Hmm.. Like, fight for fight, judged, then next fight, judged etc. I can't say no story line.

There's a storyline, which is the pitch paragraph on the Home page. Quote: A single man decided to host an open tournament for all fighters that wished to compete for the title of Gaia's greatest fighter--the greatest fighter in the omniverse, across worlds, galaxies, timelines, the multiverse, realms, realities, and planes--using his own wealth, materials, connections, and abilities to construct a stadium for the event. Welcome. The stories are created between the fighters themselves. I do little to create an overarching storyline unless the owner or some other NPC I have is pulled intentionally or non intentionally into a plot.

Well, yes.
Rounds of fighting between fighters paired up. Lasting two weeks.
After such a timeframe, they're closed off for us to judge.
Once we finish, we display the results. Each fighter gets one free loss before they are done.
As for plot...there can be some. It's sorta up to the fighters to develop it as such, though. Rivalries and the like can sprout up, with other various things happening between rounds at various RP threads we have in the guild.
Final note; Canon. What happens before/during the tournament affects your character. Period.
