Xenon opened his eyes blearily. He immediately could tell the doctor had been by, and a there was a paper awaiting his signature lying next to him on a table. He gave an annoyed sigh as he reached for his coat which was hung on the end of the hospital bed. After putting his gray shirt and it on, he checked his watch. Damn it all. He gave an exasperated smile as he put it away. He'd have to waste today after all, even after all that the day before. Still...he now suspected he'd take the Kage's advice. It was now to late today to start training, and there was indeed things he needed to do. He'd "take the day off" today, and get a few things done.
He signed the papers with his own pen before making his way out of the hospital...and heading into town.

Second after they appear on the hospital entrance, letting the kid off his shoulder he looks down at the kid and continues speaking.
"As a ninja you will eventually have to kill more and more...is not the act of killing that is bad, is the lives you save by doing so, sure killing should always be a last resort, but by killing those men you saved an honorable grandpa and a nice grand daughter, you made their lives better and thanks to that you are worthy of living on and becoming stronger !"

Raine looked up at the older boy, he knew this was the truth, and that there was something he knew he would have to be told. The cracked skull appeared before his vision, and Raine felt like puking again, but he simply nodded. HE looked around suddenly realizing where they were, he had never been to the hospital only the clinic. "Um Aoshiro-sensei?" he squeaking speaking for the first time. "What are we doing here?" The white floors and oddly clean smell was weird and new, everyone wore white. And a receptionist looked at them oddly. The small realized he was coated with blood still, his shirt was ripped and doused in red beyond repair, and he was covered in dirt as well.

Aoshiro looks down to the boy wondering if his trauma was that severe, he wondered if he was finally out of the trance and quickly responds.
"I used my jutsu to save you and the old man, the scroll I gave you, it had some special seals that would summon me should it was needed, of course...the fact that you summoned me when I was eh...attending some private matters made me had to go find some cloths...before i could save the old man...anyways the important thing is that you are safe and you completed yer missions so for now you should allow the medics here to heal your wounds and rest, do you have any parent I should notify about your condition ?"

Raine shook his nodded, he knew he needed to toughen up. Before his master in all he couldn't be weak anymore. Raine tried acting like he usually did, but he was so exhausted he could barely even lift his arms. "Nah I could have taken them without you!..... *sigh* you know, actually thanks.....and there is my mom. She thinks I'm still in Suna though. And I don't know where she is." he sighed, while the receptionist walked up to them. A small girl with dark brown hair. dressed in a white tunic and long pants, she was wearing too much green makeup but looked very worried. "Do you need help little boy. Do you need to lay down. It's okay, you are safe now." the small boy rolled his eyes at being treated like a baby.

Aoshiro shakes his head as he thought "All little kids always think the same...oh well I wonder how many more times I need to save his a** before he understand" Turning around real quick Aoshiro leaves one final message:
"I be waiting for you in the mountains when you are finally healed and be sure to return to your mom alive !"
With those words he forms a few hand seals and disappears in the wind.

Raine watched with surprise as Aoshiro disappeared, it must have been shusin so not that impressive he guess. The receptionist grabbed his hand and walked him up to the second floor and gave him a bed next to a window overlooking the village and the rice fields in the distance. He lay down, closing his eyes and letting his weary eyes take over him. "The doctor will be here in a second." Raine didn't pay her any attention and kept staring out the window, he ached on the inside and his arm still hurt from the arrow. After a few minutes of silence he heard the door open but couldn't see anyone from behind a purple curtain. A woman came to him and frowned, he didn't look the best he had ever been.
"My name is Dr. Gray. Who are you?"
Raine didn't feel like small talk he simply sat up and looked up at her.
"Raine."
The woman smiled, pulling up a rolling seat and a metal table with instruments on them. Raine wasn't going to like this, "Well Raine, how did you get all this blood on you?" she pulled at his once white shirt, stiff with blood. It was ripped greatly, so she grabbed the scissors and cut away his shirt. Her eyes widened and Raine looked down. "Where did you get those?" On his chest huge scars that were bloated and swollen from newly healed flesh crossed over his skin, deep and wide. Raine hug his head, of course.. He felt like crying again..... his body was ruined...
"I ah... I got in a fight...." he wanted to lay back and go to sleep, even letting his eyes droop a little. The doctor simply sighed, he was so young, pulling the shirt from his body she realized all the blood on him was mostly dried. His shots were coated in it. She wet a towel and cleaned him for a few minutes while his head rocked back and forth as he drifted off. She finished though, and asked for his shorts. Raine woke more suddenly and felt embarrassed.
"Just give me your pants they are covered in blood." he frowned and pulled off his shorts sitting in his blue boxers Dr. Gray rolled her hand around his bones to see if they were broken on his chest. It tickled and Raine felt weird. After she was done though, she smiled. "That's not so bad right? Okay, you are definitely beat up, you should stay here for tonight at least." The boy fell back onto the bed, he just wanted to sleep. Crawling underneath his covers, the doctor left and he watched the sun set in the distance closing his eyes slowly.

In the morning Raine woke with a start, he had been haunted by visions of death and blood the entire night, and looked exhausted. The Sun peaking over Mt.Oto and broke though the hospital window, the small boy snuggling into his blankets, suddenly realizing they weren't his own. He turned and saw a curtain next to him, and that he was in a white room with tile ceilings and the lights had not yet been turned on. Pushing himself from the bed he looked down at his scars, Mom would never forgive him.... He frowned, this had gone on long enough. Raine needed to get out of here. His clothes were torn to bit but he still had his boxers and bloodied shorts. Sliding the stiff fabric on he looked around the room, there was someone sleeping at the other end, he didn't want to chance the doctors seeing him and slip the window open slowly. There were two floors below him, and the small boy leaned out over the window, Raine sighed. He didn't quite feel the fear he knew he would have before. Quickly he pushed his small body out the window, very painfully, he knew he was still hurt. Grabbing the edge of the window Raine hung and than jumped Down, his bare feet clipping hard against the pavement as he fell back onto his butt. His muscles had protected him enough. The small boy turned over and pushed himself up, he had to go home now...

"OW!" kimiko was waving her free arm frantically "Dr. Graaaaay! That hurts!"
Dr. gray didn't seem to notice her protests, her hands glowing with chakra "Oh hold still... lord knows you should have come to me last night when these wounds were fresh...I'm surprised your father didn't drag you here himself."
Sanako was standing in the corner of the room, crossing her arms passively. "He tried, but I agreed she could use a full nights sleep after a job well done...surely your not saying those wounds are to much for you Gray?" she agave a challenging smirk.
Dr. Gray gave Sanako a very small, very subtle grin "Not nearly." she brushed her hands off, Kimiko completely restored. "These wounds were all mostly superficial. Light cuts and one shallow stab wound. What kind of trouble did you get in Miss Kimiko?"
Kimiko was testing her arms as if to see if the wounds were really gone "Huh? Oh yeah! I took on there three Genin guys who were vandalizing the grave yard..." she looked suddenly very spooked "But I can't believe that there REALLY WERE ghosts there!! I'm so glad they came only after I left!!" she shivered slightly. Sanako just shut her eyes shaking her head. If there was one thing that scared Kimiko, it was ghosts...
Dr. Gray though seemed interested "I see...yes those boys were brought in the late night patrol... they're in the psychiatric ward...still can't talk..."
Kimiko shivered again "I hate ghosts..."
Dr. Gray seemed to be considering somthing "Say Sanako, I wonder if I might have alone, Kimiko's all set so you can leave right after."
Sanako blinked a little curious, but nodded "Kiddo, why don't you wait for me out in the lobby okay?"
Kimiko snapped out of her ghost funk and nodded with a smile "Sure mom." She headed out the door and down the hall.
Dr. Gray put her hands in the pockets of her doctors coat, her gaze even.
"What is it?" Kimiko's mother inquired plainly.
"Sanako...does your daughter know Genjutsu?"
Sanako actually laughed at the idea "Genjutsu? Are you kidding?" her voice was dull and lazy but still light hearted somehow "She'd sooner learn be able to fly."
Dr. Gray seemed pensive "I had a look at those three boys, I won't be one to raise a fuss... but while their physical wounds match the report I received....their deteriorated mental state looks more like Genjutsu work to me...rather harsh Genjutsu work..."
Sanako didn't even need to think about it "Maboroshi...I'd bet my sword on it."
Dr. Gray looked a little surprised "Xenon Maboroshi?"
"You know him?"
Dr. Gray nodded "He comes in on occasion... wounds need patching and such... but...I also suspect he's the son of the late Daisuke Maboroshi...he was a doctor in a village a few days travel from here...sadly he past away some....oh... it would have been about 5 years ago now..."
Sanako's suspicions were confirmed in this...so... it seemed very likely that Xen was... "Is that so... well...any way I don't have any proof...but-"
Dr. gray just shook her head. "I don't want any... I was just going to say whoever did that's got a nack for breaking minds... I don't know if those boys will ever come out of it..."
Sanako turned toward the door 'They better hope they don't...'

She sees a distant memory, of her as a little girl, before the rune appeared in her eye, a-and...her family, ageless to time, who began in the forests, then to the great sand dunes... A family of chakra vampires, who lived on the blood of Senju, willing victims, claiming if it would keep their own people alive...precious people of a village cradled in forests... Dropping the clip board down, Frost closed his eyes, resting them behind his moist socked. A moment later, "Byakugan," and immediatly the veins around his eyes began to bulge as his bloodline activated. 'What floor was she on again?' he asked himself as he looked up through the many floors for a familiar chakra.
Heading off once more, he headed towards the destination labled on the chart, his eyes scanning those that he passed, looking through walls as well to make sure he didn't miss her as he passed by. 'Let her be here,' Frost begged. How very fond of her he had become.
"Hana?!" he called out, his voice filled with hope as he turned into the room that had been on the chart. His eyes had already of course, seen all there was to see in the room, but it wasn't always enough, and of course, he wished to look upon her with his normal sight before confirming it was her, his Lily.

Or maybe, she did die, and this was the afterlife.
She didn't notice, or perhaps she did not care, as the nurses walked forth, wiping her forehead, and bringing breakfast...or was it lunch...? What time was it even, anymore? The girl just sat, and sat, so stilly, like a doll, simply letting them do as they pleased. Gentle fingers shifted through her locks of wavy crimson, and they brushed through the knots, from all the days she remained asleep. Her expression was blank, as if she was gazing and searching for something that was not in the room, or present here...
Hana didn't notice, when the doorknob turned, and the the door flew open. She didn't notice, even, when someone had burst into the room... But when she saw worried lavender eyes, even if now, for the moment, she could recall nothing else, her eyes filled instantly with salty tears. A river, a river in her dreams, and this person had been before it...
The nurses was perhaps shocked, when she knocked aside the woman's arm holding the brush - not a doll, not a doll, but a child who could and will run free - the days of not walking made the sudden rush of adrenaline difficult to comprehend to the system, but she managed: she approached the door, and a brush of crimson, as she hugged him, arms tightly wrapped around his neck.
Alive...alive.
That's right, she was alive.
It wasn't a dream.
Even if the name at the tip of her tongue was lost to her, as she whispered apologies, even if she remembered not where she was, why she was apologizing, or what this place was, all the wonderful truth of reality was present: alive, alive...she did not die...this person was here, and so, no dream it was.
Was it not all that mattered?
The fading river became a little more distant.

The young woman always made the normally hard, cold ninja, soft as can be. He could barely hold a frown in her precence, let alone when being held by her. All that was on his face now was a large smile, and watered eyes. "Hana," the words came softly from Frost's lips. "It doesn't matter. I forgive you, just never do that to me again," he replied in responce to her whispered apollogies, jumping to the conclusion that she had been apollogizing for not staying put.
Holding her as tight as ever, Frost didn't want to let go of her, his thumb gently caressing her back through her clothes. "What happened to you?" he abruptly asked, pulling her back from him for a moment, hand firmly holding her by her arms, yet gentle. "Are you injured? Why are you here?" he began, and amazingly stopped himself short at asking only those three questions, while his eyes quickly looked her over for any hints of a wound.

She opened her mouth.
She wanted to tell him a fantastic tale: of a people who lived under the moonlight, who never saw day: a clan of secrets forgotten to time, but she wasn't sure what had actually transpired in the last few...days...? No, too little...weeks, months? Nor, of what had been imagined, or was it imagined? It seemed real enough, like memories in themselves, so frighteningly fresh, that she would shudder to claim them imagined, yet...no no, or...were they really her own...?
But she somehow knew that wasn't what-...
Hurt?
Had she been hurt...? But she felt...safe, really. Sure, her right eye hurts, just a little bit...something that should be...was not...there. What? How she got here...? Where was here? It was too white, an unfamiliar room, with people in white... She didn't know anymore, really...she-...was...?
Answer.
Tell him something...tell him-...
"A...river. I don't..." She looked uncomfortable, but her eyes widened almost too suddenly in fright. "T-this...I...I don't know where here is..." And the person before her, his name...what...what was...his name...?
What was his name?
One of the nurses stepped up, and held forth a scroll.
"The patient Hanafubuki was holding onto this even while unconscious." She said, to Frost, and then in turn looked to the red-haired girl. "A traveling family say they saw your hia'ate was from the Sound, and brought you back to our gates."
