Charlie gestured into her messy apartment, "I'm Charlie, excuse my messy apartment, I just moved in and all." She tossed her blond bangs from her face and smiled again, "it's a pleasure to meet you Elize."

"Don't worry about the apartment, mine's even messier," Elize said. She smiled, as she asked "Where did you come from? I noticed a touch of a cute accent."
"I'm from France by the way," Elize added.

"I was born here, in this actual city, but my parents moved to America when I was only a few months old. We moved around a lot, but we finally settled down when I was four. But I moved back here from Texas." She gently hit herself, then laughed, "Sorry, I ramble." Her hand twitched, a series of movements, including curling her fingers and creating a bit of a bear claw shape, then an 'L' shape with her index finger and thumb, then tucking her fingers in and extending her pinky finger, then drawing a small 'Z' with her indez finger in the air, and then redoign the first movement. It was sign language. She often finger-spelt names of people she met so she would remember. Elize wasn't hard to remember, but it stuck it to her memory. "Please, come in. I was brewing some tea, if you'd like some, your welcome to it."

"That's cool. I don't think you are rambling," said Elize. "It's must be neat to move so much. I was born in Paris, and grew up there, and lived there until I moved here, which was was like two days ago."
"Are you finger spelling," she asked, noticing her movements in the air. "I used to do that when I'd switch schools, otherwise I forget names. I would love some of that tea, thank you."

"It really wasn't so wonderful, I mean, I was always so reclusive because of it." Charlie looked down at her hand and then returned her gaze to Elize, blushing a bit, then scratching the back of her head, "It's quite an old habit. From when I was in high school. I took ASL all four years, so I am fairly fluent in it." She quickly shifted the subject and turned, "C'mon. If I have to ask again, I'll think your scared of me." She laughed, turning the corner and into the kitchen, just as the teapot hit a screech. She quickly pulled it off the hot burner, then placed it onto a cold one.
