OOC: Yo Cloud, re-read my post. It was that message they sent that made Pietro pass out in the first place.

OOC: Yo WO, you should read everyone's post after yours. If you look at Noko' IC post before the one I just wrote, you'll see that she's been kind enough to leave Pyro and Pietro another message.

Duncan scarfed down several pancakes before sitting down and giving his belly a good rub with a smile. He was all for camping, anything to get away from the busy city life was worth taking. He just hoped they would wait untill he was fully healed to go.

Having slept most of the trip home and pretty much all day, Duncan decided it was time to relax and enjoy some television, but Dr. McCoy had a different idea.

"Duncan, I need you to come with me, I have some theories about your powers that I want to test."

Duncan just shrugged and followed the Beast to wherever they would end up.

Kylia sat quietly eating her pancakes, confused about about what the others where talking. Vacation? Camping? She had never heard of these activities before. What where they exactly?

But her thoughts where interrupted we she heard mention of computers and hacking, her two most favorite things in the world. But her shy nature kept her from saying anything; she wanted to help but couldn't bring herself to say so. Then again maybe it would be a better idea to leave it up to Phenix's brother. Besides...

"I hope no of you mind if I excuse myself, but I have something I need to attend to. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed your meal."

Grabbing her plate and a few the other students plates who where finished eating, Kylia took them over to the sink and gave them all a quick rinse before putting them in the dishwasher, and then heading down the hall to her room.
It was just as she had left it, dark and dusty. She would have to remember to clean it later, but for now that wasn't important. Looking through her the boxes of her unpacked things she quickly found what she was looking for, a very strange looking laptop computer and several rolls of computer cords. With the laptop under her arm and the cords hung over her shoulder Kylia headed down to the hanger where her helicopter is being kept.

"Hey Danny! It's time for your system's check-up."

"Oh good, I always like being in tip-top shape." He said in a playful tone.

"I know that you silly helicopter. I'm going to check your binary code and update your sensory system while I'm at it too alright?"

"No arguments here."

Unraveling the cords Kylia begins setting up, hooking up Danny's main control panel up to the laptops, and so on until there are cords going everywhere. Sitting down on the with the various cords running along the floor and the laptop all wired and ready to go Kylia lifts her hair to one side and off the back of her neck.

“You know Danny…” Taking on a slightly sad and soft tone of voice. “I really think I am going to like living here… but… I wonder if the other students will really like me? … I mean I am a mutant… but still …I …I am still so much different than they are………Never mind… let’s continue.”

Pressing a button on metallic looking choker and removes it, revealing what looks to be several UBS ports in her neck. Grabbing the last two cords she plugs them into the back of her neck and the other ends into the laptop.

"Okay all set!" And with that she begins typing away at a speed few have ever seen.
Kylia always felt more comfortable around machines and computers, she had been around them all her life. The sights, sounds, how they functioned, their program… they where a part of who she was, to her they where more like friends, they always made her feel safe.

OOC: Yea, what Noko said about Type O. Actually...they're more of a Goth Metal band...to get techincal. But that's just me. I'm a music nut/junkie/nazi/whatever.

IC: "I'm done here. I'll go sign on and see if I can get him."

"Cool...I'll catch up with you in a bit...I've a feeling I'm going...," Jacen stopped talking as he watched Kylia pick up a few of the empty plates and place them in the dishwasher then leave. "Yea. I'm gonna clean up a bit in here, then I'll hunt ya down."

A few of the others offered to help Jacen with this, but he politely declined. Not that he didn't want the help, but he was looking forward to some time to himself. "Alright..that means for the rest of you guys that are done eating to get going." A few of the younger ones scarfed down the remnants of their meals and took off in a hurry. Anything to get away from the 'warzone'. And Jacen dutifully started to gather up the dishes to be cleaned.

He stood there at the sink, rinsing off dishes and placing them carefully onto the dishwasher rack. He had almost completely lost himself in his serene state of mind, with his only focus on the running faucet. He almost dropped a plate on the floor when he felt someone wrapping their arms around him from behind. It had to be Kim.

"Mornin' Sunshine," Jacen said, still working on the remainder of the dishes. There was only a few glasses and plates to be taken care of. He didn't hear her respond, all she did was rest her head on his back. After he had placed the last dish in the dishwasher, he closed it up before turning around and hugging Kim gently. "Is somethin wrong?"

"Not really," she replied, "I just couldn't sleep."

"I was wondering where you ducked off to," Jacen said while reaching off to his side, opening the cupboard, and grabbing an empty glass. "Care for a glass of water?" She nodded her head, which obviously gave him the go-ahead to do so. Which he did. After she had finished her drink, Jacen looked at her and saw she still looked extremely tired. Even more tired than what he probably looked. "Come on now....," Jacen said quietly, "It's back to bed with you."

"And yourself?," she retorted, feigning alertness, "It doesn't look like you've slept in a week."

"More like two weeks, hon." Jacen grinned. "But that's not a concern of mine right now. I'm just wanting to see what way I can help out my parents." After he said that, and Kim realized exactly what he had said, she stared him down.

"What do you mean, 'your parents'? I thought you said that you..."

"I know, Kim. I thought I did too, but....when Apocalypse initially drafted me into his little militia, there they were. Older, but...they were my parents." The look on Kim's face screamed for Jacen to get serious for a nanosecond. He gave her a hug for assurance. "Trust me, Kim.....it's just as weird, if not too weird for me, and I can't even begin to explain any of this. All I know is their alive still....and they can't stay on the Institute's grounds forever." Just hearing himself say that his parents were alive still made him happy. Though there was a conflict of mind with his grief over his friend's death and the relief of having his mom and dad around, he at least showed the signs of happiness. Obviously Kim must have picked up on it as well, as she leaned in and gave him a quick kiss.

"I'm gonna get a bit more sleep...."

"Alright hon," Jacen said before she walked out of the kitchen. About ten seconds after she had left, Jacen left the kitchen as well, turning the light off behind him. "I'm going to have to remember to thank Kylia for that awesome food," he thought to himself as he walked towards the comp lab.

ooc: Hey, Esper, I probably have what you do all wrong in my post, but I just wanted to mention you for some reason.

IC:

ASHESECHO: Hey, what are you doing up so early?
DCX BYTE: I could ask you the same, Phen.
ASHESECHO: Probably.
DCX BYTE: The best info is out there at this time. Nobody is watching it.
ASHESECHO: Be careful.
DCX BYTE: Again, I could say the same to you.
ASHESECHO: What? Reading my files again? You know, Xavier probably knows you do that.
DCX BYTE: Yes and probably. Not my fault some of the best materials to read are harbored at the Institute.
ASHESECHO: David, those are my friends and their own confidential files. You shouldn't be reading them.
DCX BYTE: I shouldn't do alot of things, but I do them anyway.
ASHESECHO: You can be so infuriating. You need to take one of these ethics courses here. Learn to not abuse your abilities.
DCX BYTE: You have a new techno at your school. Maybe you should make sure she doesn't abuse the system either since you feel the need to be a baby sitter.
ASHESECHO: Kylia?
DCX BYTE: Yea, she's relaying into the system somehow now although I don't think she's logged onto anything.
ASHESECHO: I don't know what she really does yet. I haven't talked to her yet.
DCX BYTE: I can show you her file.
ASHESECHO: You won't do anything of the sort.
DCX BYTE: How's the boyfriend? Get any of his other siblings kidnapped?
ASHESECHO: Are you trying to piss me off? I haven't slept in a day. I really don't need to be taken for a ride by my little brother at the moment.
DCX BYTE: Sorry. Its just fun to do that now that you're not the only household mutant.
ASHESECHO: Some fun. Anyway... I'm going to need you to do a favor for a friend this morning.
DCX BYTE: What's in it for me?
ASHESECHO: I don't tell mom and Xavier that you're hacking into the Institute's systems.
DCX BYTE: Yea, cause I'm sure mom would be overjoyed to hear about how you killed those men at the airport.
ASHESECHO: You are such an a*****e. Stop reading my files.
DCX BYTE: Nah, you're an interesting read. You, Kim, Carson and Jacen really are fascinating.
ASHESECHO: Well, be polite. Jacen is the one you're helping, and I DONT want to know what you read. You really are an a**.
DCX BYTE: Fine, I'll stop reading your s**t if you get Xavier to let me in. I am sooo tired of North Bayville High. I want to go to regular Bayville and to his school. I would love to work with Forge and McCoy.
ASHESECHO: Fine, I will.
DCX BYTE: Okay, I'll help you friend.
ASHESECHO: You would have anyway.
DCX BYTE: Yup.
ASHESECHO: Jerk.

Phenix was about ready to throw her keyboard into the moniter. Her brother made her that mad. Ever since he discovered he was a cyberpath or techno mutant he acted like he was god. In a way, he was. He had the ability to change people's lives because they were so computer reliant.

Instead she slammed down her keyboard and got up to pace the room. She put her hands behind her head and had an extremely pissed off look on her face. Jacen walked into the computer lab at the same time, "What's that all about?"

"Just reacting to an annoying kid brother," Phenix huffed, yawned and sat back down. She closed the messanger window so Jacen didn't see what David had said. The last thing she needed people to know is that their information wasn't safe at the Institute.

DCX BYTE: Can you stop calling me that?
ASHESECHO: What? a jerk? I could call you worse.
DCX BYTE: True. What do you need?
ASHESECHO: Hold on.

She looked at Jacen, "So what will it be?"

OOC: Sorry for the abrupt departure last night Noko and Ginko. My internet decided to cut off and not come back on. It's back now though.

IC: Reese moved off away from the bar with Regina in tow, through the pumping crowd and wincing when they passed the speakers. After a lot of searching, they found a set of glass doors in the back that lead out onto a patio with chairs and speakers linked to the music inside. This wasn't as bad, he thought. At least we can hear ourselves think.

He looked around for a moment, the noticed a set of stairs leading up. He pointed. "That must be it!" and moved over to the and up. He was right. this was the balcony, and though they weren't the only people up here, it was definately a lot more comfortable.

Reese moved to the rail and leaned against it, facing out, looking over his new home.

Pietro sighed as he looked at the remains of the house, then to the note, then back to the remains once more. He'd awakened about a minute or so after John, long enough that John had once again sneaked away to some other rock in which to crawl under.

With his speed, Pietro could theoretically rebuild the house in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, for all his speed, Pietro lacked one very important element in this matter. He wasn't terribly strong. There would be no way he could lift all the lumber and masonry necessary to rebuild the house, but if he resorted to a construction crew, he knew the process could take weeks, as somehow the fact that John decided to go insane would be spun into something that was his fault.

There was, in the end, only one logical choice, though even Pietro was hesitant to unleash such a menace upon the small town of Bayville. Then again, Bayville sucked, and most of the people in the town sucked, so he quickly shrugged off any feelings of guilt and pulled out his cell phone, making a few select calls.

Within minutes a collection of blurs formerly only associated with Quicksilver's speed rocketed onto the grounds, assembling in front of Pietro as if called into battle.

"Lady and Gentlemen... we've got a job ahead of us," he said with a grin, picturing what John would do when he came back to a small army of speedsters.

OOC: Yeah... so I figured the only thing worse than Pietro was about a half dozen Pietros twisted This should be fun...

ooc: aww, sorry to hear that heather. But you had other things to do, I'm sure. wow... scary. A small army of Pietros... O.o

ic:
Regina took a breath of fresher air. Even with a couple of smokers out on the balcony, it was in the wind of natural air so it was much better than inside where all the air was already breathed at least once.

"Oh this is much better... definately." she said with a content sigh. "So, you're new to this place too huh? I just met them a few weeks ago. I know how you feel... At least in being in a new place."

She took a place next to Reese to look over the city. It didn't seem particularly large or sparkly, but it was bigger than whree she was from.
