It doesn't surprise me that there are people who believe in the ignorant propaganda that is so easily accessible on the internet. Even people supposedly on our side. It just proves that we need to be more adamant about correct edcuation.

Oh and I found this gem in a comment on Jill Staneks blog.

Quote:
The credulity required to believe that a stroke of a judges pen can actually make an inherently dangerous act safe is truly mind-boggling. Induced abortion is inherently dangerous because it deliberately seeks to destroy one innocent human life, and it violates a natural process set in motion at fertilization. The only thing that has mitigated the physical dangers of induced abortion was the discovery of antibiotics, which reduced the risk of some infections; however, women still die of infections from "safe & legal" abortions, and infection is but one of dozens of medically recognized physical abortion complication risks.

"Safe & Legal abortions" are thus a fantasy, as any of these women

and doubtless, many others like them, would attest if they could speak. They can't speak because they are all DEAD, from "safe & legal" induced abortions.

Their abortionists should be punished for double homicide because they intended to kill at least one innocent human being, and knew good and well that they were endangering the life of the mother as well.

Abortion does not cure or treat any actual disease or injury (pregnancy is not a disease; it is a normal function of a healthy reproductive system). It does deliberately take the life of an innocent person. Thus, it is not healthcare, but murder.

Pavone's advocacy of offering help to women faced with unplanned pregnancies is a no-brainer, whether killing the unborn is legal or not; however, his reticence to exempt women from punishment for their part in the deliberate murder of their children, just because those children are preborn, is sexist and unjust. Murder is murder, and she should be punished at least as an accessory, as should anyone else - of either sex - who can be proven beyond reasonable doubt to have pushed her to it, or participated in it. Proven extenuating circumstances might be accorded some leniency, however, such as minors pregnant by statutory rape, or incest...but then, it will be more difficult to establish the guilt of the perps of the rape/incest without the baby's DNA handy.
No wonder the proaborts milked the "rape/incest" thing for all it was worth in garnering public sympathy for Roe. Rapists and molesters get freedom from accountability, and the abortionists get more money killing off their children. What a deal.

None of us would be here if we had not spent some time inside the body of another person, as all of us did. So if you take away legal protection from any of us who are spending time in the place naturally constructed for all of us to begin life, you jeopardize all of us who began our in that manner. QUALITY OF LIFE MINUS SANCTITY OF LIFE EQUALS GENOCIDE; discrimination based on age or place of residence(in or ex utero)doesn't change that. The fact that you weren't killed in utero does not alter the fact that had you been killed in utero, it is not a "mere foetus" that wouldn't be here now, but the person you are now. Got it? So deal with it already!

Oh, and check out Demographicwinter.com.

Interesting, I've never met a pro-deather yet who didn't use that "overcrowded planet" b.s. to try to justify his/her part in the mass slaughter of innocents...or one with the guts to leave the planet him/herself, rather than kill others to make it more accomodating for him/her. Not that I recommend suicide; but then I don't buy into Malthus/Erdreich's long discredited population bombscare. Just pointing out that with the Population Police, it's always about imposing his/her view, fatally, on others, for one's own comfort; the epitome of selfishness, injustice, hypocrisy and cruelty.

Thanks, Kata, but I fixed it. Who knew that one mistake in a quote tag could do so much damage?

Quote:
Induced abortion is inherently dangerous because it deliberately seeks to destroy one innocent human life, and it violates a natural process set in motion at fertilization.

'Cause when you don't have actual facts that prove a procedure is inherently dangerous, it's perfectly acceptable to substitute appeals to emotion. rolleyes

1. Funny. I didn't know that antibiotics were invented in January of 1973. What an amazing coincidence!

...OH WAIT. According to Wikipedia, pennicillin was widely used in World War II.

2. Women still die of infections from all kinds of surgeries. Why not target those if you care SO MUCH about these poor women?

Quote:
[huge list of women allegedly killed by complications related to abortion]

You know what is twelve times MORE likely to kill you than a legal first-trimester abortion? Childbirth.

And you know what's really ******** funny? They included at least one name that died in 1972! The year before Roe vs. Wade!

Quote:
Their abortionists should be punished for double homicide because they intended to kill at least one innocent human being, and knew good and well that they were endangering the life of the mother as well.

But the women? They weren't accomplices, no. Everyone knows women aren't their own moral agents. The doctors must have tricked them.

Nevermind! See below.

Quote:

Nobody in this guild should be shocked by this.

As far-fetched as it may sound, she's actually being consistent and fair. It is absolutely sexist for a pro-life person to imply that women aren't "guilty" for their abortions. This beleif is based on the assumption that women are too ignorant and weak-minded to make decisions for themselves. If you honestly beleive that abortion is the equivalent of murder, it makes perfect sense for you to treat women and doctors as murderers. Any lifer that advocates a punishment less than that of a murderer either does not honestly beleive that abortion is murder, or they think women have no knowlede or moral agency and that abortion providers are tricking them into it.

And besides: I like it when lifers are consistent in their cruelty. It shows them for what they really are.

Yes, because my present beleifs TOTALLY effect what happened in the past. rolleyes

I'm sure the genocide victims in Rwanda or the holocaust are just enamored with your trivialization of their pain and suffering. And all those civil rights and equal rights movements must be THRILLED that you're co-opting their language in order to take away the rights of women.

There's so much to work with!

1. Name-calling.
2. Strawman.
3. Denial of the reality of overpopulation.
4. Accusing people of selfishness for trying to make sure that every human being has the resources they need to live a decent life.

There's a lesson here, though: DO NOT rely on the overpopulation issue. If it were about overpopulation and not reproductive rights, you'd be advocating forced abortion/sterilization/contraception.

I thought that barely_evil had stopped trying to debate abortion, but she just went to the GD. Here is another one of her "gems"

Quote:

Well if they did make abortion ilegal and women were going elswhere to get abortions, even risking their lives, I wouldn't have any sympathy for them. It's a mother trying to kill her child so what good to this world can she be??
Women get abortions mainly out of fear. They know it's wrong, but they are afraid of childbirth, being a mother, and own lives being altered. Selfish huh? They're other reasons of course like what will their friends and parents think, economic reasons, but if you live in America you can get mostly everything free if you are of low income and have a child. The main reason given to the clinics for abortions is "elective" so there you go.

Plus, life begins at conception, everyone knows that

Before I saw cameron on Myspace, barely_evil was the worst pro-life troll. Actually... with cameron constantly calling women whores and saying that he would put pro-choice women in Nazi death-camps if he could, you at least get the feeling that he's probably just a sick, messed-up person trying to piss people off an get attention. barely-evil's stuff is very real, very sincere, and it makes her all the more horrifying.

I dunno... It's very consistent, and it acknowledges that if you're pro-life, you're basically against non-procreative sex.

Anyway, I found this in FSTDT's Public Admin queue today:

Nice. The holocaust comparisons weren't enough. They needed to find another atrocity to make baseless comparisons to, so they're using South African apartheid.

I successfully submitted this Jill Stanek quote to FSTDT recently:
Quote:
It is so hard to find a good abortionist these days. Most seem to meet with one of three professional demises: imprisonment for sexual assault; medical license revocation for malpractice; or death, alone in their beds, while watching porn flicks after overdosing on heroin.

Yes, it's from the same article where she claims that abortion providers eat fetuses. In fact, that's her opening paragraph!

Ugh. I hate that Stanek woman. She is like one of my worst nightmares.

She got some of her cronies to defend her in the comments of Dana Goldsteins Post on RHReality Check on When Obama Voted 'No'.

Here is a little taste of what they are saying:

Quote:
Thanks to people like you who "believe" that life begins after birth, abortion will continue to be alive and well. Before you go online typing and farting off your views, or should I say opinions-which everyone is entitled to.....get the facts. First and foremost, SHAME ON YOU for calling Jill Stanek a liar. There are TONS of horrible, ILLEGAL things that go on behind closed doors @ abortion clinics-and she just happens to be one of those individuals that's brave enough to blow the whistle on these clinics. At 25 days old, the BABY has a heartbeat. Do you want to argue a scientific fact now? Knock yourself out. LIFE BEGINS @ CONCEPTION.
It's such a shame that all of you Non-Christians go around preaching how it's okay to kill unborn babies and that it's the "woman's right". God says that that's a sin. By the way-aren't you glad that you're mother didn't choose to abort you?.......YAY PRO-LIFE. (Just something for you to ponder).

EDIT: I was just thinking I'd like to pit some of our best debators against Jill Stanek and watch her flounder and sink. That would make my day.

I saw that! ("Sayna" in the comments is me. That's my usual online name.)

In fact, it's what inspired me to go looking into what else she's said. The blog is fairly tame, but her World Net Daily columns are just ******** insane.

Hey, did you also notice that she posted one of the pro-choicers' comments on her blog? One woman said that she had a late-term abortion when she found out that her baby would never have been able to survive, and when Stanek introduced the quote to her readers, she said that the woman aborted it simply because it was "disabled", making it seem like she just didn't want a disabled child and not ignoring the fact that she didn't want to give birth to a child that would just suffer and die. People on the blog were saying that the woman was selfish and immoral for aborting, and that it was God's choice and not hers.

I never saw Stanek ask permission to use the quote.

I saw that after someone else (LoL I just noticed it was you.) pointed it out. No, she certainly did not ask the persons permission to post her quote because pro-choicemomof3 didn't link her email address so I don't think any conferring went along there. Someone should openly call her on that.

Stanek is excellent at misquoting people and taking what they say out of contex. I completely agree with the other people who said that she lies. I also seriously think that shes lying about having been a nurse in a hospital too because a lot of what she says about what went on there is only possible if she had been a nurse in a hospital in the european east-block or other poorer nations.

I used to try to refute what the people in her comments on her blog said but I just gave up. It's hard to convince people who are so set in stone that there is another side to what they believe.

I was debating goatshow tonight (this guy only thinks in black and white, I swear...), and apparently since I think that issues regarding conjoined twins depends on what happens and what they want to do, then I think that bodily domain is BS... I swear...

Watch out for that guy. He is one of the genuinely hate-filled ones, and he seems really unstable. He says his two goals are to argue against the pro-choice position and make pro-choice girls look heartless. So he'll probably try to twist anything you say in order to make you look like an evil slut. Also, the "fathers' rights" seems to be his pet issue.

RE: "When Obama Voted No"

I told somebody to stop insulting my intelligence by trying to pass off abortionfacts.com as a non-biased site. I was asked to prove it was biased and contained inaccurate information, and I cited examples.

When I pointed out several false accusations the site made about Planned Parenthood:

Quote:
I agree that Planned Parenthood isn't all about abortion. It is mostly about abortion and ridding the world of "human weeds," to quote Margaret Sanger, PP's foundress and eugenicist who inspired the Nazis.

Emphasis original.

When I pointed out that Post-Abortion Syndrome is not recognized by the APA or any other medical/psychological association, they lamented that it was being ignored and had this to add:

Quote:
It troubles me that more women DON'T report such symptoms. This suggests that a certain hardness and/or indifference to life has become the norm, owing in no small measure to the virtually unlimited abortion license that the Burger Court imposed on the country, its declaration that unwanted unborn human life is, as a matter of constitutional law, living garbage, fit for disposal by any and all means.

I called him out on wishing that more women felt horrible about having abortions. I was pretty harsh, I'll admit. Anyway, here's his reply:

Quote:
Sayna, have YOU ever had an abortion? Did YOU feel just great about it? Do you suppose that I don't feel the anguish of my SISTERS who have had abortions, who told me how bitterly they regretted being forced into making a "choice" that was nowhere close to being free? Who the hell are you, anyway, to tell me what I think, and that I hate women? Has anyone ever called you a sexist sow? Well, allow me to do just that.
