"Valley of Kings? That's where you guys are headed? Are you like, tourists, or something?" Joan asked offhandedly, not expecting any real answer to her question. She was just trying to make conversation.

Aneisa cringed when Serrenedy said Demona's name out loud, but it seemed as if none of the others had really noticed it or was curious. Serrenedy could be very sweet, and normally, Aneisa would find her child-like innocence adorable, if a little annoying. But currently, she almost wanted to tear the girl's throat.
Checking her bags like Alex suggested, she looked at the new girl that had apparently been dragged into things. "'Or something' is probably a little closer to the situation. I'm actually beginning to feel like I'm in a frickin' Indiana Jones movie." Finding a bit of humor and more than a bit of a plot bunny hiding in that comment, she smiled a little. "Actually, that's not a bad idea. If we get out of this alive, I should wright this all up as an Indie fan fic." She smiled a bit at the idea.

Alex looked at the time, and decided to wander back into the city. "Well, I think it's best I get us some supplies so we can start heading on our way." He said to the group before he headed back into th ciry, now quiet. "Meet me back here in an hour, all right? Spend the last of the money I gave you if it isn't already stolen." He reminded the 2. Looking at the new girl, he smiled. "Think of us more like treasure hunters." He told her as he walked back into the egyptian city.
A while later, he met Achmed, and they made the neccesary arrangements and came out of the city with 3 camels. "2 people per camel, i'm afraid." He said to them.

Durban59- Alex wasn't in the mood at the moment. But, seeing as though she was a good friend of his, he'd let it slide. He tapped the top of her forehead, and laughed. "Keep that up, and you're gonna miss the valley of the kings." He warned her. Jessica looked like she was going to cry. She was just faking it though. "Really? You mean it? You would leave me?" she said, looking at him with sad eyes. She was curious to ask what the one girl meant about something named Demona and when Alex talked about treasure hunters, but she thought it was best to keep her mouth shut.

Aneisa, having been in many less than upstanding cities before, had split her share of the money up into several different places, so that even if one or two pick pockets had hit her, she wouldn't loose too much money. She found that while two of the most common hiding places, her pockets, had been robbed, they had held the smallest majority of the cash, and found that her socks and her bra, naturally, still held their stores. "Well, I've still got most of mine, how 'bout you, Serrenedy? Of course, since you pretty much wiped out that store we were at, I can't see you having a need to buy anything else." She tried to look disapproving, but couldn't help a small smile. Then, remembering the other two, she turned to them. "you're more than welcome to join us, of course."

Alex then just laughed at her, and nodded. "I don't see why not. After all, i'm sure you can find your way back to america after ALL this has just happened." He told her, noting the near destruction of the city.

"Alex you're so mean!" Jessica exclaimed. "I can't believe you would even say that!" she said, in her fake angry voice.

Alex just mde his way over to her, and wrapped his arm around her neck, giving her a nuggie with his free hand. "Aw, shaddup and let's go shopping, k?" He told her, now being a little more serious.

Jessica blushed a little but looked at Alex, now angry for real. "Alex! You messed up my hair!" she pouted. When he said shopping she smiled. "Fine, I'll go shopping with you...but you might regret it." she said. Truth be told, she liked to shop, but was a terrible shopper, her mom had even told her so.

Aneisa watched the two friends spatting back and forth with a bit of a smile on her face. "Alright, alright, you two. Leave the all this display of affection till later, k? Are we all going in one group or splitting up? And if we're splitting up, who's going with whom and is there anything specific that needs to get picked up?"

Alex just looked to Anesia, and snuffed. "Well, we'll meet back here after you know when." He told her, hoping she'd get the message. "The rest of you, meet back here at 10 sharp." He then moved sharply to Achmed, pointing a finger. "That means you too." He warned him.

It took just a brief second, but Aneisa got the message loud and clear. "Alright, sounds like a plan. We'll make it here." After looking at the sky to check the sun, she looked back at the girls. "Alright ladies, who's with me for a bit of shopping? We've got a little time left."

Serrenedy blushed when the fact of buying came up-but who could blame her, the place was a mess. "I wanna buy a collar and some food for my new pet" She proclaimed takeing the timid Dino outside of her bag

Joan's eyebrow raised when Serrenedy took one of the creatures out of her bag. She decided to put it off as just her nature.
"I think I'm gonna hang with you guys for a while. But, instead of shopping, I've got stuff in my hotel that I need to get." She turned, dropping her staff in the process, breaking part of the large gem off, "Crap. not again. Stupid old relic," Joan leaned down to pick up the chunk of crystal out of the sand. Wiping it off, she put it near another part of the crystal, and it lit up to the point where it would hurt if you stared directly at the bright, blue light. When she removed her hand, the light was gone, and the broken piece of crystal was melded into the opposite side of the large crystal that it had fallen out of.
"Okay, so, meet here at 10, then?" She looked up and smiled at the group.

"Yep, 10." He said as he walked into the city. Alex then walked towards the streets of the city, and managed to get his things from the bar before anyone could take a good look, shoving it into his backpack. Moving out of the city before dark, he waited outside for the rest of the group.
