"Wait-" Mori said, wiping the shoe's mark off his face. He calculated his options- it was a bad habit of his. He could go with the girl, but she was kinda scary. Better than no one. "Hey, I'll go with you, It's my next class, anyway." He said, jogging up next her. He shouldered his bag, sticking the bladey-thing he'd picked up in gym into one of its pockets. He wanted to do something with it in alchemy. "My name's Mori. Yourself?"

((Huh. I guess I'll write the time between classes, then. That's convenient.))

Mr. Brown had started his class by scribbling glyphs of different species over the board. An elegant slanting form of logograms and syllabograms spread across the top of the board. Under that were blockier, more runic symbols.

Still with his eyes closed, Jake listened to the professor's beginning of the year lecture. The young man drifted in and out of his body, his spirit wandering the school grounds, all the while intently listening to the lesson.

The class droned on for a while until Jake had returned to his body. Slowly he opened his eyes and glanced down into the isle where his familiar, Anko, was lounging. So, you understand all of this?

Anko's purple tipped tail swished across Jake's fingertips, Of course I do, the question is - do you? His head lowered down onto his paws as he studied the front of the room.

"And as I have said, you need to put the adjectives after that of the nouns." The teacher's voice wasn't exactly dull, but it wasn't that full, jovial, fun-teacher talk either. "And can somebody tell me where a pronoun would go in order of the Elvish tongue?"

Mr. Brown's eyes probed the class room for hands, but none could be seen. Before he could help himself, he found a small piece of himself floating towards the front of the class going towards the teacher, as he relaxed back in his seat. Suddenly the deep voice of the teacher echoed ethereally through Jake's mind.

Anyone? Anyone? Nobody?! But it only goes before the verb unless it's not needed. Anybody? No one? Before verb though! Ah, here we go...

Jake retreated from the foreign mind into his own haven. Eyelids fluttered over deep purple-colored irises and darted to follow the professor's eyes. They fell upon a wondrous girl who seemed to be around the same age of Jake. Her redish/gold hair seemed to have a certain sheen from the lights overhead. Her face was a sort of creamy color and bore golden colored eyes. She seemed to be scribbling something down on a piece of paper.

"Miss Nakajima?"

Nakajima? Nice name Jake smirked a bit at the odd last name. She didn't stir.

"Miss Nakajima? Miss Nakajima?!"

The young woman looked up, a little taken aback now realizing the teacher had been talking to her. "Oh, uh, yes, sir?"

Jake thought that she sounded a bit unsure of herself for some reason, but before he could give any thought the teacher pressed on, "Could you please tell me, Miss Nakajima, where the pronoun is placed in modern forms of Elvish grammar?"

Unless this Ms. Nakajima had any background knowledge of those of Elvish decent and their language, she would not know the answer - because Mr. Brown had never said anything about pronouns to the class! The boy tried helplessly to expand his powers with his mind and project the answer to the girl mentally, but it didn't seem to work.

"Um, uh...Beats me--maybe you should ask Tolkien."

"Ha!" As quickly as Jake had let the little escape of his shock and amusement leave his mouth he clamped his teeth together to avoid any more sounds releasing. He stared with wonder at this girl as the rest of the class began to snicker and giggle. She's from the Human Realm?

"Miss Nakajima, see me after class." Jake almost rose from his seat in protest about the teacher's unfairness. The only thing that kept him from moving was the closure of teeth around his hand from his faithful fox.

Just stay after class with them...

Jake grunted and let his body relax and sink back into his seat. His eyelids closed over leaving him in darkness as he listened to the professor continue on about grammar rules about other languages and then about differences in aspects.

((Okay, I'm ready when you are, PromisedSword, to finish this up. I'll just lag behind, but I'll wait for your dismissal of the class post.))

Kuragari looked to her side at the human. "Kuragari," she said in a bored voice. It's not that she hates talking to people but there are other things that she'd rather do to a human that talk. Ahead of her Kuragari saw taht blond haired girl she had cursed yesterday. "How pitiful the little human girl is already showing sings of my curse." Pulling out the water bottle again she took another deep drink and looked over at Mori to see his reaction to it. 'Let's see, did that scare him off.' While looking at him Kuragari let an evil smirk play across her face and her eyes redden.

((*Hates self* Thanks for waiting, everyone. Had a bad case of the SATs--or studying for them, anyway. Rhm, yes, you should probably alter yours as well. Since most of you have classes that I already introduced in first period, I'm going to say that the curriculum is the same for every period. So, anyone in Magic, Swordplay, or Divination, please go back and use my last introduction post as a guideline. If your class hasn't been introduced, please refer to this one. Again, thanks for waiting!))

Just then, the bell rang. Each teacher wrapped up their lessons, ending with each of them saying, "You have ten minutes to get to class--don't be late." With that, students exited their classes, and began milling around in the hallways, talking or hurrying to their next subject.

Once the students in Archery had all arrived at the archery ring, the teacher, a lanky guy with horn-rimmed glasses awaited them. He was thin and pale, and didn't look at all athletic. "I'm Mr. Gramm, your archery teacher." he said, voice quiet and not very carrying. The students in the back had to lean forward to hear. "Today we'll be going over the history of archery, and the different types of bows." He looked out at his class, shifting uncomfortably. "But first, a demonstration." he walked over to where many bows lay, choosing a longbow, then walking back further and turning to face the target. Nocking and drawing, he paused, facing the target. He must have been about twenty feet away. Then, he closed his eyes. Pulling back the string, she shot the arrow. It hit the target dead center. Walking forward, Mr. Gramm faced the students. “Just so we’re perfectly clear, and there are no doubts.” He said. “Well, shall we get started?”

After chatting with their friends, when those in Drama made their way to the auditorium, they found a slim blonde man with bright blue eyes and bright blue wings waiting for them. “Hello class!” he called to his students. “It’s a really pleasure to meet you all. I’m Aes, but you may call me Mr. Myr. Here in Drama, I expect everyone to exert a lot of energy, think with a lot of inspiration, but above all, have a fabulous time! Today we’ll be doing some simple improvisation exercises. Can anyone tell me what improvisation is?!”

((Feel free to fill in the time between classes on your own. Asako’s post will come after I beat back my homework again.))

"Okay...?" Mori looked at Kuragari. She had a sadistic looking smirk, and talked as if she'd enjoyed harming someone. It was needless to say, kinda creepy. She didn't seem like a good person to associate with by the actions she'd just partaken in. "Um... I have to go get something." He said, shuffling off.

Asako groaned at the sound of the bell that signaled her impending doom. This is it... she thought glumly. You might as well kill me... Her ears flattened against her head and her tail drooped noticeably.

Then, she heard Anne's voice, offering her a measure of hope. "Do you want me to wait for me before I go to the next class, Asako?" Anne asked quietly.

Perking up slightly, she swished her tail in an attempt to feel better--and knowing Anne would be there for her, it kind of worked. "Yeah--yes, please!" she said, collecting her books and walking to the front of the room. "That would be really, really great."

Mr. Brown was waiting for them at the front of the room. "Ms. Nakajima," he greeted her, sternly but not unkindly.

"Hey there, Mr. Brown, sir..." she said back, trying her hardest to remember her manners. It had been a long time since she had had to address anyone as 'sir'. "Um..." she said, fumbling for a succinct apology that would get Anne and her out of here quickly.

Mr. Brown, however, was not waiting for her. "Ms. Nakajima," he said again. (How many times does he have to say my name... Asako thought rather disparagingly.) "If you are going to be a part of my class, you'll have to get serious about it. Not paying attention and acting up are te two quickest ways to a failing grade. Do you understand, Ms. Nakajima?"

Asako wished she could sink into the floor. As much as she hated school, it was an ingrained part of her nature that she would not fail at anything, even school. "Yes, sir..." she said quietly.

"Good." Mr. Brown said, suddenly a bit unsure of himself. "Well then, Ms. Nakajima, you may go now."

Yes, please, thank you... she thought silently, to no one in particular. Walking over to where Anne waited, she said, "Come on, let's go."

Tristelle smiled and nodded, "Me too." She agreed about being exited about the class. Magic was really something, up until a few months ago, she had thought to be nonexistent. Just one of the things that was fun to imagine and write about. But really learning it, along with sword fighting and archery, was just too cool.

"I hope so." She said with a laugh, looking up from her notebook to the teacher when he mentioned her. But, honestly, it seemed like this bad mood was going to last the entire year. Just they way the woman carried herself was a big signal. She sounded so... Strict. So uptight. Tristelle sighed and looked to the door, watching as a student here and there would come into the room, mast likely not wanting to be late on their first day. "What'd you do in first period?" She asked Rhm curiously. He had some interesting classes, from what she'd heard.

"Oh, I had Divination," he said in the still not quite a whisper, "It was kind of cool, but the Lady Oceana sure is dramatic." His voice rose without him even noticing as he got into the story. "We did tea-leaves and I got a Clock, which is supposed to mean Dea-"

WHAM!

Rhm nearly jumped out of his seat as a ruler slammed on his desk. He prepared a hurried apology, but it died in his throat as he saw the ruler simply floating in the air above him. Mrs. Morningstar was standing at the front of the room, an arm elegantly outstretched in Rhm's direction.
"Mr. Kinomoto," she said. "You seem to be a talkative student. Maybe you can name for me one of the 13 Laws established by the Red Coven?" She stood expectantly.
"Uh...," Rhm mumbled, "I don't think you taught us that yet, Mrs. Morningstar."
The teacher raised an eyebrow. "Haven't I? Perhaps you should be quiet so I can tell you."
Rhm gulped, and Pan looked mildly amused. "Got it, ma'am."

Mrs. Morningstar moved her hand down and the enchanted ruler flew back and gently laid itself on her desk. She began slowing pacing the room. "As you all know, there are two primary sects of magic: Black and White. Contrary to popular belief, no sect is good or evil, they are just different manifestation of the same force. Every four years, leading Magi from both groups come together and vote on thirteen people to don the Red robes and be the balancing force between the two sects. When the first Red Coven met over two-hundred years ago they created the 13 Laws of Magic. Using one of the most powerful spells in existence, the bound each and every magic user to an oath to abide by these laws. You can no more go against then than you can turn lead into gold."
There were a few disappointed sounds at this and a smile twitched at Mrs. Morningstar's lips. "Sorry, it just can't be done, much as the alchemist Nicholas Flamel would have you believe it can.
"In any case, before you do any magic, I will make sure these rules are drilled into your brains as tightly as your own name."
She sharply turned to the board and began writing in small, quick strokes. "Rule number one..."

Rhm wrote as quickly as he could in his notebook. Pan helped a little by repeating what she said into Rhm's mind as he wrote it so he could get it all.

acarian watched in boredom and groaned when she said they wouldnt be learning magic on the first day. he fell into day dreaming almost immediately. he heard a familiar voice in the back of his head.
"acarian, i feel your boredom. why don't you have some fun?"
"there is NO way im doing anything like that in class,"acarian said to the voice.
"you know i have control over you, my friend. i can make you do anything i want you to do," the voice said as he started to change acarian.
"NO!!" acarian shouted falling to the ground. he tried to hold the power in, but as wings bursted from his back, he quickly jumped out the window and flew to the middle of the feild where he went full dragon.he grew10 times his size and let out a sound piercing roar that made the school shake.

((It's fine, Promised, school always comes first. Surf_Dude, I know you're waiting for us but...I already have some catching up to do! And you as well, seeing as Magic class already started.))

Anne was thankful Mr. Brown didn't hold Asako for long. "See, I told you you'd be ok!" She smiled as they left the room. She saw the boy from before standing in the doorway and had to prevent herself from giggling. Seeing Cassio walking around her impantiently, she checked her clock.
"Gosh, I have to run to Magic, I don't want to be late! And I think Allison is there. Good luck with your next class!" She winked at her friend and started running through the hallways, trying to catch up with Cassio already running in front of her, but to no avail.
When she got to the classroom, he was already sitting stiffly on the middle front-row desk. "You just never change, do you?" She whispered as she grudgingly took that place. It was a lot closer to the teacher than she had hoped to be. And the teacher wasn't nice either.
Looking around discreetly trying to find Allison, she was startled when the teacher whacked a boy's table. "Gosh, I better behave in this class..." She thought as she started taking notes on the Red Coven.
Then she heard commotion somewhere far behind her; turning to see what happened, she caught a glimpse of a figure jumping out of the window, and the ground shook at the sound of a great roar.
"What the..." She had totally forgotten the teacher now, and was standing up, looking at the window, as was nearly everyone else. "Can't I have a normal, undisturbed class in my first day?"

Kuragari watched as the human ran off, 'so it did work.' Sighing she headed on to archery.

Walking into class Kuragari took her place against the back wall. The teachers voice was kinda hard to here but with her ears she caught every word. After watching her new teacher get a nice bulls eye Kuragari was disapointed to hear taht they were just goin over the history and types of bows. 'I can't believe this', sitting back Kuragari stared off into space already feeling a little tired. 'I'm a frigin vampire I'm not suppose to be awake yet.' So Kuragari just tuned the teacher out, she knew all about different bows from watching archery classes that took place at night when she wasn't feeding.

"total control and it feels so good!" the demonic voice said
"im not going to let you hurt anyone, any more vlas!" acarian shouted from inside.
"silly, silly boy, you still realize that i control you, my friend," vlad smirked. "in fact, lets have some fun at the archery range!" said vlad, an evil grin coming on.
acarian felt powerless to do anything about this. then he spied what he needed. "the swimming pool!" he thought excitedly. "this could be my only chance," he thought to himself. "hey vlad! isn't that a couple of perfectly barbequeable children???" acarian shouted at the dragon.
"what, i don't see an-aaaaaaaahhhh!!!!" vlad shouted as he steped into the pool.
"yes!" acarian said getting up from the tackle.
"YOU WILL PAY CHILD!!!" vlad shouted as he started to dematerialize back into the shape of a boy.
"i......did....it..." acarian thought, blacking out. he fell, hit the water and sank to the bottom.
(if you were wondering, and im sure not many of you are, the bolded voice is acarian's inner dragon.)

((Cool?))

Mori took his seat in the archery class. "Joy." He said, receiving news that he'd have to learn the history of the bows. Meh, he'd gotten himself comfortable, falling into a semi-dreamlike state, half paying attention, half thinking about being a super-awesome ninja. There were a few sounds in the background, namely a dragon thrashing about only a couple hundred meters away. But that didn't distract him. From his daydreaming.
