"You're seriously thinking about leaving?" Zarina demanded leaping from her tree perch. She grew stronger every moment the sun sank lower in the sky.

Mirage glanced at her sister then at the very back of the cave. Mother didn't seem like she wanted them to begin with...or maybe that was Mirage's intake.
"Mother didn't seem to want us anyway..." she muttered softly...

"Fine..." Zarina said darkly slinking back towards the cave. "Then go."

Scarlet looked back and forth between her siblings and the newcomers and was torn between them. She decided that maybe it was better to stay instead of leaving - who knew what would become of her sisters and brother. Her brother especially. Without her around, he might get too lonely; he was sad enough as it was.

"Come on," Delilah offered an encouraging smile to the little girl. "We don't want to be here to much later. You'll be safe with us."

Zarina smirked at her earth bound sister, "I knew you would never leave."

Scarlet ran over to her sisters and stayed with them.
Meridian pulled Delilah away. "Lets go. We can come back for them later."

Delilah bit on her lower lip. She hated the idea of leave the children here. What if Sangula came?

"Well, what do you propose we do then? I'm all for getting out of here, but you seem to have a soft spot for children."

"I just don't want to see anyone get hurt," Delilah said still hesitating. "Do you think they'll be alright?"

The last threads of light were beginning to fade from the sky, and though Delilah was still unsure about leaving the babes, she knew they could not stay there in the dark. "Alright..."

Meridian was quite content at having left the creepy children, but he couldn’t stop thinking about them for some reason. It bothered him. He approached Delilah about it. He was getting more and more comfortable around her as time passed. "Maybe we should go get those kids in the morning. You're right they shouldn't be out there."
As darkness approached, Scarlet felt like she made the wrong choice. It was the first time she had met outsiders and they seemed full of so many promises of the outside world. She turned back to her siblings who were looking awake and energetic. Maybe she could trick to travel during the night to the other place. The idea merited some thought.
