I lapped some blood off my paw and looked up at Mave with big glowing reen eyes, I walked over and layed down at her feet, my tongue rolling out of my mouth. I panted lightly and waited for nothing impaticular.

my ear perked at the sound of leaving and as i got up i stood before them on two legs, "Am I invited?" I asked, straightning my shirt and stretching my back.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I snapped, trudging down the stairs. Somehow, chasing some malevolent entity was putting me in a bad mood. I wonder why....
Red and blue lights strobed the darkness as we left the apartment building, and I hurried into the shadows. One menacing beasty was enough for one night; I didn't need Sans on my a**, too.
Too late. He was leaning against the outside of the ********," I swore. "Look, I don't need your s**t tonight, Sanz."
"Relax, Morone," Sanz smirked. "I realize there's a murder up there, and I realize you were there. Don't worry; I don't consider any of your posse a suspect. When I'm done up there, Morone, we're gonna have a little chat."
Before I could respond, he was up the stairs to the murder scene.
Great. Just what I needed tonight. The thought of abandoning the scene before Sanz could come back crossed my mind, but no. It was only fair to see what he wanted.

I gave a start as a voice sounded behind me, only to see it was the dog-girl.
"Yeah, rude, I'm Lukas," I said, giving her a slightly dirty look. I may have my a*****e moments, but it didn't mean I appreciated getting an attitutude from people.
Yeah, yeah. I'm a hypocrite. I know.

"No, you're fine," I said, trying to restrain the harsh tone in my voice. "Where'd the cat come from? I didn't see it before." More importantly, I wondered, why is a cat hanging around a lycanthrope? Sketchy...

"And why would a cat be affected by your blood lust?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. Might as well make small talk while I waited for Sanz.

Daniel just looked at every one as they left, nodded to Sanz, and walked out. Sanz may not have liked the Watchers, but he knew that Daniel would never go outside the law or his 'special' rights. He still turned his head with a bit of contempt. Daniel walked out in time to hear about the 'life mate', laughed and said, "Honestly, it's such a simple concept that the Chinese figured it out millennia ago. Yin and Yang. Opposing but balancing forces." He took another sip. "And I wouldn't worry about Sanz terribly much; we need to go. Get the car, we're headed to the Hive."

Daniel grinned and said, "The Hive is a wonderful place, where everyone knows everyone else. Its the hub of the insect community, namely the Formians. Ant-people. I figure that we could get a lead on a spider from them. Then there's another place to try if that doesn't work. But you find out more in your own time." Another sip. "Anyways, Sanz knows me and he knows that I wouldn't let any of you do this and get away with it if I were there." Swig. "Which I was. So we can pretty much leave and follow up on our own business. Now go get the car, Lukas. I'm running out of booze."
