Eve was clutched on to her seat trying not to add any more to Ruth's breakfast special.

Mercav nodded in agreement, "Yes, housing gifted can sometimes be such a..." a slight smirk formed on his face, "...burden."

Nym growled. "Hold your horses. I'm not required to be nice you know. The place is locked down, so we can't take the quickest way. The lock down lasts a bit after the crisis ends."

her footsteps sounded loudly in her ears as her boots hit the pavement. She walked quickly and avoided eye contact with the people. No telling who was an agent. Inwardly she wandered and mused to herself, about Retto and Ana

Archer laughed.
"Tanks? No problem. Unless you meant thanks. You may be garbled slightly." She slowed time more, to the relief of Ruth. Ruth looked over at the 'prisoner' sitting next to her.
"Are you feeling OK? I'm sorry about all this, but you know... We can't really risk letting you go yet. You took one of us. We kind of want revenge. And his return."
Archer looked back at Ruth again. One of the cars was gaining on them.
"I'm getting worn out here. Smash the back window and do your fire thing. I'll go back to normal speed for a bit so I can save power again." Ruth nodded, leaned over, and smashed the back window with a shard of ice. The snap out of slow-time was quick, but she still managed to keep her balance. Drawing the heat from the engine exhaust, she aimed her eyes at the oncoming car and began to concentrate on the oil tank. She signalled to Archer again and they flew into slowtime, just as the cop car exploded in a halo of crackling flames.

Dakr gave a momentary grin. "And what fun would that be?" His eyes glowed, before Elwood blinked him back under control. "And I'm pretty sure that wall up ahead isn't too happy to see us."
Miko sat, emotionless, watching as the car sped closer and closer to the abuttment. He could sense the tanks to their right ready their guns as the car behind them exploded. Tell me, Eve. He shifted his black stare to her. Where can we find our friend? If you can tell us, I can promise that neither Archer nor Dark will do you any harm.

Desruc said cheerily.
"Now, if you don't mind..."
He quickly saved his work and turned the computer off.
"I'm going to sleep."
Getting up, he bowed quickly and went to his bedroom. Quickly changing, he set his alarm and crawled into his bed.

Nym lead Retto though the labyrinth that HQ had become. "Now you try to be more careful. I'll make sure Omni learns that you are untouchable. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." With that she retreated back into the building.

With that Retto was out of sight.He took a dead run out of the HQ he was trying to get back to where he had dpassed out maybe Ana was there.
