Areli stopped on the spot, stairing at the other two. "Woah..." she muttered to herself, trying not to look too amazed by the other two lions. Wait, now what do I do? Do I help, do I attack it? But where? I don't know where to hit it... she thought, just standing there.

The beast freed a leg, lashing out and striking Elli in the side as she slid from its back. She jumped at the impact, but didn't lose her grip, roaring in pain.
Illitashia reached for the antelope's front shoulder, sinking her claws into it to hold on better. 'Where is that cub? Please don't get hurt.'

Brooke's ears perked. Though she and the other young lions had been about to start a game of hide-and-seek, the sound of an agonized roar, distant and barely audible, caught her attention. Her head turned toward the sound curiously.
'They don't get hurt hunting big game, do they?' She asked Rellick and Jadera. 'I don't have much experience with big game, except I watched my mother hunt a wildebeast once. It didn't seem much different than what I do with meerkats and other small stuff like that, but then, it could have just been me or my mom.'
Brooke squinted at the distance, trying to catch sight of whatever had made the roar. It was a lion, sure, but who was it? She shifted her weight nervously from one paw to another. Nobody had ever told her whether or not a lion could die from hard impact of a large beast's hooves, but she felt instinctively, that if something went wrong, there was that chance.

Both cubs froze at the sound of their mother's roar. They chorused the same word in breathless fear. "Momma."
Jadera turned to meet Rellick's yellow eyes, and worry shone in them like her own ocean-gaze. She glanced at Brooke and smiled. "They can get scratched by the horns or kicked, even run over.. Though that hasn't happened yet.. Normally its just a bruise, and they come home fine."
"Yeah.. Mom and Illitashia hunt together all the time.. They're pros... Everyone gets kicked now and again, but they're never really hurt.. And they never lose their sport." Rellick said brightly, reassuring the cub with a sunny smile. "Ready to play?"

Areli's ears went down as she heard the loud outburst of pain from Elli. She swallowed, looking the animal over, looking for a good spot to strike. "I'll regret this..." she said softly to herself, before running forward, and pouncing up to the antelope, and grabbed onto its neck with her teeth, right at the vital point. Her aim was good, landing right on. She peirced her teeth down as hard as she could on its throat, right at the cord.

Something was nagging at her about the hunt, but Brooke decided to try and let it go. She waved her tail, her flakes fluttering slightly.
'Uh huh, who's gonna be the counter?'

Rackna's head shot up, his eyes glancing nervously toward the direction in which the hunting party had gone. The roar rang in his ears as he stood briskly, his tail twitching in anxious worry as his claws extended. He looked down at young Briseis, and smiled to her.
"Want to go find out what's going on?"
But without waiting for an answer, he picked her up and jogged off, unaware of the discomfort he may be causing the cub. His large paws quickly covered ground, and soon they were at the sight of the hunting party. Setting down the cub in a patch of soft green grass, he told her to stay put for just a few moments as he made sure it was safe. With a large forepaw, he gently ruffled the hair between her ears in a father-like manner.
Solio gently licked the top of Tay-yibah's soft purple-hued head in a motherly manner, throughly enjoying the attention. She to had heard the roar from the hunting party, but she didn't want to make the young cub uneasy. Her eyes did glaze up though, barely catching Rackna's bold red coat as he stood. 'He'll take care of it.' She reassured herself, trying to push the worry to the back of her mind.
Brazen's flakes quivered as the roar erupted through the pridelands, his tail flicking agitatedly to the side. He glanced at his younger brother and sister, then at the small cubs. All at once, he jumped foreward, smiling as brightly as he could.
"I'm the counter, now go hide fast!"
He exclaimed, almost a little too loud. He was trying to distract their attention from the terrifying prospect that something could have happened to one of the elder lionesses. Lowering his head and covering his eyes with his paws, he began to count loudly.
"One! Two! Three!"

Wategra hand slunk off from the others, watching with a look of boredom as her thin figure sat in a patch of shade.

As he carried her she giggled, pawing at the air and stretching her small ebony claws. Her big blue eyes watched as Rackna left. She sat down and rolled her eyes, flickering her tail once and then took off after him. She heard some weird call, like a dog of some sort but she ignored it. She treaded at his heels hearing that weird bark like laugh. "What is that?" she asked, she figured he didn't know she was behind him.

Brooke's head shot up. Her ears pitched forward.
'What was that...?' She was glad, for the first time, that she had trained all of her senses to as near to perfection as she could have when she had wandered by herself. And she knew what she had heard was not a figment of her own imagination. Her ears rarely told her wrong, if ever. Her eyes darted forward. 'That wasn't a lion. And I know I heard it.'

Kish'ya had been slinking around the grasses when a roar rang loud into her ears. She stopped, muscles stiff, as it sent chills throughout her body.
After the hunting party had left, she thought it would be a good idea to explore a little bit. So she had crept into the grass unnoticed, slicking around, completely hidden by the tall blades.
After the resonation of the roar had cleared her mind, she started off again, no real direction, just pouncing and slinking around, until she ended up tripping and rolling out of the grass right in front of Waterga, who she had not met yet.
Shaking small picees of grass from her fur, she looked to the adult curiously, "Hello," she stated simply, curiously watching the female relaxing in the shade.

Wategra looked at the cub with a dull expression and an uplifted brow, "Feh,"
She shook he head, "who are you?" It wasn't that she really wanted to know, but she knew she had to reply something to the little one.

She stayed planted in her spot, "My name's Kish'ya... Who are you?" She paused a moment, "You're very pretty." She wasn't used to communicating with other lions and often spoke her mind freely.

Freezing, Rackna's ears twitched backward, catching the end of the wild laughter as it washed over the cub behind him. His flakes quivered slightly, and his nose caught the sent of the danger that lurked behind them. He turned quickly, his expression a mixture of anger and worry. He quickly scooped Briseis underneath him as he searched for the possibly deadly foe.
((Is it a wild dog or a hyena?))

"What's wrong?" she asked rather frightened. She didn't know what was going on and hated the feeling of it. She thought she had seen something in the corner of her eye but she shrugged it off. Her perky azure eyes looked around for whatever Rackna was. The laughter rang out again.
