i play the viola its defiantly a good choice because of its rich sound and as a player i get to play parts of songs with the violins and cellos/bass. i would reccomend it to anyone thinking about trying an instrument

I play... bass. Not a double bass or anything, electric. And guitar, which I played in a jazz band for a bit. But I gotta say, My head would explode form the sound of five string double bass. My head already is exploding from my five string electric. DO IT! pleas buy it and then play some sexy jazz on it for me XD

Maggie854 I Just Started Playing the Violin. Any Advice? On Anything! biggrin Definitely practice like your life depends on it! And also have fun with it especially when you have to play songs you don't like otherwise it becomes like a chore. I've been playing for about 7 years and I love it! Also, always bring extra strings, and extra extra strings. Once I gave away a whole set of strings and then broke two of mine -_-''
