Liliana's panic was mixed with a little fear and frustration.
"No! I'm serious!
and this!
this..."
pointing to her stomach,
"I don't know what's going on with this either!"
Suddenly Liliana went dead quiet and stood eyes completely open in an almost shock.
Instantly, memories of one of her mother's stories replayed in her head.
I remember when you and your brother were just little kits, still inside your orbs,
and you two would make such a racket in there when I yelled at your father!
Liliana slowly looked up at Haruki with wide eyes and her jaw still hanging open.
She knew why her stomach was acting all funny lately.
What she wasn't sure about was how she was suppose to tell Uki.

"Maybe your a prego." Haruki laughed jokingly. It is said that in a joke lays something of the truth. Their relationship was only a month old, two max. They never talked about starting a family, heck Haruki never even thought about having babies of his own. The brown minya started to have thought of it now though.

"Heh.."
Liliana started to sweat and slowly sat down.
"That's uh... funny you should...say that.."
With a look of guilt, Liliana looked at Uki,
preparing herself for his reaction.

"What?" He asked. "You want to start a family now? We only just got together...don't you want to spend some alone time together first?" He sat up.

Lilaina looked at him.
"Oh yeah! Sure would! But I uh..."
She looked down at her stomach.
"don't think they're gonna wait."
Liliana looked back up and Haruki with a smile.
"I'm pregnant Uki..."

"Liliana this joke isn't very funny." He said in all seriousness. He looked her over, it did all fit though. The fact that she was eating more and gaining more weight only in the belly, she even had a certain glow about her, he realized now as he looked her over. It hit him like a sack of bricks. "So it's not a joke..." He spoke softly.

Liliana thought she saw a bit of disappointment fill Haruki's face,
but she wasn't sure if it was that
or he was just as shocked as she had just previously been herself.

"Right." He turned around and headed for the mouth of the den. When he reached it he turned his head over his shoulder and smiled warmly back at Liliana. "We'll be needing more bedding." And with that he paddled happily out of the den.

But she knew him better than that.
"Oh. right!

"No! You should rest or eat. I don't want the babes to starve." He yell/laughed from the sky. He flew back to the glade so he could get back to Liliana and the babies sooner."
((So I believe she is 30 days along and should be having them any time now))
Ten days later Haruki came trotting back into the den with a trout the size of his head. He put it down in front of her and asked. "Will it be enough?"

"Yes, sir!"
Liliana giggled as she walked back into the cave and lay down on the new, grassy bed.
She grabbed a handful of berries before nodding off to sleep. (( 3nodding )) "Oh my! Well I would sure hope so!"
Pointing to her tummy,
"'cause if these guys come out eating that much, anyways,
we're gonna be in a load of trouble!"
Just then, Liliana felt a huge blow inside her.
-oof-
"Oh, boy..."
She was already laying down on the bed,
'cause by now she was very immobile.
Liliana layed her head down now, though,
and prepared for the birth of their orbs.
Fear hadn't stricken Liliana since the discovery of the baybehs,
but fear struck her now.

Haruki ran to her side and nuzzled into her neck. "Lily you Ok!? Is it the babes?" Haruki was filled with fear when he saw his love go down in pain. It was the pain he saw on her face to really got him.

Liliana's world was spinning.
The best response she could give Haruki was a nod.
She closed her eyes and hoped this would pass quickly.
A few minutes later, a glossy green orb and a gray orb lay on the bedding.
Liliana sat up to look at them,
but as soon as she did,
she new it was a mistake.
There were more than two.
She lay back down and moaned a little,
both from exhaustion and from continued pain.

[Haruki nuzzled and licked her cheek when it was finely all over. "You did good...any thing I can get for you?" He asked in a low soft voice as he pushed the orbs closer to Liliana's tummy.

Liliana didn't even have the energy to lift her head up.
She smiled at Uki, though,
"Thanks babe, and.. maybe some water?
She chuckled softly,
"It's about the only thing we can't really store in here."
Liliana pulled the orbs in even closer to her,
and snuggled them.
She slowly closed her eyes to rest,
they were a family now.
