Hanabira didn't go too dark. The colors that Serena used were rather close to the ones that Hanabira was using on her. Hanabira's strokes were gentle against Serena's skin as she applied the powder carefully and precisely. Then, Hanabira went on to the mascara and lips, making sure not to bump her skin with the strange mascara brush. The entire time Hanabira worked, she was silent and her face was unchanging, save for when she was finished. "Done," Hanabira said with a small smile on her face.

Kumiko admitted to herself that she was honestly impressed by how well Hanabira did Serena's make up. The nurse knew she was shy and timid, which lead her to believe that Hanabira wasn't confident. However, she was very smart and picked up on things fast. "Nicely done, Hana-chan," Kumiko said to the girl as she finished up Serena's make up. "Seems like you two have done this before. How about we move onto hair? We won't be able to do much with your hair, Hanabira, but if we put some beautiful ornaments in it, it will bring attention to you," Kumiko said as she went back to her case of goodies and pulled out some hair pins, combs and other various acessories. "We're going to have fun with your hair, Serena," Kumiko said as she ran her hand through the hair being held up by Serena's pony tail. Also from her case, Kumiko pulled out some mirrors for the girls to work with. "Why don't we try some twists and knots with yours, Serena?" Kumiko suggested, taking out some hair pieces that would allow the girl to roll up her long hair into buns and knots.

Serena waited until Hanabira completely finished her eyes and then opened them, looking into a mirror. "Wow, Hana-san you did such a good job! I really like it!" She exclaimed happily as she looked at how nicely her partner had done the browns and golds. They were also the first to finish, which was a nice accomplishment for both of them. The Raiken was even more excited when she heard that the next excercise would have her do her hair. "Mn, okay!" She was having so much fun this class..doing stuff that normal girls would be doing. She looked at all the beautifully decorated hairpieces and wondered where to start. How should she do her hair first? Maybe in a bun? Yeah, that's what she'll do, a bun first. Serena pulled out the ponytail and combed it out so that she could pull it up even better for a bun.

"Can you hold still for a minute?" the feisty girl asked her partner, holding the peach eyeshadow case up to the light. She was just checking if this was the right choice 'cause Tenko said she couldn't go back if she messed up. Orika also didn't want to mess up anymore. As far as she could tell, she'd been the most troublesome one in the class and that wasn't a good way to start out. Orika rubbed a little of the powder onto her fingers and reached up to Tanu's lids. Wait a minute. This didn't feel right. She could practically feel the other girls' eyes drilling into her back, shoving their hidden razor-sharp kunai in between her shoulders! Or, maybe it was just her consciousness telling her she was about to make a major blunder. That sounded better, but Orika peeked behind her just in case. Okay, good, no one was looking. Wiping the cool, powdery make up on a small hand towel, she sat back in her chair and tried to figure out what went wrong. Was it the color choice? Nah, she'd deliberated over that too much. Oh, duh! It was just like with the sponge. Orika saw Naoki fumble around and take out a small brush so she decided to try the same since Akiko's eyes were looking really cool! When she dug around in the make up bag, however, a wide variety of brushes greeted her, with everything from what appeared like paintbrushes to tiny sticks barely ten hairs across. Orika gave a small, almost catlike moan.

She was done wasting time. Real ladies didn't spend this much time on simple foundation and eye shadow everyday did they? They also had their hair, clothing, perfumes, and whatever else she never knew about to take care of, all before scurrying off to take care of early morning chores. There had to be a faster way to get all this done. Orika seized a small, red handled brush that looked like it would fit on Tanu's lids and dipped the first millimeter into the peach eyeshadow. She applied a layer on Tanu's closed eyes and then reached for the reddish orange eyeshadow. The container actually called it Citrus Sunrise, but the girl found that to be really dumb. Oranges didn't have anything to do with the sun coming up. Shaking her head, she brushed a thinner layer of the orange powder on both lids. Unfortunately, that didn't look right at all; It was as if Orika had merely smeared two random colors that clashed onto someone's skin. Light pink or salmon blotches showed through a caked fire. Orika tried to cover up the thin spots with her fingers and surprisingly, the colors blended together to reveal something half decent. In fact, if she squinted of course, the girl could almost see the way Tanu's left eye popped out, screaming to be noticed. She did the same for the other eye and scooted back in her chair to admire her work, thinking how great it'd be if Tanu could get the same result on her eyes.

Orika was about to raise her hand and ask for the next step. Kumiko had been giving out instructions to Hana and Serena, but she hadn't caught any words. Looking upon Hana's face, Orika frowned when she noticed the girl's eyes a lot darker than she remembered, far removed from the everyday bamboo-green hue. At first, the girl thought the cause was Hanabira's new eyeshadow, but Serena had put on a light golden powder. Even though she knew next to zilch about cosmetics, Orika was sure there was something else at play here. She must have stared at the freckled child's face for ten minutes before she turned her head and revealed thicker eyelashes. Orika blinked, not sure what to do next. Had Hana stuck a pair of fake eyelashes on when she wasn't looking? She looked closer at Serena and noticed the same thing. But, but, Tenko and Kumiko didn't say anything about fake eyelashes! Frustrated, Orika shoved her hand in the air. Without waiting longer than two seconds, she blurted out, "Can I have some eyelashes too, sensei, like Serena and Hana? If you're out, I could run and get them!" Like any normal girl, Orika was tired of sitting in one place for so long. She hoped the next class wasn't going to be this passive. While waiting for a response, she reexamined Tanu's eyes and held out the eye shadow brush, saying, "Try using this thingy. Makes it easier to smooth out the powders and mix them." It had worked pretty well on the Kun Kumo girl and Akiko and Hanabira so Orika didn't want her face to appear any less pretty.

Serena began to use the comg to neatly brush up bit of her hair into a nice ponytail so the bun would look pretty. While doing so, she overheard Orika and Tanu's conversations while she looked through the mirror. It couldn't be helped. Those two just seemed like an interesting pair, she just had to watch and smile..they didn't seem to be doing so bad, though, except for getting along. "There, a nice ponytail...now how do I do a bun?" She had seen someone do it somewhere before..maybe at a salon like place or something, but didn't seem to remember exactly how they had done it.

Tanu's facial expressions changed slightly as Orika made the insult about her face. Her cheeks puffed up a bit as she slit a quick glare at the girl before Tenko came over to them. However, Tenko seemed to be taking her sweet time and Orika continued to talked. Leaning her chin into her hand and placing her head at an awkward angle for Orika to work on, Tanu just continued to glare. "You talk a lot," Tanu said in sheer annoyance as the girl went on about colors, peaches and oranges. Tanu knew she wasn't going to look very good after Orika was finished with her. The stubborn youth sat up slightly as Tenko came over and began talking to them. She gave Orika a compliment about her ramblings and such and Tanu just rolled her eyes. Then she began to explain what Tanu should do. With her words and explaination, the Kun Kumo could figure out what it meant by 'accenting' the eyes with a color. "Yea, I understand now," Tanu said, sitting up straight in her chair to face Orika, who just told her to sit still. As much as the girl hated taking orders, she knew that she should be sitting still. She could tell that Orika was admiring what she had done to Tanu's face. The look in her eyes told Tanu that Orika was actually trying and not making Tanu look absolutely hideous. Taking the powders back up in her hand, Tanu held the colors that Tenko had just suggested. "Close your eyes," Tanu ordered Orika as she held up the brush to the girl's face.

Orika nervously glanced at the assortment of powders and colours in Tanu's hands, making sure the girl didn't ask what to put on her just to go the opposite way, before obeying. While she waited for her adversary to finish, Orika thought more about the eyelashes. She wondered what it was about eyes that made people spend so much time beautifying those melon-shaped organs and on why darker eyelashes made the eyes jump out like people. Didn't people usually wear black to hide from others? Orika thought back to all those spy comics she read, especially the ones with women in them. For some reason, the ladies always wore sneak suits with midrifts exposed and low cut tank tops. That getup didn't seem like much protection from the light at all. But, the black did make their skin pop out and people tended to pay more attention to whatever wasn't covered up in fabric. It was like with the eyes; Who really wanted to look at eyelashes anyway? Or, was it all because wearing black in public made you look suspicious? All in all, it seemed make up was supposed to make people look at you. But then, why were they supposed to wear make up to blend in with other people? Orika squirmed in her seat, suddenly uncomfortable with all the questions and no answers.
