Perrian nodded. "Next battle, Vincent, I and Luljeta will blast you will healing magic to make sure you're back into shape. I'm glad you're doing well." Perrian said. "Does anyone want anything else or should we toss the loot into the bag?"

((Hello Vincent! Welcome back! ^_^ Oh, and by the way, nice try on killing me in the god war. twisted I survived by the roll of a die.))

*Djanni nods, pleased to see Vincent listen to reason for once.*

I will also allow the use of Healing Potions outside of Combat, if you prefer. Let me know when you are ready to proceed.

((Speaking only from my point of view, but if we are to capitalize on Perrian's healing abilities it may be best for me to use the potions now instead of having Perrian focused on me for a while. Still, if our leader decides that he would rather save the potions for later, that would be all right with me.))

((It's fine with me, Vincent, for you to drink the potions now. It's your choice on what you do.))
PostPosted: Sat Apr 12, 2008 10:25 pm

((I think I'll drink them now. In my opinion (whatever that counts for) it will be better in the long run. So, MOG? I'll just say now that I've drank the potions. With that cleared up...I think we all should be ready to go.))

Vincent drinks the Elixir, removes the Demonic Sword, equips the Short Sword and Light Armor, then drinks 5 Healing Potions.

Perrian: 39/40

Djanni: 28/30
AP: 2

Vincent: 55/55
AP: 0
MP: 4

Fury: 24/25
AP: 0
MP: 3

Dancing Sword: 5/5
AP: 1
MP: 6

Lazarus: 15/15
AP: 0
MP: 1

Party Pool
AP: 4
MP: 6

Having resolved the situation as best you can, the party moves to the final undiscovered door, which opens easily at your touch. Behind it runs a long hallway, leading further into the mountain. The Hallway runs for nearly 50 yards before opening up into a large area. As you approach, you can hear the sound of much activity taking place; it would seem that the chamber beyond is filled with many creatures of unknown origin.

Dungeon Specific Special Rule: (If you are willing to use it)

Scouting ahead for Surprise attack: Successful Stealth Roll will result in a Surprise Round for the Group. Unsuccessful Stealth Roll will result in a Surprise Round for the Enemy. During Surprise round, the loser may only act defensively. When scouting you have two options:

Option A: Send single Scout; individual chosen rolls 1d6, 2 or better for successful stealth roll. Must make roll twice, once to investigate, and once to return.
Option B: Move as a Group; Leader rolls 1d6, 4 or better for successful stealth roll.

((You can take my advice for what it's worth, but if we're going to send one person it should probably be Fury, since he can resist a heck of a lot more damage than the rest of us. However, I would highly suggest that we move as a group in case of accidental discovery.))

((I agree that we should move as a group, seeing that if we move individually we have a good chance to be KOed.))

Perrian assessed the situation and went into thought. "I vote for us to scout the upcoming area. I think as a group would be best, unless anyone agrees and would rather go by themselves." Perrian said.

( Yes, but as a group, we have to roll 4,5 or 6... which is a 50%. As a single person, we only need 2 or higher, twice. Which is only a roughtly 17% chance of failure. Granted, you have to do that twice, but it still is statistically easier. >.>))

Lazarus yawned, resting agisnt the wall. What ever choice the group made, he would gladly agree with. He read over the spell once more, wondering if they would fight an army soon. That would be sweet.

"I agree with Perrian. It would be much safer." Vincent is also thinking to himself of fighting armies, but finds himself much less enthused about the odds without the demonic sword's help.

((Vote successfully counted))

((I think, given Fury's previous example with Fluffy, that an individual should go. The rest of us can be waiting in the wings to strike on a moment's notice; it's not like the individual going forward will be in any real danger, and their chances of success are greater.

Even if the individual does fail, the rest of us can step in right away with healing and support; if we go as a group, we have a 50% failure chance, which would mean we ALL get jumped, and potentially killed, all at the same time. Remember, that 'surprise round' means that the enemy gets an entire round to attack all of us.

If you want, I'll go. It doesn't bother me.))

*Djanni shakes her head*

"A single person has a greater chance of success. Even if they fail, that is only one person caught in the trap. If all of us go, and we fail, then we are all caught. Since there is some inherent danger involved, I volunteer myself to go first. My nature of my skills make me better able to survive if I should be caught."

Perrian nodded. "True, you do have a point Djanni." Perrian sighed and thought. "But, Djanni, you have lower health then some of us and don't have pounce and/or stunning blow. Those would help you stay alive, along with other stuff. If you want to go, you may go, but I think one of the other people might be best suited. Also, since you're the person who can cause the highest special damage, if we need special damage to be caused we'd be at a disadvantage if we lost you. Does anyone want to go themselves, if we agree to change our opinions, or should we let Djanni go?"

((If we are to change our minds I think that Fury would be the best suited to the task. He can block a lot of damage, plus he can pounce and stunning blow. Plus Dancing Sword can watch his back as well.))

Fury once again steps to the foreground, knowing that his defensive capabilities have once again thrown him into the proverbial fire. "I will do it of course; as Vincent has pointed out so repeatedly, I am the most likely to survive should things go wrong. If you will allow it Perrian, I will take the chance."
