"Heh. I'd like to try her cooking sometime." he smiled as he looked over across the lounge at the hotel check in/out desk. It reminded him of something he needed to ask Anne, "Oh, I almost forgot. So have you decided if you're going to live in the hotel? Employee's don't have to pay for their room."

"Yes, I'll stay here...I was waiting on the answer to my room request at college, but it seems they are already filled out...But if every room here has a sofa like yours, I'll be more than happy to stay!" Smiling, she took a sip of the water the maid had brought "And besides, all I have this year is labs and the thesis, which I can write anywhere, so it's not absolutely necessary for me to stay at the campus."

"Alright, great! We'll get your room set up after we eat. It should be near the top floor because you're an employee. But who knows? Maybe if you REALLY get on my good side, I'll let you have a penthouse on the top floor." he grinned.

"A penthouse? Wow!" The girl looked at Elliot, surprised, and added in a mocking flirty voice "What exactly does it take to REALLY get on your good side, Mr. Goodson?" she chuckled "Or is it better that I don't ask?"

Wow, is she flirting with me? Heh...this could get interesting. he chuckled a little. "Let's just say it's best you find out on your own." he winked at her. And maybe she'll be in store for a promotion too.
The waitress arrived with their orders and set the plates down in front of them. The aroma from the plates was overwhelming. "Enjoy!" the maid said as she turned and went to more customers.
"Wow...this looks great!" Elliot exclaimed.

The girl smiled at him; he was definitly a cool guy to hang out with. And she was happy he'd taken her joke well; she had taken a risk there...but now, she was starting to pity the fact that he was her boss and they had the unbreakable wall of professionalism between them. Looking at the plates as they arrived, her mood lifted up. "Gosh, I missed this smell" Looking over at him, she smiled "You have comfy sofas and Portuguese food...I don't think I'll leave this place so soon!"

Anne laughed at his retort, and started eating as well. "Hum...it lacks some spice and herbs, but it's pretty good! I'd say 90% of my mothers', and that's something!" It really was superb, and the flavor reminded her of family dinners, of laughter and fun around a steamy pan and a bottle of wine from Alentejo.

"Ha...maybe I should start paying my chefs more." he laughed a little and took another bite. This is truely a delicious dish. What a wonderful night..And I'm sharing it with Anne!...Wait...what am I thinking? he shook his head a little.

((let's speed up the dinner a little, or we'll be stuck at it forever!))
Anne enjoyed the meal throughly. She really was hungry, and the whole ambiance around her was soft and relaxing. And she couldn't wish for better company...actually, she had to keep reminding herself that Elliot was, in fact, her boss. "Trabalho é trabalho, conhaque é conhaque", she remembered. Never mix business with pleasure. Finishing the meal, the girl passed the napkin by her lips and looked at Elliot, waiting for his feedback.

((Good thinking. I was becoming more bored by the second. xD)) "Ah..that was good." he smiled after stretching his arms out a little bit.
The waitress came back and picked up the dishes as she said, "I hope you enjoyed the food. I'll just put it on your bill, Elliot." "Thanks, Jen." he told her as he handed her a twenty dollar bill.
"Thank you!!" she grinned and took her tip, then hastily walked to the kitchen with the dishes.
"Now then...let's go take care of your room." he told Anne, offering her a hand up while she sat.

Anne was about to argue she should have payed for her part, but it was all so fast the words were caught at her throat. Taking his hand to stand up, she felt her cheeks become warm once again. "You didn't have to pay for that, you know!" She argued, but her tone was light.

"It's no big deal. I have plenty of money...and besides, I'm more than willing to pay for you and I to eat." he then noticed he was still holding her hand and then let go. "Ehh...Alright, ready to go?" he asked her as he started towards the hotel section.

"but..." She started. She didn't want him to think she was trying to abuse his kindness, or that she couldn't afford her own dinner. But he didn't wait for her remark, and she had no choice but to follow him to the front desk.

Elliot waited for her to catch up and then started walking again once she did.
When they got to the hotel's front desk, the clerk stood up from his chair and smiled, "Good evening, Mr. Goodson. What can I do for you?"
"I need an employee's room set up for Ana Marques." he told the man.
"Okay..." he said softly as he typed something into a computer. After a few moments of staring at the computer with a blank expression, he hit the enter button. Then he smiled again and handed a clipboard to Anne as he said, "Could I have you each sign the bottom please?"
