"Livy is doing well. She wonders where you have been...and why you left without much explination, and I have none to give her....She misses you. It is funny how a child misses its father."
"The razorteeth should only be mortal...but possess...skills of lycans and vampires. It is quite sickening actually.
so...why did you go..?"

*It is not quite night, but it is dim enough outside that the sun is obscured. Some mortals were about, but this was New York City. In this place, no one would raise an eyebrow if you started running up and down the sidewalks screaming at the top of your lungs. If anyone noticed that some people were looking unusually pale, they didn't care enough to mention it. Maximillion is only strolling through the area, taking note of all he walks past.*

Frustrated with herself after the battle with really no result she walked away from the cound of voices elsewhere in the park, making her way towards a park bench. She slid into the wet seat when it hit her. She had left her coat by that damn forest. A low growl escaped her as she flipped teh safety on her magnums adn headed slowly back towards the spot where she had left her coat, lost in thought, her eyes focused on the path ahead of her.

Cady looks doan, and his hand stops, "I couldn't eat. not even that cold blood pre extracted for us... so I left the city where every person has a brother and a father and a mother and a lover. I went to someone more remote... I could kill and it wouldn't be noticed for days... but I realised while I was out there... that we are better than them. Why should we care for their wants? Their 'love' is nothing but a shadow of real love, the love we feel, and so I killed an entire excavation team, drank as much as I could, and explored the ruins they wouldn't. In there I fount the remains of a vampire, burned I assume, and several mortals who dies long ago... and that relic I gace you, as well as one I retained for myself" He takes out a scarab, forged in gold, but treated to make it darker than norma gold. He opens its wings and inside there's the same purple gem, and for just an instant your mind is filled with a terrible wailing, but Cady closes it. "Amasing... these artifacts have some of the ancient demons' power in them... but they were made for us, our race."

*Maximillion hears someone walking behind him. He wouldn't have even noticed, if she hadn't been obviously carrying a gun on her. She seemed focused on something else, so he didn't bother her. He did, however, keep one eye on her.*

*She listened as he explained.
The second he opened the scarab she put both her hands over her ears as she heard intense wailing inside her head...it made her head burn. as he closed it, it seemed it had taken him years to do so.*
"These gems...what are they?? quite powerful I assume?"

Finally making it to her coat she stooped and picked it up, draping it over her arm lightly. She brashed some hair that was plastered to her forehead out of her eyes once more, cracking her neck as she checked to make sure that her magnums were properly put away, saftey locked. Seeing that everything was in order, she straightened up, feeling as if there were a pair of eyes on her.
At the moment she really didnt mind, if they messed with her, she would mess back. She was still a bit frustrated as she went over the previous battle in her mind, criticizing every move she made and telling herself mentally what she should have done instead. "Oh well...whats done is done," she muttered to herself, brushing some muddy dirt off her shirt as she turned to head back to the bench.

"They... they have the dead inside them... I don't know what they once were, but they hav souls bound to them... some are helpfull, like yours will tell you when you're in danger. Mine was made to disorientate others... I have another at home, for Livy, that helps quell anger and controll the spirit... There were so many that had lost their power though... I can only begin to imagine the intense power we used to have... now look at us... we're like some kind of secret mortal society... but times change I suppose... Well, It's been a long journey... I must retire."

*Making sure to not let his guard or wards down, Maximillion approaches the person- the girl, as he can now see. His curiousity has been piqued. From her aura and body build, she looked human... which shouldn't be a surprise, but is. She carries a gun, which meant she could easily be one of any kind of mortal; an undercover cop, a gang member (or the girlfriend of a gang member), maybe even a drug dealer. Stranger things had been found than a female drug dealer in her early twenties. But no. There was no way to tell for sure, but he had a feeling that she wasn't a drug dealer, or a gane member, and she certainly wasn't an undercover cop. He stands about five feet from the bench, his stance perfectly casual.*
...Hello.

"Goodnight my love. It is good to have you back."
*She gave him a kiss on the cheek.*
"There is a present in your room for you.....I made it while you were away.....it is hanging on your wall."
*In his room was a huge picture of the city, obscured in some sense with intense blues contrasting to the dark hues and the light ones. she hoped he would enjoy it.*

Instantly she looked up, a streak of mud across her cheek as her eyes darted up and down his figure. It wasnt in her nature to be trusting of anyone when she first net them, but at the same time she didnt want to be completely rude.
She slipped onto the bench tearing ehr gaze from him as she pretended yo be interested in getting the dirt off her coat where it had been laying on the ground, giving him a short greeting, "...Hi.."

She looked up at him from her sitting position, her eyes scanning his figure for a breif instant once more. For a moment she sat in silence before answering, obviously taking great caution in her answer, "My name is Kerrigan...and you are?"

*The pause before giving her name actually tells him more than her name itself. A cop would have immediately handed out an alias, a drug dealer would've looked around for other people before answering. A gang member wouldn't have even hesitated, unless they were on the run. She had reason to be suspicious of people, to hesitate... yet she had a gun. She knew of the dangers of the night, and she had a gun. Maximillion had no real proof at all, but he was sure of it: she was a hunter. A mortal who was aware of the existence of nightwalkers.*
...my name is Maximillion. Maximillion Mardrate. I couldn't help but notice that you looked very...how do I say...conspicuous.
