ooc: Speeding up the desert trek ;P
After Several hours of the slow trudging through sand dunes, whipping winds and searing hot heat, they finally made it to the towering wooden gates that lead into the city of Urkal. The city was comepltly envoloped in a clean white stone wall that resemble the stone used in Greek Pillars. Atop the walls were numerous holes for firing from, many siege looking weapons on the twoer piallers and other such defense mechanism. And at the very bottome was probably the most technological item there. A tiny computer screen was embedded into the rock. Xinrie scootched towards it and pushed the button. After a moment's pause a man's voice echoed into the air. "Urkal, What is your buissness?" His voice was heavily accented as he stated it in English, obviously it wasn't the usual first language here. Xinrie held up her Mishaps badge and flashed it before the screen. "Proceed." The gates suddenly creaked and groaned, clanking thier metal hitches together as they slowly opened, just wide enough fro them to walk through in a single-file fashion.

She walked behind Xinrie still untrusting of the other men, especially Paradigm. "Finally! I was getting tired of the desert,Captain when we go into the city do we have to go directly to the mission or can we look around? I want to buy something for my daughter who is at the base." She said smiling, she wondered what her daughter was doing.
She looked at Sokato and pouted. "So you think I can't be any good huh? Fine I will go to Mommy's squad you will see!" She said as she stormed off walking towards the training room on her own.

Everything went by pretty slow... During the whole trip, Paradigm could only percieve three things: sand, wind and sweat --well, and his bothersome psicrystal, but that had been going on since he took off the helmet at the HQ. It was a rather dull trip, as they didn't talk much, being interested in other things such as not getting sand on their tongues and following the buildingtops that grew as they neared their destination.
Easily two hours since they had walked through the portal must've gone by when they finally reached the city. Paradigm noticed the fine white stone walls that were erected up from the sandy ground to protect the city. It was an intriguing construction in many aspects. They would need to gap the wall here and there to allow it to stretch and constrict when the heat got harder during the day and inexistant during the night, thus making the wall insufferably weak at these spots, and thusly not very effective for warfare, which meant that Urkal was at relative peace with outsiders. The white color did not only not blend in with the rest of the desert, but it attracted attention. This was all easily explained in that they probably -wanted- to call attention. A city in the desert doesn't get many travelers, as it was.
At the gate, Paradigm noticed the computer and scowled. Why weren't they being allowed to use technological devices again? Wasn't it because this city's technology wasn't very advanced? If so, then what was that panel doing there? For now, he didn't want to interrupt the captain, but later on he'd ask her.

Brian sighed, and switched through the channels. the cameras just fed him some uninteresting stuff. He was about to stop, as he watched the motion detectors. His heartbeat raced, and he focused on the motion with the normal cameras. He simply had to record this. Saving the image in his files, he grinned, and stopped the simulation. For a minute, he had the feeling that they were drifting through space, then the new simulation had loaded. They now stood in a very business-like room, with him at the head of the table. The walls were covered in kyrillic, and some charts showed the business-progress of the Moscowa electric company. He leaned back, and waited for the programm to form his new servant. It came pretty good after what he had expected. a big, bald man, in a very formal suit, and with a face that could have made him the father of the commander, who had just reccieved note from his daughters unusual career. "Geser, dawai!" He leaned back in the squeaky chair, and watched out of the window. The moscova-simulation was quite nicely done, but he doubted anybody would get the hint. Geser, the virtual representation of his helping programms in this setting, slowly switched on a big red button, and a bit of smoke appeared on the table. a green laser modell of the mishaps building appeared in the smoke. and, a very detailled modell of the intruder. "Approimately 10 minutes ago, this nice fella entered the perimeter of my sensors. definitively someone who you will have to watch out for. By the way, the simulation was saved as I quit it, so no long face, Captain. You will allways be able to torture these unimmaginative meatbags later on. No need to smile though, sugartits and doveboy, you did about the worst performance I have seen in a long time. If I would be your captain, I would suggest the commander to ask her money back. " Brian grinned, as he watched their faces. "OK, now, what shall we do about that lizzard? I mean, I would suggest exercising a bit the old social skills and giving him or her a warm welcome. With a hand open for a hug and a weapon of choice in the other one. " He looked around, and grinned at the people. "If you are too afraid, I will go on my own... always wanted to see if I can smoothtalk a lizzard..."

Sokato felt kinda bad about hurting the little girls feelings. He looked down and shook his head. He then got up. "I never said you would not be useful!" He yelled at the girl as she walked out. "Oh wait, maybe I did say that..." He pondered that thought for a couple of moments than began to wonder why he was still in the cafeteria.
Still sitting in the cafeteria for no good reason, an alarm goes off in his head, almost literally. He cringes for a moment then it goes away. "Damn an alarm has been tripped. Motion sensor was tripped." He stands up and thinks for a moment. "Input security cameras feeds 1-20." The images flash through his head as he looks for an intruder. He eventually catches the lizard on one of the cameras. He gets a bit startled by the sight of it but keeps his cool. "...Well that does not seem to big does it? I should still check it out though."
Sokato stops looking through the cameras. He rushes out the cafeteria doors and through the halls only stopping to check if he had the pistol still holstered under his trench coat. He exits Mishaps HQ through the front door and walks around the building looking for the lizard. Sokato, clinging to the shadows spots the lizard on top of the wall. He keeps silent waiting to see what the giant lizard will do.

"Well we first must sign in, Then we split into teams and patrol...Whilst on Patrol acrobat, you can buy something." Xinrie smiled lightly and looked back to examine the others, she could see Paradigm's scowl at the monitor. She looked back at it with a bit of confusion, her head cocking to the side as she remembered the technology talks. She guessed that was probably why he was scowling right now. "Oh...Everything here is run elementally, this was run with an elemental mage's electricity..well thier not really mages, They call them Genyargs here....Anyway this is as far as they will probably ever get technology wise here." She shrugged and notioned for the gate. "Well then...Shall we?"

Now standing with her back to a wall that had just popped up, she looked around suspiciously, then lowered her gun and sword. Sliding it back into it's scabbord she tilted her head, standing at attention again. I have too much fun in combat, I really must remember to stop that.., she thought to herself with a shake of her head. She glanced at the captain and the tech, riasing an eyebrow at the butler while she listened. Folding her hands behind her back she stood straight, forceing herself not to snicker at the unusual techboy. Sugertits and doveboy. Great. Looking at the captain for direction she waited patiently, thinking the captain looked like she was going to kill someone, and it looked as though she was looking at the techboy. Still rather suspicious since she didn't trust anyone fully, especially since they had just met, she lowered her eyes and glanced around, still half expecting the last two monkees to jump out at any minute.

Once at the top of the wall the lizard pulled it’s self to rest crouching down it held upon one of the large flat stones there looking over the surrounding fort. It had seen the cameras on the walls but had no understanding of what they are or do so he had just ignored them begin more watching for people of other creatures to be on guard duty which he had also noted as there seemed to be no one on the wall with him. Letting go of the stone it crouched upon the lizard now moved along the top part of the wall running upon all fours fore only a brief moment then it leaped off the wall to drop to the inner part of the fort where it would start its search of the grounds looking for the leader of the fort.
(Character Description) When standing at full height he stands around 8 feet tall his tail is 4 feet in length. Scale color is a mix of dark green and forest green with a yellow almost white running along the bottom of his tail to his chin so under belly. Starting at the tip and going back to just above the eyes are four small spikes from there the spikes seem to be more like plates with one large one set atop the head then turning into smaller ones which go down the length of the body ending at the tail. As for clothing he has a type of leather and steel mix for his loin cloth accompanying this is a leather strap that connects to a shoulder guard and two sheaths which hold what would seem to be almost like broad sword hilts but in fact are two short swords that are custom made for his kind making them unwieldy for most. (End of Description)

Sokato stood still as the lizard crawled across the wall and onto the ground hoping not to be spotted. Maybe later if needed, Sokato would make his presence clear but for now, he would rather observe. Sokato, moving along the wall of the main building thought to himself, 'That lizard is even uglier in person. I might want to avoid a fight. Yes shooing it away would be best.'
Sokato's foot steps where barely audible but if the lizard where to turn around, he would probably be spotted pretty quickly. Sokato is, a tall, lean man. He is dressed entirely in black. He has black cargo pants, a black trench coat, black shoes, and sunglasses with an incredibly dark tint that one might think he is blind. That is all he wears wherever he goes. Even in the desert he will wear the trench coat and even in a dark cave, he will still wear the sunglasses.

"Hold up Tech, as for the fact of weather or not its threating, I can tell it isn't, and my second point, if you don't believe me, then lets go talk to it, if it doesn't speak human, Konna can translate for us, and I'm going right now, so you better do what you want, cause I feel my plan is right. Ma'am, if you tell me that this creature is a threat, then I will have to disagree with you." Erald gets up and heads over towards the only apparent exit. He leaves the rooms and from his previous surveys, locates a main stairwell and takes it to the roof. He spots the creature before reaching the roof, and stops and holds up his hands, showing he means to be no threat. "Hey, green scales, speak English, if not she probably speaks your language." He says pointing at Konna. Konna stairs up at the creature, noting by the way it looks it is probably a cross bread between a dragon or lizard, and maybe a human. Obviously it is a close range combat expert, judging by the two swords, but for the moment, it looked pretty passive.

Brian shook his head, and pressed a few keys on his keyboard. He just had been too shocked, but he was not going to let this stay uncommented. The big geser in his suit somehow.... changed. For example, he put on about 90 puonds. like a woman would. and now his suit was just like something straight out of oprah. In a few seconds, Geser had become a big black woman with furry eyebrows. He pointed at the door, and then at Brian. "Did that Mother...... just walk out on you?" Brian nodded. The woman turned ar0ound towards captain eva. "and I did not hear him ask for permission to leave to the thing. " brian pointed at the woman as she copied his movement. "Oh no, he didn't! oh NO, he didn'T! That motherfscker got some nerves. " He clapped his hands, and Geser finally disappeared. He turned around, and looked at the captain. "I am so sorry that doveboy got away. I mean, I did not even plan on having the gate to the outside activated. I mean, it mainly was an accident. So, captain, what are we gonna do? I could get the scenario back, get us some leanchairs, and copy the scene in the sky. In case bets are made, I call 20 bucks on the smooth lizzards, reasons being he is better dressed then doveboy and at least seems to have a brain. I mean, just supposing he meets sme other dude, is he just going to assume because I am human, I know all languages of humankind?" He shook his head, and looked back at the captain. He at least could wait. this time.

Staring at the swinging door, Apollime turned to look back at the captain and the tech. Though the thing in the suit was kinda funny, she couldn't laugh, she gritted her teeth and fisted her hands, anger boiling up at impudence of the halfing. She could not stand that, and from thier similar training and background she highly doubted the captain would be so pleasent about it. Turning back at the tech's question she looked at the little holo showing the idiot on the edge of the roof as the thing crawled closer, noting the other guy already tailing the lizard. She would be surprised if the other one didn't shoot the halfling, and he would probobly deserve it. But her captain had given her an order earlier, about her and her partner. And she couldn't break it unless the captain said so. Turning back she folded her arms behind her back and looked at the captain solemn faced. "What are your orders captain?"

Sanosuke wandered the halls "Hmpf, I wonder everyone is?" His teel Irises wandered the walls as he allowed his hand to feel what ever he could get his hands on he was truly amazed, Astonished. "Wow, with this facility and their missions I can improve durastically, and maybe find the man who killed everyone in my household!" he was trained to show no emotion but sometimes he let it slip, after his little moment he deicded to move on and look for his captain."I believe I'm slithen" he pondered for a moment and smiled "I'll found out when I get there I guess"

Sokato, seeing the moron walk up to the giant lizard and talk to it. Sokato was pissed because now, it is going to be a lot harder to keep an eye on it from the shadows. He does not know what the lizard will do and so does not the retard talking to the lizard.
He pulls out his gun. Its a desert eagle. Sokato polishes it often so the gun is really shiny. 'Dammit, I don't know which I should shoot. The retard that is screwing this up or the lizard.' He thought to himself moving closer. 'I should not shoot the mercenary or else some other squad captain and the commander would be more than pissed off. So the best thing to do right now is to be ready to open fire at the lizard to protect the dweeb who's interfering.' Sokato approaches, only twenty yards away from both of them. He keeps close to the main building using the shadow to help hide him.
'I swear if this person was in my squad, squad Slithen, I would have torn him a new one a long time ago.'

She shrugged and notioned for the gate. "Well then...Shall we?" Gene looked back at Xinrie, rolling his eyes. "Yeah? Well I'm surprised that they haven't found out electricity yet and don't have their own TV channels and whatnot. If they can afford to make a monitor with a voice recording, you'd think Cybertel and television would be last decade's news..."
It kind of made sense, what Gene was aiming at. Think about it. When the creation of something such as a screen that relays images and making audio systems to go along with the visuals, one didn't instantly think 'we can use this as a means to make an intercom with a screen for when people walk into our city's gates!'. It just didn't make sense at all if that's as advanced as they got. In that case, Gene was expecting for them to at the very least have cable radio or something.
"Whatever; let's just sign in already and get this mission over with..."
