Seraphis glanced from Rob to Silver and then back to Rob. It seemed to him that Rob was about to let some sensitive information slip. What did he mean by 'when your were the size of a ten-year-old'? Had Silver hit her growth late? He glanced back at the half-elven woman. She wore discomfort plain as day on her face. It didn't make any sense. A late growth was nothing to be ashamed of. Seraphis immediately ruled it out as a possibility. Now he was intensely curious. What was Silver hiding? Still, he knew better than to ask. He trusted that Silver would tell when she was ready. The issue was still hanging, however, and it was making Silver uncomfortable. Seraphis was about to intervene on Silver's behalf when Leon stepped forward.
Leon had summed up what Seraphis was about to say... Although, Seraphis was going to be a little more diplomatic about it... It was all the same to him, though. Even better this way. Now he didn't have to risk breaking conduct and risk looking like a fool in front of Silver's friend. Wait... What a strange notion. Why did Seraphis care what the man thought? He shook his head, clearing it of the silly thought and stepped forward to stand by his ibixian friend.
"Agreed," he said, "Shall we be off?"

"Son of a-" A hand was quickly clamped on his mouth as he bit off the rest of the curse. What about all that s**t on "respecting the injured" and whatnot?
He was tough, he could handle the cold! Plus he kinda wanted to see the ending of this Elf Drama. It was getting interesting!
A particularly cold draft blew past, making him shiver. ********, even nature was against him now.
"Fine!" he threw his hands up in defeat. "You win again nature! But I'll get back at you one day...I'll make the Earth warmer somehow!"
He walked forward, and with a (forced) smile added in (after the leader had finished speaking in Elvish, probably an additional request...)
"Sorry for New Guy here, he's not good at the whole "Talk to others politely" yet. But he does bring up an excellent point, its cold (he coughed and wiped his nose), we're low on supplies ( his stomach grumbled) and did I mention the cold (he shivered)?"
"Oh and uh, congrats on the kid. Now, can we kindly move along. We'll even go blindfolded if you want. Anything to get out of this weather."
The smile slid off his face moments later however, when the Leader sighed and commanded him to take a bath.
"But I threw myself into the water when you were all sleeping! And besides, I took a proper bath last December! I shouldn't have to take another one so soon!"
He sighed himself, head dropping dejectedly.
"Fine...I'll do it! But it better be at least lukewarm! I know asking for hot water is a little much, but I don't think this time cold water is going to do it...though it might be warmer than the weather right now...Soap's expensive so I won't need that I think..."
He rubbed his chin in thought.
"And uh, you guys got a blacksmith?"

Leon has admittedly surprised when Blade and Seraphis backed him up on his point. He had originally stepped forward so that he could be the rude one and be the brunt of the blame and hate, as opposed to the rest of the group as well. He was, however, glad to have support for once. That is, until the kid had stepped in.
He held a sigh of dismay as long as he could. "You should be one to talk, mister 'I don't care when the person leading us in a new area has fallen and needs help.' You little, two-bit, no-good, self-serving, piece of (something in ibixian)! Maybe we should blindfold you. Permanently! And you will take a bath with no conditions and no complaints! I'm surprised that you haven't alerted everything in a ten mile radius to your, and then indirectly our, presence here! And there is no way you are going to bathe without soap this time! I'll even let you use a spare bar that I have. Anything to get rid of that smell." Leon had exploded in a small way at the kid. His patience was still very thin, and he was still technically playing the part of the rude guy of the group, and his role was being taken by a kid that seemed to be less than half his age.

Blade shook her head at the kid's reaction. Oh, she would be sure that that water would be warm. And he was going to have soap and use it. Plenty of it. Blade would gladly spent her money to clean him up. And last December? Her eye twitched and she snorted before pulling her head back to let her scarf puff back up to its normal height. "You won't have to worry about soap...." The sentence was simple and plain, but her tone made it sound as if she were plotting to murder the younger soul. She seemed to smile evilly to herself, whatever darker thoughts she was thinking concealed behind her icy sapphire eyes.
Blade, however, couldn't stop stop herself from snorting at Leon's reaction. She had to admit that the kid had been testing her patience and she was sure that it was the same for everyone else. And, it seemed as if the Ibixian had had his share of the kid. Keeping herself in check with her own thoughts (however evil or horrible they may be) Blade patted the Ibixian's shoulder before placing her hand on his back and lightly pushing him.
"Let's get some food and rest before you decide to kill him," Blade stated, nodding in a sage-like manner. "I'd like to rest a bit before we end up running away from the authorities here for murder. Mm, a bath and beer. Beer! Maybe I'll even buy us some wine. I haven't had any in ages." Which really just translated to a few months. Blade wasn't exactly very old, although she'd been drinking alcohol since she was a child. However, she'd only been allowed to drink on special occasions and in very small amounts. Her eyes curled up in an invisible smile, her mind beating off the cold with the promise of a being clean and being able to get decent food and beer in her belly. "Remember that you're going to be my drinking partner." She was going to keep him to that, although with that flask he carried around she doubted that it was going to take much convincing. "And it's just not as fun to do when we're sitting with bars between us. And I bet that the ground is ******** cold...." Odd. Usually she wasn't the one trying to stop arguments. "Beer..." at this rate she'd end up being an alchoholic. Whoo-hoo!
Then, a thought suddenly peeked itself into her mind. Blade's eyes opened, suddenly lit up by her realization. There was an important question that seriously needed to be asked. " I can't believe that I forgot to ask. We came here because we were looking for the wind spawn and heard rumors that it was in this area. Is it still here?" The wind spawn's existence here was even more important than a bath, and possibly even beer.

Rob quirked a brow. "Friends... Right... Anyway, there actually isn't a blacksmith right now, the last one left with the merchant trains in the spring. Unless you can bribe Silver, though, but she's expensive." The female half-elf rolled her eyes as she continued walking, ignoring his teasing. He shrugged and added, "Then again, maybe she wouldn't no matter what you pay. There's a festival tonight in celebration of the head of the guard's birthday, so there will be plenty of food to go around, and I'm sure Silver's pantry is fully stocked... Speaking of, you do still have your key, right? Or do I need to go fetch the spare from Rose?"
"You're the airhead who loses things, not me," she reminded him. He opened his mouth to retort, but was cut off by the trees clearing to reveal the village of Falcon's Ridge.
Not a large settlement, it was fairly evenly divided. The namesake cliff was to the north, the last checkpoint of the road to the south. At the eastern edge was the guards' training grounds, stables, and barracks for the single men, and to the most western was the cemetery and the houses of many of the families. Directly in the middle was the council's meeting hall, and stretched between it and the road entrance was the marketplace, with an inn and public stable bordering it. North of the meeting hall were ten more elaborate buildings, one of which was obviously a temple, and an obviously more private stable. Scattered across the grounds were many wells, though the lids were on to keep the surface water from freezing. Currently, many of the resident elves were scurrying in the marketplace, setting up decorations and tables, though leaving a large space open in the middle for dancing.
Rob sighed and saluted in good-bye, "I have to go check in with Rose. She'll be by your house to check on you all in a few minutes, I'm sure." With that, he hurried off at a steady run for the most northeastern of the ten houses, the temple resting between it and the most northwestern with the stable cutting them apart from the others. Silver waved good-bye as well, then lead the group as quickly as she could to that northwestern house. An elegant building with the lower floor made of stone and the upper floor and attic made of wood, the door and window frames were of high-quality timber, with thick glass in the windows and wrought iron fastenings. Reaching into her pack, Silver dug out the matching key and, tugging on the door's handle so it wouldn't stick, she inserted it and unlocked her family's home for centuries.
Walking inside, she saw little had changed. Immediately, she hung up her cloak on the hooks by the door and looked around. The stone walls had been panneled in wood then white-washed, lightening the space along with the honey-tone stained floors. Heavy red curtains were parted to let in the light, white sheers kept over the windows for privacy. The front room was simple, with a rug in front of the fireplace and two sofas covered in well-worn brown leather strategically placed around them. A fire currently roared behind the iron grate, thanks to Rose. A red-violet blanket was drapped over one sofa, matching the pillows on the leather. There wasn't a speck of dust in sight, and Silver could smell the mint and daisy scent of Rose's cleaning solution. Through an doorless doorway was the kitchen and dining area, and through a closed door was the old-fashioned room for bathing, with a cast iron stove for warming water to fill the tub. A gorgeous staircase obviously led up to the next floor, the steps and handrails stained to match the floors.
She slowly walked through the living space and paused at the kitchen's doorway, her hands running over the growth chart carved there. The image was of the very mountain Falcon's Ridge was located on, and there were seven generations of her family carved into it. The freshest were Silver's initals. A painful reminder of how small she once was, with the last mark being barely at four foot eight. "There should be water in the kitchen for cooking and drinking, but I don't think the bathing room's buckets will be filled," she whispered for those who wanted to bathe. "The nearest well is just south of here, we passed it just a little while ago. The stove won't be lit either, unless Rose is really thorough..." Amazingly enough, she sounded more sorrowful here than she had on the road.

(Heh heh...)
The tips of his lips twitched. Seconds later a small chuckle escaped his lips, before he burst out in laughter. He doubled over, gripping his stomach as he laughed, tears threatening to fall out of his eyes as he continued.
"Oh stop," he said when he finished laughing, wiping at his eyes, an amused look still on his face. "You're embarrassing me. No, no by all means continue, its not everyday I get complimented like this."
"What? Did you honestly believe your little pissy burst there was going to make me stop how I've been acting? Hell, I'm going to continue acting like this if it'll get you to react like this."
He giggled, clamping his hand over his mouth to stop breaking out into full laughter again.
"Fine, fine, waste your money on soap and hot water. I do like pretending I'm a normal person who can afford normal stuff every once and a while."
He tilted his head, amused. "What, am I aggravated you? Go on then, hit me, beat the crap out of this young child then. Don't worry, if the authorities ask I'll say you were in a mad drunken rage. Go on, everyone can have a turn! Go for the front though, I need some scars there."
He lifted up his shirt, revealing whip marks and numerous cuts on his back. "Yeah, the authority figures can be harsh bastards sometime..." he said, prodding his back.
He dropped his shirt back down and saw that the elves were leaving.
"Oh we're leaving? Shoot, guess I'll have to wait until evening where you can attempt to drown me in the bath or slit my throat at night. Shame. I do love a good beating."
Despite the amused look on his face, there was a brief look of sadness, which disappeared just as quickly as it came as he talked. The boy shrugged and walked off, following 2 Swords to her house, whistling an odd tune.
The house...in a word was awesome. He looked up at it, a wide-eyed look on his face.
"Holy s**t, so this is what a house is like! Its as comfortable looking as they say it is!"
He gave 2 Swords an odd look at the sad voice she used. "Hey, you okay there, you sound really sad for some reason"
He blinked curiously at her as the others arrived.
(Really, I do love annoying people. Trust me, its all part of the RP. I am of course doing this intentionally, with good reason. The character has had no real fatherly figure to keep him in line for his life, I think I mentioned that somewhere to someone...)

Seraphis slightly nodded in approval of Blade's inquiry about the Wind Spawn. That was, really the most pressing issue. Hell, it was the reason they had come all this way! He had really been trying not to think of the encounter that was to come and had been doing a good job of it so far. But it was an issue that needed to be addressed and soon. That's why Seraphis wore a slight frown when Brown Robin seemed not to hear the question. He shrugged it off as his mind turned toward more festive thoughts. Indeed, the prospect of a celebration had piqued Seraphis' interest. He now found himself eagerly anticipating their arrival.
As the trees began to clear and Falcon's Ridge came into view, Seraphis' smile broadened. Judging from the way everyone was rushing around and the decorations being put up, this would be a grand celebration indeed! He turned his attention to the northwest as Silver unlocked the door to her childhood home. He thought it looked like a cozy place from the outside, but that opinion was completely dwarfed when he had a look at the inside. He let out a low whistle as he looked around. So this is where Silver had grown up? It was a beautiful home. His attention was drawn to Silver as she spoke. She sounded sorrowful, which was made painfully apparent by the kid who was traveling with them. What was his name, anyway? Had he ever introduced himself? Seraphis shook his head and stepped forward to stand beside Silver. The first thing he had noticed was the growth chart. He gave it no more than a brief glance before he turned his attention back to Silver.
"Your house is beautiful," Seraphis said softly, taking Silver's hand in his, "I would love to see more of it if you are willing to show me." This, however, was a farce. While he did want to see more of the house, Seraphis' true intent was to give Silver the option of going to a more private spot if she wanted to unburden herself to him.

She glanced at the kid thief, then at her and Seraphis's hands before looking at him. "Thank you," she whispered softly, then tugged his hand so he would follow her up the stairs. The second floor was broken up into three rooms with bedroom furnishings for a single occupant, with another staircase that led up to the attic. Under the staircase was a closet of linens and the like. One of the rooms was where Silver had slept as a child, the other her mother's. Rather than stay there for fear someone would go exploring as well as to avoid more memories, she continued up to the third level. Half of it was storage, including her mother's things that she still had to look through. She instead ducked into the other half, a spacious master bedroom that hadn't been occupied since her grandparents' days.
Unlike every other room in the house, this room was different. The floors were darker stained, while the walls were lightly coated so the natural wood color showed through. There was a heavy mahagony dresser against the wall closest to the door, a piece of mirror hanging over it serving as a mirror. The head board was against the opposite wall, the four poster bed also mahagony, with red sheers twined around the posts matching the bed cover. The windows were treated the same as downstairs, and there was a door that led to a spacious closet. An antique privacy screen was set up in a corner, the designs on it similar to the ones on Silver's swords.
She released Seraphis's hand and stood beside one of the windows, parting the sheers with one hand to look at the cliff outside while her other arm crossed her torso as if her stomach was upset. Instead, her heart was aching. It had been seven years since she had gone near this house, with over twenty years before that spent living with Blue Falcon instead of here. The memories tied here were painfully bright and joyous...
"It was her last good day..." she finally whispered. "The day that measurement was taken... It was all downhill after that day..." Trying not to cry, she said, "Why can't I let it go? Why do I still hang on to the hurt and the hatred with an iron grip?" Her hands clenched into fists as she tried to fight the tears. She had always refused to cry after her thirteen birthday...

Silver’s leg gave up on the half elf and the others went to help her. As Seraphis conjured up a disk to carry Silver, Doina looked at her leg. What had happened to it? Was it injured or was she just born with it that way? She leaned more to the conclusion that it was injured, seeing as it had ill effects to magic. Doina wanted to help, but that did limit to what she could do with it. She did of course have non magically methods of maybe helping Silver ease the pain of the leg when it acted up, or help her move a bit more freely with it. But that was if the other woman would allow her to. She wanted to get to know Silver and the others more, it was in her nature to be close to those she traveled with.
They continued on, silver and Serpahis seeming to make up along the way. Then there was the reunion of Silver and her friend and Doina couldn’t help but smile. It was nice to see friends come together after a long absence. And if they came across someone Silver knew that meant they were close to the village! She could get out of the cold and into the warmth. And food too, yes she hadn’t eaten when they left and she had regretted it. The only reason her stomach wasn’t growling fiercely was because the rest of her body was shivering.
Silver and her friend continued on talking, though the conversation grew more mysterious. She couldn’t make out too much, being in the back and having her hood thrown over her head. But then Leon butted in and asked if they could continue. She was so grateful for that! She didn’t want to interrupt the happy moment but…she was cold! She nodded in silent agreement as Blade and Seraphis agreed out loud. The kid said a few more rude and nonsense things which seemed to get on the last nerve of Leon. But Blade pulled him away from the kid and they went on plotting his demise.
Doina would have liked to get warm and then fill her belly of delicious food but Blade was right. Their first priority was the Wind Spawn. Though she didn’t really want to face another spawn so soon after the encounter with the Fire Spawn. She followed after the others into the village. Doina pulled down her hood to take in the sight of the village. It wasn’t constructed in the same way her village was but it still brought back memories. They were happy ones but being reminded that her village and most of the people she cared for were gone brought down her spirits and she trudged somberly after the group into Silver’s home.
The house was furnished very beautifully, the fire only helped to give the living space a warm aura and Doina sighed in relief taking her own cloak off. She set it on one of free hooks by the door.
“Um, I guess I’ll go check the stove and someone else can go to the well.”
If they wanted to bathe, or get the smelly kid bathed someone would have to go get it. She would light the fire for the stove and volunteer to heat the water up. She watched as Silver and Seraphis went upstairs before moving past the doorway and into the kitchen.

He ignored her question! Now it only made Blade want to know the answer more. She sighed, somewhat irritated, but followed after the two with no more words. Instead she sunk her head in further, pulled her hood forward, and ignored whatever it was that the kid might be saying. What the hell was his name, anyway...? At his showing of scars, however, Blade looked over, eyes twitching slightly. '' She sighed and shook her head, pity finding its way through her annoyance towards her.
Blade took in a deep breath and smiled gleefully at the sight of the town. She practically hopped for a few steps, resuming her normal walking. She, however, had to wonder where they were going. Where was an inn?
Then, they came upon a house. Blade stepped in, slowly, and then moved to the side for the others to walk in. At Silver's words her eyes widened, blinking in surprise. They were going to stay here?
"Oh! You don't have to worry about heating anything up, I've got that covered." Blade stated as she shed her cloak and scarf. She looked around before setting it down beside where Silver had set her things. It took a while of tying and untying for Blade to get most of it off. In the end she kept her warm shirt and pants on, as the house itself wasn't too warm. Blade held her hands up over her head, waves appearing between her palms. Then she lowered them, blowing into the ball of heat. The waves of heat spread out, filling the room. Now that they were out of the open Blade didn't mind using her magic a little more. With the room a little warmer Blade smiled to herself before looking for the bathroom.
"" Blade called once she had found it, seeing as the tub would fit more than one person. In her village the same sex bathed with each other, which was why she was so unbashful with asking. ""

Doina was first in the dining room, admiring the furniture there. She ran her hands over the chairs and tables as she let herself get lost in the memories of her family. When her brother trained to be a warrior and she a healer, they hadn’t always come home in time for dinner. So the night that them and their parents were all able to sit down and eat together had grown to be important. But usually it was her and her brother sitting down in the kitchen eating and trying to be as quiet as possible since they arrived home very late.
‘The soup was cold and the bread was a little hard but we still ate it.’ she thought a little sadly.
She pulled herself away from the table and into the kitchen, where the cast iron stove was. She felt the wave of warmth that Blade gave off and smiled as she crouched down and open up the door to the stove. It hadn’t been lit today but there was some wood ready for the fire in the corner and Doina went to go retrieve some. Setting the wood in there she created the small blue flame in her hands again before setting it in. She blew into the little flame and moved away quickly as it grew stronger and changed color. She shut the door of the stove and watched it for a little bit.
She turned her head away from it when she heard her name and walked in the direction she heard Blade’s voice. She stopped at the bathroom door and peeked in to look at the tub. She smiled and nodded up at Blade.
““
It was the same for Doina in her village, those of the same sex bathed together. Doina rarely had bathed alone, once she became an apprentice. And even with the Sisterhood of Itare they had all bathed together. She didn’t want to go back outside in the cold but she really did want to take a bath.

So Doina had accepted? Blade smiled and shook her head before calling out again, "" It'd probably take a few trips to get the tub filled, but as long as Doina got everything ready Blade didn't mind at all. She grabbed the buckets that were for the tub and set out, using her memory of what Silver had said to find the well. Once she found it she set the buckets down and pushed the lid to the well open. Honestly, it was ******** cold. With the promise of a warm bath in mind Blade worked quickly. It took an odd number of trips back and forth to get the tub full. In the end her arms were a little sore, mostly from the cold. Her swords weren't exactly light, so despite being female Blade had a good amount of upper body strength. Blade walked into the bathroom, pushing the door shut with her body and then walking over to the tub. She set both of the buckets down with a small huff before picking them up individually and dumping their contents into the tub. There, it was full enough. Blade rubbed her arms before closing any windows or doors. Blade was going to give the men the benefit of the doubt that they weren't go to be peeping toms, so she was merely going to close and lock any openings to be sure that they didn't get the chance to have the bad accident of coming in on them.
"" Blade declared, rubbing her shoulder before turning to look over at Doina. She'd have to wash some of her clothes, too, but she would save that for the next day. Right now she just wanted to take a bath and relax. And get something to eat. But for now, hygiene was coming first.
Blade picked up a towel, undressed, and then wrapped it around herself. She had no idea how it happened in the middle of a snowland but somehow she always managed to get herself covered in a layer of dirt. She stuck a finger into the water to test out the temperature. Finding that it was a little cold, and somewhat impatient to get into the water, Blade heated the water up. "" Blade herself preferred hot bathes and with the cold she really wouldn't mind a scorching hot bath. Blade pulled her towel off and set it off to the side before stepping into the tub, sinking slowly into the water. She cringed a little at the heat before soon relaxed, her back against the side of the tub with her legs pulled up to give Doina room. As the heat sank into her muscles the tightness she hadn't known was there began to relax and she let out a happy sigh.
"can't beat a hot bath....>" Blade stated, rubbing her arms to get some of the dirt off. She reached over to grab some soap and wasted no time in applying some of it to her shoulders. She looked up at the other musician, smiling. "” Blade threw some water onto her shoulder and then took a handful of water and put it on her head. She ran her fingers through her hair to help dampen it, scratching her scalp. Her shoulder lowered as the skin underneath her hair seemed to let out a sigh itself, suddenly growing itchy. “” Blade grinned and giggled, now scrubbing her arms. ""

Doina nodded and watched as Blade went off to get the water. Doina went in search for some towels, finding them in the closet. She set them by the tub and walked back out to check on the fire in the kitchen. It was still okay and it was ready if any wanted to cook something, though she would cook for everyone once she had her bath. She walked back into the bathroom and looked at the tub, checking to make sure it was clean. It was, so Doina guessed someone had come in and cleaned the place previously, the house did have a nice scent of mint and daisies.
At Blade’s first trip back with water she went to the front to get the bag she dropped off. She looked through it till she found a ribbon to tie her hair back with. She decided to just bring her bag with her, she could atleast change her shirt. She would have to wash her clothes later today. Brining her bag into the bathroom she sat down on the edge of the bed and shifted through her bag, taking out a clean shirt. She set that off to the side. Blade came in and set the last bucket of water down. Doina got up and allowed Blade the room to set the bath up as she started to take her clothes off.
She got her corset and various scarves off by the time Blade shut all the windows and locked the door, giving them privacy. She was in the middle of taking her shirt off when Blade asked her if the water was warm enough for her. She tested it and found it just right and continued to take her clothes off. Folding her clothes she tied her hair up with the ribbon and took her towel before joining Blade in the tub.
He eyes closed and she sighed in content as the warm water started to work on her muscles. Yes, nothing did beat a hot bath.
““ she said quietly as she washed herself.
If they hadn’t been around she knew she would have be quickly killed by the Fire Spawn. She would do her best to actually be apart of the next battle with the Wind Spawn.
““
She looked at Blade a little in surprise before laughing. Blade was acting so girlish right now, a completely different personality from the one she before. She splashed some water on her face and pulled on the ribbon to release her hair. She poured some water into her own hair, scrubbing at it. It was probably so filthy.
““
She was getting excited. The sadness she started to feel was being pushed aside. It had been awhile since she was able to just shop. The budget of her sisterhood didn’t allow too much shopping for things they didn’t need.
““
If she could she would end up buying something and add it to the collect of trinkets.

Seraphis gazed at Silver as she looked out the window, admiring the way the afternoon sun outlined her features and shone in her hair turning it an almost golden color. She was on the verge of tears, but it did nothing to diminish her beauty. At the asked question, he cast his gaze to the floor. The way she described her problem... It sounded so much like himself it almost frightened him. His way of dealing with the past was toxic and self-destructive and he knew it. But he couldn’t help it. Still, she was about to confide in him and he needed to deliver a response.
“I’m probably the last person who could tell you how to let go of the past,” Seraphis said softly, approaching Silver from behind, “I have a score of demons of my own that I haven’t been able to banish for the last seven years. Gods know that I’ve tried.” He remembered his talk with Leon. The ibixian’s words of healing rang in his head. He walked around to stand beside Silver and looked deeply into her eyes. Behind all the tough facades she put on for everyone else, he saw a girl, frightened and alone. He knew what it was like to feel so small. He reasoned that he still felt that way.
“You and I are not so different, Silver Lark,” he said, turning his gaze to the window, “We’ve both felt the pain of loss and know what it is to be choked by regret. We’ve dealt with our losses in very much the same way. Going against our true natures as living beings, we’ve cut ourselves off from all others and chose to suffer in silence. The good mage always asks why. Why are we doing this to ourselves? We certainly don’t like it. It isn’t healthy.” Seraphis paused, lowering his head and closing his eyes. He fought back the tears that formed in his eyes as memories of Burenna flooded his mind. He took a deep breath before he continued speaking.
“I will tell you why,” he said softly, “It is because we have yet to find someone who we feel truly understands our pain. Assuredly, I do understand your pain, Silver. I understand it more than I care to... You have told me of your losses, but I have not given you the full detail of my own. Not only did I lose my family and friends to Tidal, I lost my love. For all intents and purposes, I died on that day. Were I not so hell bent on vengeance, I would have probably met the same fate as your mother... My point is that I understand your pain and, in that realization, I know that you can understand mine as well. And that has done wonders for me. Just knowing that you’re near lifts me up and makes me feel like giving life another shot. On the day that we met, when I held you in my arms and looked into your eyes... Hell, every time I look into your eyes, I don’t know why, but I actually start thinking about the future! The only other time I’ve ever thought about the future in the past seven years was to consider how best to dispatch of the spawn. But, you... You help me think of life after spawn hunting. For seven years, there was never life after spawn hunting for me. It really helps me to cope, understand and accept my losses, knowing that there is a brighter tomorrow for me...” Seraphis felt that he had just put his neck on the chopping block for this woman. After unearthing so many truths about himself and discovering things that he had only barely thought about, if she spurned him now, he doubted he would ever recover from it. He had said all of this to emphasize the point that Silver was no longer alone. That there was someone else, right in front of her, that was going through the same things as she was. He wanted to give her hope. To make her feel like they could figure out how to beat this together and, finally, live their lives again! Perhaps he could help her in the same way that she helped him.
“Silver,” Seraphis said softly, “Tell me... What do you see for yourself after all of this is over? What do you want to do with yourself after we’ve dispatched all of the spawns?”

Blade smiled and laughed a little at Doina's response about the spawn fight. Oh, if only she knew. What little she had done had been more than enough. At least the girl had tried. Most people just froze up and couldn't do anything when they first saw the spawn out of sheer terror. At the mention of the celebration Blade's face lit up and she nodded. That had been what had been said, hadn't it? As Doina continued to talk Blade continued to bathe, set on getting herself totally clean.
"" Blade responded, chuckling to herself while lifting her leg up to start washing it. As she reached her toes she noted that there was something stuck between her toes that looked… odd. Her nose scrunched up in minor disgust and she immediately began to wash her feet.
A shop that sold things like jewelry, hmm? “” It had been a while since Blade had had gone shopping with someone else. It made her excited and Blade was incredibly happy that they had been able to reach town. A bath, a guaranteed shopping partner, and she was going to be sure to drag Leon off to go drinking. A good, good, good day this would be. Blade finished scrubbing soap into her hair and face and ducked underneath the water to rinse it out. She came up, running a hand through her hair and then wiping her face. “” She was done cleaning herself, but Blade had been stuck in the damn cold for too long. So, instead of getting out, Blade leaned against the tub, chin-deep in the water. It was still hot, thankfully, and Blade was hoping that she would never see a cold day in her life. She knew that this wasn’t true but hell, she could hope for it anyway even if she knew that it wasn’t true. Blade now idly scratched behind her ears, having learned about two years ago that more gunk than she thought could end up hiding there. As she dislodged whatever was there she began to speak again, a pleasant touch to her voice. “” With that said she stood up, grabbing her towel and drying herself off and little before stepping out. Once she was dried and had the towel wrapped around her torso she bent down, reaching into her shadow and shuffling through some of the things she had littered inside of it. “”
