He could see it, inside of her mind. It was scary by all means, but great. A constant whirring of thoughts and images, flying by at unthought of speeds. Some were beautiful, creations of Nini herself, others terrible and hellish. He could feel her past, being orpaned, nearly dying once more to Tuskan Raiders, living in the sand and gently losing sanity... and her reasoning for her hatred of Jedi. It was a combination of jealousy, envy, and utter hatred. Then there was one thought in the very back, an image kept tightly held down- her lonliness, '...can't admit it... not afraid... scared... alone... again...' Then suddenly the link was severed and Nini lied half concious on the floor across the ship, panting hard and crying, "Nnnhhaaaa..... mother... owww...." Her eyes rolled for a second then locked once more on Aryx. She rose, very wobbily and unsurely, and approached him, "You... had something for me...?" And as he looked into her eyes he could see something scary yet familiar... himself.

He stared...long and hard. What had just happened, what was all of that? He now knew almost every thign about her. Her past, her reasons for th eloathign of the jedi. And...underneath it all...lonliness. He saw creations, beautiful ones, as well as horrific. And he saw that inside the hardned exterior of Nini...was just a girl. He now knew why she acted the way she did...but the question is...how did it happen.

He was brought out of his daze. "Huh? Yes...this." He held out the saber to it. Looking at it, it seeme dliek an insignifacent tool. He did not know why but suddenly such things mattered little to him. Perhaps that exactly how he was supposed to feel now.

She looked at it. To her it was a symbol of hate... but she knew it meant something to Aryx, so she continued to look at it, making some meaning and worth to it. She gently took it and studied it, narrowing her eyes as she scrutinized it deeply, "You made this..?" She lifted it to her nose and sniffed it, then licked it lightly.

"I refuse to touch a saber that I did not make my self unless I need to. Yes. I made that one. I poored my self into it, like all my other. Anger, hatred, sorrow, even the shread os happiness and joy i have left go into the creation of my sabers." He looked at it with her. Watched as she brought it to her nose. Watched as she licked it. She seemed less strange now for some reason, as if he now understood why she did things the way she did, aside fomr being insane.

She actually seemed to appreciate the gift of sorts as she looked at it. She looked at her shorts a moment, then slid the saber into a beltloop where it hung at her side. She once again returned her attention to Aryx, "Were we going somewhere, or did ya just wanna sit around on the ship cause if you do that's cool with me cause I used to do things like that all the time but then again that was considered stowing away which I think is illegal but I don't really care cause..." She continued to babble on incessantly.

Volt couldn't help but chuckle at Luke's response to his question. He left the office imediately after Luke did and searched for his new apprentice. "Eh... Where'd that giant red thing go?" he asked himself as he kept searching.

Tazk had left the training area, ending his meditation when he felt his new master moving away from the dark lord.

He met him in the hallways of the large star destroy and he bowed his head. "Master, is it time for my training to start?"

He sighed, her words wer enothign more then fading whispers to him as he retreate dinto his mind and bathed in his own thoughts. He slumped down ito the pilots chair, his hand over his face cast down. These emotions, what he saw, he was peacing it toghether as best he could but was ultimetly coming up with nothing. He looked up at Nini, her lips moved but no word emited form he rmouth. He watched as she moved about the ship rambling on about what ever it was she was saying. He focused on her, squinting, as though it would give him some further understanding of her. And then it dawned on him. He sat back, and astonished look on his face. "You do not even understand your self...do you? Trully and with out a jest, you do not understand yourself..."

Her voice stopped suddenly, a rush of anger flooded her but she didn't act upon it, "...it is not so much that I don't understand... it's that I came to understand so well that it broke me. Try understanding the position of the stars or why we're all born. Where did everything come from? If you could, you'd break too. A mind is a gentle glass that we fill but a glass can only hold so much. When broken you are left with millions of sharp, but beautiful, oh so beautiful diamondlike, shards." As she spoke the truth glimmered deeply in her eyes, a truth so maddening that to know would destroy, "The understanding is still there, but no longer contained in the glass, and the glass is broken. It breaks your mind but you get it, understand? So I understand myself as I understand the stars and our origins..." The corners of her mouth turned up ever so slightly and she sat against a wall.

he slumped further down in his chair. She couldn't be right. Knowledge such as that was impossible and too complex to know, she was lying. But...part if him knew she was telling the truth. A part of him that had either lain dorment, or only come into existent recently. He had glimpsed at her mind, a collosal wherlign wind of truths that would madden even the most intelegent beings in existence.

He looked up at her from his slumping position on the floor. He suddenly felt a surge of seethign anger. He was off his feet, both hands aroudn her neck and squeesing, liftign her toes off the floor before even he knew what was happening. Suddenly his expresion changed, he looked firghtened. He dropped her and backed away, looking down at his black gloved hands. "Nini..."

Her hand went to her throat and she gently rubbed at it, coughing a bit. Her eyes travelled up to his and she knew that he couldn't understand yet, "You see, you can understand it, you CAN. You only think you can't comprehend such things, and in a sense you're right. You're mind as it is now is in tact, one piece, a whole glass. To understand it, you must let it break, let it shatter to a million painful shards so that your mind has space to take in the truth, the unknown." She layed her head back and sighed deeply. "You'll understand one day. But you have to be strong enough to take it. Not to just scream as the bits of glass splinter into your mind. You have to roll with it, let it happen, make it part of you or else it will kill you. Or at least make you cooky...speaking of which... why'd you choke me...?" She grinned faintly.

He slumped to his knees. This is what shame felt like. Shame and frustration. As hard as he dried he could not wrap his mind arount what it is that now, not only buzzed, but howeled inside his head. He just could not understand. These images in his head flashed back and forth, nothign more then haz and smoke. The moment he tried to concentrate on them they vanished. "Its not fair..."

He stood up, dustign himself off. He straightened out his hiroka and pulle his robe back over his shoulders, his face still at the ground. He balled his fists as he finished cleaning himself off. "Its not fair...what you gave me...I...can catch glimpses, but nothign more. Every time I reach for it I feel as though my mind bends ad twists...thretening to snap right in half."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 8:03 pm

She rose to her feet and approached him. She wrapped one of her hands around his quivering fist and looked him in the eyes, "I showed you as much as you can hold. You say it feels as though your mind will break in half? It will, it will shatter, but that's how you get it. If you're a logical person, someone who needs order and sophistication to function, then don't even try. The benefits are few and the risks are high." Her eyes flickered with the seriousness that she rarely showed. She was serious, the chaos in hermind was not something to be toyed with. It cannot be unlearned. It is impossible to make a glass out of a billion shards, a broken mind is a broken mind.

he shivered as he looked into her eyes. Those eyes..."Those eyes..." They always contained a gleam of unrestrained chaos. He looked deep into them. He wondered how such a person can still remain...so sane. But Nini was not sane, not by the slightest. She was...not insane either. She was beyond it. The room around him melted away as he felt the blood form his face drain and his skin grow cold and sensative to the slightest pass of air from her moth and nose. Truth. Ultimate, unsaturated, unadulturated truth.

"Are we trully meant to know such a thing...?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 8:17 pm

She felt it too, felt his mind bending and slowly warping as he wrapped his thoughts around the unknowable. She felt the familiar cold, the darkness as nothing crawled in, like a cleansing fire or a furocious tsunami, emptying the room. The madness almost painfully visible in her eyes now, everywhere, filled the emptyness and her voice echoed though her mouth didn't move, "No, we're not..." and the roar found in her mind slowly slipped into the room with them, screaming and roaring like a tornado, or a dragon. or like standing behind a large ship taking off, though her smile remained and crystalline tears rolled down her cheeks, "Point... of ... no ... return... run now... or never be the same..."

He could feel it. Tiny hair thin lines felt as though they spter webbed across the matter of his mind. Painfully shapr he fell to his hand and knees once more. His pupals dialted fully and the bare minimum of light in the cockpit became blinding. The confine sof his mind splintered, and through the cracks he could make out the images in a clearly frame. It was then as though nothing had happened. He saw it, understood it. His mind had fractured but not fully shattered. He could understand now what it was she had placed with in him, but there was no possibly way to convene what he knew by any means of comunication.
