((Sorry for not posting sooner, but homework has been eating my face.))
"I already let three go off on me. They were already active though so I couldn't stop them." Roque said as he landed on the Hokage tower roof and began crawling down the side. "But these ones, well, they're evidence. I recognize the make, there from my homeland. Konoha has been on decent terms with the country of earth for a while, so I don't know why they would attack." Roque hopped in through an open window and saw Kae talking with some anbu. Roque was puzzled for a moment, but then dismissed the thought.
"Pardon me please. Can I get an explosives specialist to stop me from blowing up?" Roque said, spreading his arms to get some attention and to show off the explosive tags strapped to his torso.

Just as Yuki's cone was about to begin searching the area with Ran and batafurai, a flying kunai came toward the group. A few feet from them, the kunai firmly implanted its tip into the earth. Seeing the design of the kunai (for each village crafts their kunai with slight alterations) and knowing how fast it was before hitting the ground, the doppelganger suspected it was Isaaku. In a moment Isaaku landed in front of them, the rubble of a nearby destroyed building still rolling along behind him. Before the clone could speak, Batafurai scolded her peer.
Yuki's clone then only said, "You're here, so let's move out." The clone jumped upward onto a roof and began to hop towards Hokage Tower at a speed that while not strenuous for him, might be taxing for his genin. At that realization, he called back while still looking ahead, "It will help if you focus chakra in your feet and legs." The explosions began to slowly peter out until they had finished completely.
~~~~~~~~
Tonbo was surprisingly early as he approached one of the thicker portions of Konoha's outer wall. heh, I'm actually here before Berai. One last explosion shook an area of Konoha, and no more were to be heard. He'll be heading this way soon. We've time enough considering that Konoha is still utterly confused. The low rumbles of the voices of Konoha's civilians quietedrather quickly. They must all be in the shelters by now. A little late on their part. He stood, motionlessly and tacitly awaiting Berai's coming. Silence virtually enveloped the city as only the most sporadic of sounds could be heard across the city. Most of those noises were from small ninja teams barking orders and stumbling through the destroyed landscape. Several of the dark narrow towers stationed evenly across the wall lit their torches. Perfect. I'm exactly between two towers.
Isaaku rubbed his forehead as he ran easily beside his sensei. Batafurai poked him rather hard. He rarely used chakra to aid him in running, other than stopping. He didn't have the control to do it properly, if he tried whatever he ran on usually collapsed. He was still thinking about what Batafurai said as he ran. "Why is she so worked up? If she's a ninja she should be expecting things like this. I know I haven't been a ninja long, but I still realize that all of the villages are at war at all times, even if it doesn't look like it." He shook his head as he went to clear his head. He would need to be focused when they arrived at the towers.
When Isaaku appeared, Ran stepped back to let her team mates interact. She gave a bit of a cough before following Yuki when he led them off, being the rear of the group, even as she worked on moving faster via chakra to the feet and legs. She thought that this would be considered an odd training exercise, if it had been one. It would require someone to learn things fast, or either fall behind or possibly get hurt.
Traveling with her team, Ran thought about Batafurai's reaction to the attack on the city. She thought it to be a bit odd, but then again, she herself would've probably been thought odd if she showed no care. She was being trained to protect a village, yes, but it hadn't been her choice to become a shinobi. Her mind went to her only real possessions, still in the apartment, and the memory of how much power one had over her if someone had them, and she didn't. They would've had to've been much stronger then her, though, to use her like that and get away with it.
Shaking that away, Ran coughed and sped up a little to avoid remaining on a building wile it collapsed. She, too, cleared her head as they continued onto the Hokage tower.
((Sorry for not posting guys, didn't know exactly what to do with her XD))
"Guys! We have to move faster!" Mayumi shouted, as she pumped more chakra into each step. She was tempted to use Ashibumi, but that would probably mean leaving her team behind; Ashibumi was deemed 'almost at the speed of light' by her peers at the Village of Sand, where movement was harsh due to the ever-shifting ground. Her steps were increasing in pace, lengthening her leaps with every one that she took. Accordinsg to the intervals between each step that she or another of her team took, and the feeling of rushing wind past her skin that told her how far and fast she flew through the air, she calculated that they could be going a little bit faster right now.
"Remember, civilian safety is top priority!" She said, following through her orders. At the same time she said that, her hyper-sensitive ears picked up a scream coming from her right, followed by the sounds of a crumbling building amidst the sounds of explosions happening all over Konoha. She cursed under breath and took out her bow, whipping it out and snapping it into full size in a split-second. Mayumi spun on the ball of her feet to immediately change her direction and stop herself mid-step for a slight moment, at the same time taking an arrow from her quiver. Contorting her right hand into the half-hand seals she uses for her jutsu, Hikiwake, while holding the arrow between her mouth, she raised her blinker to her forehead, and for the first time in a long while . . . she opened her right eye . . .
Her Kekkei Genkai spun into effect immediately, zooming in on the toppling building, and the family it was falling into. It's about 70 yards, Mayumi thought, immediately letting her eye calculate the distance, angle, trajectory and wind speed. The shot itself was not simple, she had to place the arrow so that the jutsu would slice the building directly over the family, making half of it land beyond them, but because of her considerable distance, the time the arrow would take getting there, and the position of the building when that happened also had to be calculated.
With unerring smoothness, she knocked the arrow onto her bow. Keeping her Dragon Eye on her target, she released the jutsu-enhanced arrow, reassuring herself that her accuracy was 100% on the mark. The arrow did as it should, slicing the building in a clean cut directly over the family, making the smaller part of it crash farther than it should have, missing the people altogether.
Mayumi smiled and sighed a relief and put back her blinker on, but this time, only covering her right eye. She motioned for her team to keep following her, as she kept her bow out for any more of the same circumstances.
"Nice shot, Mayumi-sensei!" Shinji shouted, thoroughly impressed. It was becoming more difficult to keep up with the Jounin, but that movement allowed him to catch up a bit. The Hokage tower was finally close enough to see the texture of the outer walls.
Silently, Batafurai jumped onto a building and hopped after her team-mates. Brushing her tear away with the back of her hand, she was finding it hard to focus. She tried to shake herself out of it, but it was too hard to do. Her feelings were rattled. Realizing that she was trailing quite a bit behind, she hastened her steps. She silently sniffed and continued after her comrades.
(( I did not abandon this role play. I merely thought things through, and couldn't think up anything to do from this point on. I did have something planned, but there wouldn't be anything interesting for a while after it was done.
Nevermind that I've been having a writers block for this role play. If you guys have any ideas on how to continue this, please notify me. Otherwise, nobody takes control of my characters, please. If you just keep going on your own, I'll jump back in. ))
((Since it appears that we're discussing it here too, and that it would be easier to build off the idea here.
Would it be possible to make the attack look like some other country or ninja village and then have them go to war. Like a testing ground for the younger ninja and something worth while for the veterans. Afterward, we can think of post-war during the war. ?
Or perhaps that was the plan all along?))
((I didn't think it was boring, but it's more than necessary. I think it's just difficult to come up with ideas for that with so many variables. Really if you didn't have this section, there would be a lot of confusion. Though, from what I've seen I don't even know why I'm trying to explain this to you... You know what? Never mind... stare neutral sad ))
