(So sorry guys. My internet freaked out on me for a couple of days, but I'm back. I don't mind you NPCing me, for future reference. I'll stick with Kail's post, and just post some RP to go with it.)
As the bandit attacks him Luc's mind jumps back to the part of his life before he moved to Myir. Tears, bloodshed of innocent peasents, dragons, sacrifices, visions, and evil magic flood his mind as he tries to fight it back. The visions in his head are too much, and Luc falls to the ground screaming. Luc then curls into a ball, still aware of the bandits and hopes the bandit will see him in his state and take the opperitunity to kill him. Death would not be so bad at this point.

The Warrior hears the biting taunts from Luc, redirecting his attack out of sheer anger. He strikes hard at Luc for 7 points of damage, which rebounds from Luc's effective defense. His Smash is interrupted, thanks to the timely stunning blow from Petra. Vincent moves forward, a strange hunger in his eyes, hitting the warrior with everything he's got, dropping the Bandit. A pulse of dark energy flows into him, feeding the sword and indirectly, his wounds...
Vincent regenerates 5 points. (4 Vampiric, 1 Natural) The Demonic Sword takes it's payment. (-1 point) Petra Heals Master Morty for 10 points. Petra Regenerates 5 points.

Searching the Bodies, you find 2 Longswords and 2 Sorceror's Amulets.
Master Morty climbs down from the Wagon, slightly injured but ultimately alright. He inspects his Wagons, a worried expression on his face. Letting out a heavy sigh, he gives a wheel an kick, then turns to the Party. "Well, it could be worse, that's for sure. Once again I find myself indebted to you all. That was a bit more than I expected from these roads. But surely, that had to be the last of them, don't you think?"
You may continue when ready.

Vincent, ignoring the disturbing hunger of the sword, mutters his agreement. He heads to the wagon and sits down heavily. Bandits...there's always more of them...He thinks gloomly to himself.

Kail’igen let out his all too familiar sigh and shook his head. “Someone must be leading these bandits. They are becoming more and more organized. I feel someone is directing them and we have of yet to see this ring leader. He might start to feel the pain of his losses and let us pas the rest of the way unmolested…or he might decide to come and deal with us himself. But for now I am more interested in the state of your wagons. They took some damage in the last fight. Do you think you can repair them?” Kail looks over the scorched and burnt wagons. The sorcerers sure did a number on them. He didn’t like the idea of trying to complete the rest of the trip with them in that state.”

Master Morty ponders a moment before answering. "Well, I do believe I have the appropriate materials required within the wagons, materials that would fix these wagons up proper. But, the downside is, even though it's for a good cause, I'm afraid Djeanne isn't going to just give them to me. Minimum price for full repair is going to be 100 chips per wagon. I apologize, really I do. It's up to you what you want to do. Personally I have complete faith in you and your team, and I know you will do what you think is best."

Kail nods. This actually made sense to him. It was there job to protect the wagon and it had got damaged, so it was coming out of there pay. A bit heartless but pragmatic. Kail was more and more getting a feeling for how Djeanne mind worked. Kail hands Master Morty the two long swords that they had just liberated form the clutches of the dead bandits. "Here, together these should be worth 300 chips. Give me a hundred back and use the rest to repair the wagons."

Fatigued from the battle, but mostly from his sudden rush of memories, Luc walks over to Vincent and Petra and sits next to them. "It seems this trip was a little more then we expected. It looks like its taking a toll on all of us, even the wagons." LUX Says jokingly. HIs mind flashes back once more to the images he saw during the fight, and his eyes reflect the anguish. Luc pulls the hood of his cloak over his head and turns his eyes down reflecting on his past.

Petra feels so lightheaded she barely notices when Luc comes to sit near her. Her strong regeneration abilities mean that she is almost completely healed, but her dress was still spotted with blood. She looks up from them to the tumbled bodies of the bandits and remembers vividly the biting cuts of the swords on her body. Petra starts to shake.
"I withstood it," she whispers. All the color has drained from her face. "I'm stronger than... they... thought..." All of a sudden, Petra's eyes roll up in her head and she falls to the ground in a dead faint.

Seeing Petra fall to the ground unconscious Kail’igen quickly hands the swords off to Master Morty and runs over to her. He gets down on his knees and shakes her gently. “Petra, are you alright?” Seeing no response from her he looks over to Luc and Vincent and sees that they are too far out of it to be of much help. He then gently sweeps her up into his arms and carries her to the back of one of the wagons. He sets her on a pile of the blankets they had used for sleeping and waits. There wasn’t much more he could do. He looks over at the once joyful now reticent Luc and the heavily injured Vincent. This was not good. Moral was getting low. He began to wonder himself if they were digging themselves there own graves by continuing up this pass.

Vincent doesn't even notice Petra fainting, so taxed by his loss of blood, and more currently, the vivid rememberence of his own past. All the worthless slaughter, the innocent victims, the loss of love ones. He sees the fires, the flash of steel and the cries of the wounded men, women, and children. His flesh seems pale as a single tear rolls down his face. He jumps to his feet, eyes shut from the memories, and screams to the bandits he knows to be there.
"I WILL NEVER LOSE! I WILL MAKE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU DIE A THOUSAND DEATHS BEFORE I REST! NO BANDIT WILL LEAVE THIS PASS ALIVE OR I WILL DIE MYSELF IN THE ATTEMPT! I WILL NEVER LET MY PAST REPEAT ITSELF!! YOU WILL ALL BURN!!!"
Vincent pants from the exersion and collapses to his knees. He stares with pained eyes to the sky above. "I won't let another innocent die..." he whispers.
((Oh, how I've missed posting this last week. Sorry about this melodramatic post...had to get that out of my system. Plus it sounds awesome!))

As Vincent jumps up, and starts screaming Luc shuts his eyes in an attempt to keep from seeig more severed bodies float through his mind. Closing his eyes didn't help, so Luc looked up at Vincent as he falls to his knees. It seems Vincent and I have more in common than I thought. Luc thought to himself. b

At Vincent's outburst, Petra's eyes flutter open and search Kail's face. She sits up, head pounding, watching in horror as Vincent screams into the empty forest. "What... He's...Did I..." she stutters, confused. She is silent for a moment as she watches as Vincent falls to his knees, seemingly near defeat from some inner demons.
Her terrified eyes lock onto Kail's. "What's going on?" Her hands grip his arms hard. "Kail, what is wrong with this place? Why are we being so beleaguered?" Her eyes implore him to take charge, and lead them safely out of this nightmare.

Master Morty takes the swords from Kail, just before the mage hurries off to check on Petra. Eyes misting with emotion, he approaches the wagons, calling on Djeanne to appear. Moments later, the misty form of the Djinn coalesces, an impudent grin on her face. "Well, old man, got something for me?" A look of concern slowly crosses her face as she looks around. "What kind of nonsense is this? I thought you said this was going to be a simple little ride through the country? At this rate, your going to get everyone killed, or worse!" Master Morty begins to wring his hands, obviously upset with Djeanne's tirade. "Now just hold on a minute! I know it looks bad, but we've got a good strong team working to keep everything safe. They have even agreed to pay for the repairs to the wagons, to better our chances. So just calm down and trust me. We are going to be fine. Here, these long swords will pay for the repairs; add the remainder to the defense account." Master Morty hands over the swords, brooking no further argument. Djeanne's eyebrows raise, unused to her partner's assertiveness. Shaking her head, she bites back any further comment, taking the swords and placing them within the wagon. Searching within for a bit, she returns with two small, doll-like figures. Placing them on the ground before the wagons she says, "Smithy, Smithy, 'tis your day, Smithy Smithy, time to play!" As the final word leaves her lips, the tiny dolls jumps to their feet and look around. Spying the two damaged wagons, they gently shake their heads, pulling a small hammer out of each pocket. "Though we've seen worse, the damage is dear; We'll fix them up, no need to fear", they say in tandem, with a high, piping voice. Then in a blur of activity, they seem to swarm over the wagons, hammering madly. As they work, the damage to the Wagons quickly disappears. Minutes later, the doll smiths stop, and say "Our work is done, and none to soon; you best move on , beware the moon," before dropping lifeless to the ground.

Vincent stands after several moments time. Physically and mentally exhausted, he uses his sword to help him get up and move to the wagon bed. A simple bandit threat. That was all it was supposed to be. This is getting out of hand...and fast. Vincent looks down at his blood stained hands and mutters to himself quietly before falling asleep against the wagon's side.
