I can't see you...
Charity nodded,"Yeah, that's an upside I guess."
She sighed again and played with a strand of her pitch black hair. Curling it around her finger, she glared at the strand and let her hair fall back to her chest.
"Figures that my luck is this bad still," she mumbled to herself. "Nobody else has it this bad. No one else has to go through this crap."
...with anyone but me.

Constantine sat up and maneuvered to his feet. He walked over and held Rowan to his chest, and said,"No, you don't want them all dead. You should know that all humans aren't mean like the ones you've seen. My sister's nice, and though a lot of humans are assholes, a lot are nice and caring people."
Constantine put his head on top of Rowan's and stared at the wall behind him. "I also want to know... Why would you lie to me and say you were an elf? I don't hate fairy's you know, I find them very interesting and a lot of the one's I've seen are really quite charming and cute."
He sighed and let Rowan go, giving him a sheepish smile. "I should probably leave you alone, huh? I doubt that I'm the best person to have around. Most guys don't talk with me, for obvious reasons really."
He gave a sigh and fell back onto a nearby chair. "It's not because I'm too scary, hell no, it's because well... I take interest in guys just as much as girls."

Ariane blinked, suprised at the offer from the girl and Dante the demon's question. Silently she crept to the higher boughs of the tree closest to them and watched them.
"Is it alright with you?'' She asked the girl," Inviting what many would call a Wild Child." And to Dante the demon she asked,"Sorry I didn't quite catch your question."

Rowan felt a giant weight of darkness lifted from him. He smiled. Not feeling any better about humans, but very happy for some reason. "No, you can stay." Rowan muttered quietly, then yawned deeply. "I like you a lot."

Constantine looked at Rowan, the surprise clearly written on his features. The surprise turned into a soft, warm smile as he noticed the boy yawn.
"Well, I'm glad you like me and all, but you should get to sleep since you seem so tired. Alright? I'll be right here on the floor sleeping if you need me."
Constantine took of his jacket and tossed it on the back of the chair he recently abandoned. He walked over to Rowan and kissed his forehead lightly.
"Night Rowan," he said, smiling as he turned to go and lay on the floor.

"Of course."
She said.
"But you're going to have to decide quickly. It's going to rain pretty hard."
She told her. It wasn't particularily true. She knew her other side would be able to take over in a few minutes but didn't want them to stay in the rain.

Jessica smiled and shook her head slowly.
"No thanks."
She said. She was sure if she let her guard down, who knows how much faster the other side will take over. She was now completely soaked and grimaced at the sight of her messy cloths.
"We should be off now. I'm completely wet."
She giggled and turned in the direction of her house.

"G'night." Rowan murmured. He yawned and curled up in the bed, burying his face in his jacket and forgetting all about his hat. The faye soon drifted off into a deep sleep, felling like he hadn't slept in centuries.

"Who knows, he could be the one I don't scare away." With that, he laid on the floor and fell asleep, smiling to himself.

'Rowan, that's the stupidest idea you've ever had.' A tall older faye spoke to him with a look of pity and contempt in his clear gray eyes.
'No it's not. That's exactly why I'm going. They can't be all that bad, Alder.' Rowan snapped back.
'You want your ears torn off and put on display?' His voice was louder but more strained and tense.
'That's exactly what I'm talking about!' Rowan shouted, 'You're a superstitious fool like all the rest!' He recoiled suddenly in pain as the back of Alder's hand smacked his cheek.
'Shut up!' The other faye shouted. 'You don't know what in Gydir you're talking about!'
Blinking back tears, Rowan looked back up. 'Oh, don't I?' He smiled before simply turning away and never looking back.
'They'll skin you alive!' Alder shouted at Rowan as he walked away.
'You'll die out there, Rowan!' He heard Alder yell.
Rowan sat up with a jolt. A bead of sweat ran down his cheek and Alder's words echoed flatly in his mind. You'll die out there, Rowan......you'll die.
He looked down at Constantine on the floor. The one kind person he'd met.
But he had to leave. Shaking, Rowan put his feet on the floor and slowly stood up. He stepped quietly over Constantine and reached for the door. With tears in his eyes, he glanced back before slowly opening the door and stepping out into the hall.

Constantine moved around a bit until the uneasy feeling woke him up. He sat up and held a hand to his head.
"Rowan?" he asked the empty room. When he saw the empty bed, he looked over to the clock and saw that it was nearly two in the morning. "Rowan? Where are you?"
He got up and ran out into the living room of the apartment where his two friends slept peacefully on the couch. No Rowan.
"No... He couldn't have left! He'll die out there at night!" he said, leaving his shoes, socks and jacket as he rushed out into the city.
"Rowan!" he shouted. "Rowan! Where are you?!"

Rowan flopped down in a dingy narrow alley. He'd already tried to stay in someone's garage, but a man with a large gun chased him out. 'Stupid, stupid, stupid.' Rowan thought as he dragged his knees up to his chest and rested his forehead on them.
It was cold. Constantine was right, he needed new clothes.
