BZZZ! BZZZ! BZZZ!

"Muh? Whuzzat?" Adrienne blinked bleary eyes at the alarm clock beside her bed, then started glaring at the small rays of sunshine filtering through her drapes. The obnoxious clock kept bzzzing at her as she dropped her head back into the pillow and tried to get back to sleep. No such luck. The girl groped around on the bedside table for a minute, managing to knock over several things she didn't want to identify before finally latching onto the alarm. Apparently, the snooze button was broken, because the damn thing wouldn't shut upp when she attacked it with her fingers. Adrienne stuffed her head underneath the pillow and yanked on the alarm clock, dragging the dord out of the wall. The bzzzing fizzled out, but it wasn't enough; the little b*****d had woken her from a fantastic dream featuring Brad Pitt, and it had to pay. She tossed it.

CLANG.

Her arm couldn't bend very far, so instead of hitting the wall, the alarm clock crashed to the floor. Adrienne sighed; either way, it was quiet and it had had minor violence wreaked upon it. The girl snuggled back under her blankets, eager to get back to Brad. She rolled onto her side, trying to ignore the niggling feeling in the back of her head that said - loudly - that she was forgetting something.

"Blah!" She jumped and rolled to the side, narrowly missing rolling right off the bed. Markus! Right. House-tour. "What time is it? Dammit, should've checked before I maimed the stupid clock." She got up from the bed and made her way to the bathroom for a quick shower. "Gawd," She groaned, catching sight of herself in the mirror. She probably should've washed the make-up off before going to bed. Briefly she wondered if her pillow looked like a face, but then she hopped into the shower; quickly, quickly, there, she was done, out, dressed in black jeans and a faded Metallica t-shirt, towel-dried hair hanging in damp almost-curly, almost-straight strands around her face, feed Mosh, shoes, shoes... one shoe... "Dammit, where's my shoe? You hid them again, didn't you, cat? Fine, I'll wear different ones..." She breezed out the door, following her new map-notes back to the dining room; the kitchen had to be around the dining room somewhere. "Er... hello?" Adrienne called loudly. "Anyone here?"

Max breezed into the kitchen, still sleep tussled and disgustingly cheerful. "Toast, please," he said off-handedly, not even bothering to look at the man receiving his order as he sat down next to Domanik. "Good morning, all!" He looked at Domanik in a considering sort of way for a moment, then said, almost absently, "He almost looks angrier than usual, don't you think, Mark? Only one explanation; he likes a girl and is absolutely furious with himself. Oh, thanks!" he added as a plate of toast was placed in front of him. He wasted no more time with talking.

Madeline smiled at Dom. "How adorable!" She drank the orange juice and breezed out of the room before he could counter. She walked back to her room and sat down at her laptop. She set up the camera and turned it on. She set it on record and grinned at it.
"Hello!" She waved to the camera. "Hey, you'll get about a five minute tour of the west wing of the house in a bit, but first I need to tell you about my brothers!" She clapped her hands, but didn't get any sound because she was holding the bagel.
"I'll start with the eldest." She said, chewing the last bite of the bagel. "Markus. He's the nicest of the bunch. He's musical, but he can flip out like the rest. He forbade me to touch his violin. I don't mind, he's teaching me to play the piano." She smiled. "It was a very pretty violin."
She took another bite. "Alyekzander. A quiet guy, but we'll win him over. Great cook."
She paused, then sighed. "We'll skip over Dom for now. I'll tell you about him after Maksim and his brother. I haven't met Maksim yet. Although I just saw him down at the kitchen. He seems nice."
"Um.. who's next... oh yeah! Niklos. He seems like a good kid. He's going to bive me a tour later." She grinned, then her grin faded.
"Dom. Dom. Dom." She shook her head. "We had a fight last night. He doesn't like me, I don't like him. The End. Okay, tour footage."
She shut off the camera and edited it. She posted it and got up.

She randomly started opening doors, hoping for something, maybe a smell, to lead her in the right direction. "No... no... not this one, either... AH-HA!" A light, butter scent drifted towards her from the left. She smiled and walked in that direction, humming a random tune. Noise... good, this really was the way, she mused when the kitchen door opened and a servant - Adrienne stared, still not used to servants - exited the room, sending a polite smile Adrienne's way. The teenager opened the door and went inside; "Holeeeeee." She breathed. Everything in this house is huge. She caught sight of Naomi, Markus, and Domanik, and smiled. "Oh. Morning girls and guys. It-" Her eyes hit Max and the smile faded into a look of seriousness. "I need to talk to you." She told him.

{( EDIT;; Woops. Madeleine's not there anymore. Better take that out.. O= )}

Max almost choked when Adrienne's voice cut through his toast-induced feeding frenzy, and looked up just as she apparently noticed him and said the some of the least positive words a guy could ever hear from the mouth of a girl. He stared at her for another beat, then realized he was probably looking horrified and rearranged his features to be carefully neutral. "Sorry," he said breezily, "Bit busy today." With that he returned to his toast.

Adrienne sighed. "Please? I promise it'll only take a minute, and then you can get back to your toast and I won't bug you." A small smile lifted the corners of her lips. "And I promise I won't yell at you again. Really. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye, and all that jazz." Her fingers traced an invisible "X" over her heart.

Max hesitated, then put his toast down on his plate and stood. "If I don't return, inform the police who I was leaving with," he said lightly to Domanik, then walked out of the kitchen, seemly the essence of calm; in reality he felt slightly sick to his stomach. He suddenly wished he hadn't eaten that toast quite so fast. Turning to Adrienne, he raised one eyebrow. "So..."

((Since she's right next to the door, I'm just going to assume she follows him. If this isn't okay or you have something else in mind, let me know and I'll change it.))

"So." She nodded and took a deep breath before beginning. "I wanted to say that I'm sorry." She paused; Adrienne didn't apologise often. "I know that this isn't your fault and I had no right to blow up at you or take anything out on you or yell at you or... yeah, just 'cause I was in a bad mood. I had no right to take it out on you, just because you were there." She cleared her throat and shrugged, tucking her hair behind her ears. "So, I'm sorry." The words came out and ended in a quiet rush.

Max nodded. "And I'm sorry for snapping at you in response," he replied. His words had a sincere weight he wasn't sure he liked, so he changed the subject. "I actually don't think I'll finish my toast, and if you're smart you won't go in there either. Domanik's more grumpy than usual this morning." He shot her a cocky half smile and ambled off toward the West Wing to get changed into something date-worthy. Not that he had a date with Helena. He just planned on showing up.

Alyekzander woke slowly to soothing music. Enya, unless he missed his guess. No brazen klaxon for him, never. He let his 'alarm' continue to play as he slipped out of bed and headed for the shower with a yawn. It was early and it was the weekend, Alyekzander reminded himself as scalding water brought him back fully to the waking world. Surely hardly anyone would be awake yet. That was fine by him, of course, but he still knew he had to prepare for Markus' little tour set at the rather vague time of 'after breakfast'.

Alyekzander toweled off and dressed, briefly wondering again who the devil had barged into his room. Really, the one night he sleeps in his birthday suit! He hoped it at least was not one of the girls. He could do without the pointing and snickering the fairer sex tended toward.

Alyekzander tried to dismiss the thought, but it had already soured his mood. So it was with a slight frown that he made his way to the kitchen. He passed Max without as much as a word; his brother seemed in a hurry to get somewhere. Adrienne he nodded absently to as he passed. He supposed she was awake because of Markus. And so it was no surprise to see Markus in the kitchen... but Domanik? Good lord, the world had gone mad.

Covering his surprise, Alyekzander gave a nod to his brothers, whether they both noticed or not, and continued on to make his breakfast. He slipped right in among the staff without really acknowledging them, as was his routine. Markus and Adrienne were already awake, so he decided it would have to be a quick breakfast for him. He so loathed to rush when choosing food! One should court one's palette slowly, with building passion banked by the love of the chase, coy invitation and great anticipation. Not unlike women, though breakfast did not tend to bite back.

Alyekzander's hands picked and chose even as he thought these things. Quick and simple; surely he could do that. Water was set to boil as he painstakingly picked over the eggs, taking two. An English muffin was set to toast as he breezed through to acquire some hollandaise. A taste test proved it still good and Alyekzander nodded his approval as if to someone else as he added bacon to his growing pile of ingredients. Now to cook the bacon and poach the eggs, of course. Marvelous, marvelous. He had not eaten eggs Benedict in at least a matter of weeks. Markus and his tour could wait long enough for a decent breakfast, by God.

Emily breezed into the kitchen, her hair still wet from the shower, wearing a too-large Oxford T-shirt, jeans, and a distracted expression. "A grapefruit, please," she said absently. "Oh, never mind," she revised, spiriting half of a pre-cut grapefruit off the table and starting back out the door. Just before it shut behind her, almost as an afterthought, she called "Good morning!" and started back up the stairs. Her inexplicably misplaced muse had returned suddenly upon awakening; she was still forming sentences in her head, and wanted to get them down before she lost them.

Markus hardly had time to acknowledge Adrienne's arrival before she stepped outside the door, Max in tow. Okay, that was odd, he thought, but didn't remark upon it. He'd ask Max about it later. He finished his breakfast quickly, realizing that he wasn't dressed. Just about then, Alyk cam sauntering in. Mark hadn't expected his younger brother to actually accept his offer to accompany him and Adrienne, but he had, so Markus figured he could at least make things as pleasant as possible this morning. He stood, and approached his brother.

"No need to rush. I still have to shower and dress. While I'm doing that, you can eat." Then Emily made a cameo in the kitchen, leaving as quickly as she'd come. She'd seemed distracted too. Nevermind, he could puzzle the mysteries of the sisters later. He left the kitchen, and said to Adrienne. "You go ahead and get some breakfast. I have to change. I'll come back down to the kitchen when I'm ready. Oh, and I wouldn't say anything to Dom, unless you fancy an argument with your meal. Otherwise, he's harmless. Well aside from the occasional, 'I wish you would die' glare. I'm sure you'll manage. Nice t-shirt, by the way."

Dom pretty much ignored everyone until Madeline left. Except for the Death Glare he shot Max when he made the comment about him liking a girl. "I do NOT!" he muttered. He finished his coffee and Bagel in double time once she'd left. None of these people interested him. When that freaky gothic girl came for Max, a lightbulb went off in Dom's head. So that had been the one who'd yelled at him, cried, then ran away. He smirked. Obviously he wasn't the only one affected by these she-devils.

Grumbling something or the other about having an appointment, Dom rose. "Oh, Alyk. I've been meaning to tell you. Max really enjoyed your little show last night." He laughed a little as he left. Passing Adrienne, he said, "I've decided. If I'm Sunshine, you're a little black raincloud. I'll call you LBR for short. And Markus, it's no good flirting with her. Max likes her." Then he made his way to the garage, and got in his Mustang, but he didn't drive away. Although the havoc he'd probably wreaked made him feel better, he still couldn't get Madeline out of his head. "I hate her," he said to the steering wheel.

She enjoyed the silly little thrill that ran up her spine at the thought of Max liking her, but only for a moment before she quashed it. He wasn't the enemy anymore, at least for the time being, but nor was he on her list of people she'd eat meat for. Adrienne focused on other things. "LBR? Sweet." Domanik was proving to have some pretty okay come-backs. It would be fun to see what she could provoke out of him.

"Okay, thanks." She said absently to Markus, already eyeing the food. It smelled fantastic, and it looked even better, making her mouth water. Adrienne plopped down in a vacant seat, and almost immediately a plate was in front of her; she looked at it with interest before deviding the meal into two parts; animal on the left, everything else on the right.

Madeline looked at the clock. She quickly changed into a Munchkin t-shirt (with a troll hugging the munchkin on it) and a pair of jeans. Slipping into her comfy sneakers she went out to the garage. She ignored Dom as she gaped at the cars. She quickly tried to find her car in the garage. Then groaned. It wasn't HERE? She stamped her foot childishly. Damnit! Now she had to ask for the damn keys to one of these damn cars that probably had all those damn features that she wouldn't figure out in time. She wanted her Honda! She stamped her foot again.

"What's the matter, princess? Can't find that hunk of garbage you called a car? Sorry, It was supposed to be a surprise from daddy, but the old man got you a new one. Can't let people think we've started taking in paupers, even if we have." He put on his nastiest smile, as he got out of his car and walked over to her. "I tell you what, I'll take you anywhere you want to go, if you'll do something for me." His smile turned sarcastically sweet for a moment. "I want you to..." He pretended to think for a moment. "Oh, yes, I want you to star in one of my films. It's about a rich man who becomes ensnared by the wiles of a she-devil, and marries her, eventually bringing about his own ruin. You'd make a charming she-devil. Wouldn't require you to act at all."

He pointed to Markus's Porsche, and tossed her the keys he'd snagged from his eldest brother's room this morning. "The yellow Porsche is for you. Now, get out of my sight," he sneered, returning to his own vehicle.
