Nope. About five years ago. 3nodding I really haven't kept up with it either. sweatdrop Though taking 14 years of it, it would be ingrained... 3nodding

Does fencing count? I can do that. :3nod
I also took some ninjutsu which I combine with free running, I started doing so as a joke because it's pretty much what fictional ninjas do, now it's pretty much how I do exercise. 3nodding

Good for you, Scoot! Though, now I ask the question of "Why did you quit?"
Duke: Fencing = heart Go, DUKE! blaugh Though, to be honest Ninjutsu combined with running sounds a bit far fetched to me as well... sweatdrop

Freerunning is not that hard, it's just physically taxing, fencing I took in High school, ninjutsu I took during college out of boredom, it's a whole way of life, more than just a martial arts, that's something that I found really interested, a friend made note that combining the two would be amazing, I tried and found it to feel good, I don't study ninjutsu anymore, because of the lack of time/training facilities, but I do Parkour and freerun to stay fit, if you where to be near where I live you can see me freerunning in the evening. If I lived somewhere with a calmer sun I would do it whenever I had the chance. American Parkour is a good website to start on the world of Parkour. Freerunning is not the same thing as just running. 3nodding Why would I bullshit you guys? sad You guys think I just stay still in my desk all the time? Don't think so. xd

Kita: No, wait, I remember now... I don't remember how long it took, but I advanced about five belts. 3nodding I think I was halfway to black belt, and a quarter of the way to learning how to do a hadoken*.
Duke: I know what freerunning is, and it's awesome. biggrin Do you have any videos? 3nodding And it's not that I don't trust you, Duke, because I do. But...
-You get paid quite a lot for your job -You were once in a rock band and know guitar (or bass?) -You know ninjutsu (or, did at one point) -You are a freerunner in your down time (which is pretty flipping impressive)
...how perfect can that get? blaugh
*Yeah, I wish... xp

Yes, I know that free running is not the same as running, but as Scoot has pointed out, you've just got so much going for you, that it's become a bit skeptical is all. sweatdrop I commend you for your lifestyle. 3nodding
Scoot: Wow. Five belts in a year? That's pretty quick. eek You want to learn the hadoken? xd Boys. rolleyes

Well that because I don't point out my bad points, for once, I had an unconventional childhood, I'm easily annoyed, my intolerance for stupidity is abysmally low, I sometimes overwork myself to the point where I was forbidden to work after 50 hours, I'm not easy to get a hold off,I hate answering my phone...the list can continue forever. 3nodding
I also love learning new things, I hate standing around saying "look how cool that is, I wish I could do that," I try to do it, sometimes resulting in injury, thus learning a few things. xd

I never did get the whole "let's watch someone who is good at that." mentality. I'd rather try it myself. 3nodding Even if I suck, at least I'm out there. I don't like answering my phone very much either, but that gives me an idea~! Duke, would you mind PMing me your cell number? You're not afraid of text messages, are you? xd

Kita: Well, it could've been two years. It was quite a long time ago. I could barely remember doing karate in the first place, yet alone remembering how long it took. sweatdrop And who wouldn't want to learn the hadoken? blaugh
Duke: So, it seems that you're really more of an introvert, but you enjoy showing off and learning new skills? 3nodding

Not really on showing off, I pretty much like to prove to myself that I'm capable of doing X thing. Okay it's pretty much showing off to myself, you know, I'm just a maniac like that. xd
I don't have text messaging enable on my phone, too much spam. sad
Not to mention we live on the opposite ends of the country. 3nodding

Spam, on your phone? Hmm, I've never gotten spam before. stare I think you're pulling my leg, but that's okay. xd
I haven't gone out to try something, just to try it in a loooooong time. That's sad if you think about it... sweatdrop
