Tear watched him angrily for a moment and was about to spit out an insult when she noticed Baylor had dropped the egg. She picked it up. "Aha!! I got it!" Teardrop's long black tail swished back and forth in mock triumph.

"Hey! Give me back my egg!" Baylor snatched back the egg. He then stuck out his tongue at her and pulled down one of his eyelids to mock her.

She growled at him and restrained herself from clawing him to death. Instead, Teardrop turned to the girl who had kept her from beating Baylor up. "Don't tell me you're another pathetic human who got trapped here too!"

For once Ochiro didn't protest. He laid his head back against the trunk of the tree with a sigh, unable to maintain the hold over his wound. The shadow that had been protecting the gash on his shoulder disappeared, leaving it free to bleed openly.At once a demon caught scent of the blood. She stopped midswing, abruptly releasing the unconcious human in her grasp. "It cannot be...." Her eyes narrowed. No. There was no mistaking that scent. "One survived." Ina whispered to herself. Hastily she nudged the human into the hollow of a nearby tree. She'd finish it later. Right now, she had more pressing business.Further away, Ochiro lay waiting for the inevitable onslaught of lesser demons. A minute passed by. Nothing.
"But... why didn't they come?..." He wondered softly. At the same time, unknownst to him, a tiny kitten silently slipped into the nearby bushes. It's luminous eyes watched both Ariko and him without a sound.((I'll work on putting up Ina's profile. In the meanwhile, I'll use purple for Ochiro and pink for events related to Ina. Ariko turned around and stared himm. "There's nothing yet. I sence them, but they aren't attacking...."Ariko was confused. She senced something watching them. "Becareful.....there's somtone watching. "She got into her ready stance as she took out a huge bandage and threw it to Ochiro. "Use that for now...."She glanced around nervously ready for anything.

Ochiro reached for the bandage and began wrapping his damaged shoulder as best he could with only one hand. He was still of no use right now if anything did attack- he couldn't even sense the shadows. But that was only to be expected; he was still a baby by demon standards. It could be another hundred years before he'd developed full control over his powers.
Shifting his weight to his good hand, Ochiro slowly pushed himself up with the help of the tree for support. The kitten had disappeared.
Elsewhere, Ina knelt down to recieve news from her summoning. The kitten pressed a soft pad into her hand, instantly relaying information through touch. The wolf demon cocked her head to one side as if listening. After a length, she picked up the cat and placed it onto her shoulder. "So, the heir is still alive." Ina mused. "And in the company of those two no less. The third I could care less about, but the others..." She rubbed the kitten gently along it's ears. It meowed softly, pleased with the attention. "You have done well Nero. Well indeed."

Kanamie glared darkly at Teardrop "i'm not pathetic so shut it.......i'm not in the mood for meager sarcastic remarks from an insolent cat.......or whatever you are....." she slowly stood "i'm tired of putting up with insults from everyone, you know just because someone is different from you doesn't mean they're pathetic, or lower than you..... sure we only have so many years to live while you walk around with immortality..... you know not all humans are bad, just like you some are misunderstood......." she finally sat down on the ground "i can't take it anymore....... " her hair now covered her face.

Teardrop growled, and her tail wrapped itself around Kanamie before she could sit down, the now needle sharp fur digging into her flesh. "Don't EVER call me an insolent cat!!!"

Kanamie winced in pain "then don't act like one...... i may be human but that gives you no right to treat me like i'm nothing...... kill me if you like...... you think death has an effect on me well you're wrong....... i grew up alone after my parents died right in front of me at the age of 3..... i grew up in an orphanage alone and was treated worse then you can possibly imagine...... it was so bad that no physical pain can match it......" blood trickled down her arms and legs and she just smiled and empty smile " i rather die in this place than that retched boarding house..... so go ahead and kill me.... see if i care, but it wont change or make anything better i can garentee you that...." she closed her eyes, her heart slowed quickly, she had lost too much blood "besides.....i have....nothing left.....in this world...... only pain and misery....."
