Max rushed at the scientist amazingly fast. he fired three more shots before max got to him, the first two missed but the third caught him in the left shoulder. he screamed in pain, then clawed the scientist in the face and torso multiple times, leaving very deep slash marks. "a little something to remember me by." he said to the scientist. he ran back to lolina and said "lets go. thats gonna leave some pretty nasty scars when it finally does heal, and my dad wont be very happy when he looks in the mirror. hurry up." he ran past her, his left arm hanging motionless by his side.

he picked her up with his good arm and kept running. his other arm was still bleeding pretty bad, and his fur on that arm was almost completely soaked with blood. "you cant pass out on me right now. im losing too much blood, and if you pass out, they will catch us both." the hair that was usually covering his face was blown back by the wind. it was evident why he chose to cover his face. beneath the fur on his face, there was a hideous burn scar that covered almost half of his face. it could be clearly seen through his fur. the fact that there was fur here showed this happened before he was experimented on.

"that was useful stare . so you saw my-? *sigh* you werent supposed to see that, but now i might as well show you the rest." he used his claws to cut his shirt open and take it off. it was better this way anyway, now he could use it as a bandage. but across most of his chest was the burn scar as well. his chest fur was thicker, so it concealed it better, but it was there nonetheless. "when my mom died, there wasnt anyone else to protect me when my dad was drunk and in one of his fits. he would always come home drunk and beat me. but when this happened, it was different. one day he came home sober and still beat me. i told him it was his fault mom died, and he threw grease on me. that scientist that shot me, that was him, so now i guess you could say we're even." he was quiet as he began to bandage his arm with his cut up shirt.

"dont be sorry, its not your fault. you are actually the first person i have ever spoken to about this. im Max by the way" he looked over and saw her asleep. stare "i wonder how much of that she actually heard."

Her irregular feline ears twitched as she heard coomotion outside. She only sat there, in the corner of her cage, listening intensely. She had no way fo getting out of this cage, her strength was depleated from hunger. Her huge wings wrapped around her, keeping her warm as she sat there, waiting for something to happen.

Crow shook his head with the sound of another's voice, waking him up from the daze. He looked around slowly, it was strange, he didn't recognize the place at all, and his view to the outside was partially blocked by rushing water. For a moment he wondered how he'd gotten here, but soon remembered that he should be waiting for the others. He looked at Max for a moment and pointed out past the waterfal, hoping he would understand that he had to leave for awhile.

he looked over his shoulder at lolina. "max. this is crow, he doesnt speak, but i can normally understand what he means." max had felt the stress he put on crow the last time he read his mind. he decided he wouldnt invade crow's privacy again without permission. "he says he needs to find the others, they are probably looking for you already." the last bit was directed at crow.

She was getting wquite lonely, wanting to get out of the cage finally. She would have never thought about escaping, but she was going to do that now. She went onto her knees and started clawing at the cage, trying to at least break it and be free.
