Arrow resists the urge to start dancing around and cheering. "It's kind of hard to think of someone who is your rival is a friend as well. But we're not rivals anymore. I never really wanted to be in the first place, that's just how things went about." he says instead.

"Mm, I guess. But it's not like we really hung out together or anything either, unless we both happened to be hanging out with Wind at the same time."

Arrow smiles. "Well, now we'll just have to ostrasize Wind for a bit. He does deserve it after all. It's not like he ever told us one way or the other, or even hinted at who he might have liked better. And then he ran off."

"Even if I wasn't trying to ostrasize him, it'd seem like I was since I have the feeling I'll be avoiding him for a little while..."

Arrow's smile grows sly. "Then we make sure he knows we're ostracising him, and we tell him exactly why. I mean, I have the feeling that he wasn't planning on choosing either of us, but he never told us that, did he? He could have at least done that." He says matter-of-factly.

"I don't know if he wasn't going to choose either, or if he was being serious when he said he wasn't ready to date. I certainly believe it at the time, although now that he's dating someone it seems a little off, doesn't it." Foxy checks the time again, then gets out of the hot spring, "I need to get going now or I'll be late for work."

Arrow resists the urge to stare at Fox's naked wet body. He nods. "We'll talk more later, I suppose. We bachelors need to cling together."

"What, because we don't have anyone else to cling to? Yeah, well, I guess I'll talk to you later."

"I for one don't have anyone to cling to. Flower came back and she's involved with a former lover. I mean, I could have wandered back over to him if things went totally downhill here. I don't even have that though." He's joking, because he doesn't think that he'd ever be in a long term relationship with Cy. He smiles. "i'll see you later then."

On his way to work from the hot springs, he finds himself thinking about how attractive Arrow is... although, really it shouldn't be much of a revelation, since the nigthscout had been his competition for Wind after all. It's just he'd never really paid much attention before now. He shrugs off those thoughts, trying to concentrate for what was bound to be a hard day at work.

Arrow spends a while longer soaking in the spring. He decides that he should go an visit Cy and Flower, because they amuse him. He gets out, towels himself off, dresses then heads out toward Flower's ekele, knowing full well that it's much too early for her to be awake.

Skipping time, kdonewhee
After work the next day, Fox does NOT want to go home, since he has this feeling that Wind or Flower might try to seek him out or something, and he all ready feels like he's going to fall apart from trying to act like there was nothing wrong while working along side them all day.
Seriously not having many friends, he can't think of anywhere else to go but Arrow's, so he heads there, not even sure if the nightscout would be awake yet or not, and knocks at the door.

Arrow was in fact, asleep. He's a light sleeper though, so the knocking on the door wakes him easily. He calls out something that is supposed to sound like "I'm coming" but isn't sure it actually came out that way as he pads to the front door. He opens it, looking at his guest with a tired smile on his full lips. He's clad only in a pair of tight fitting dark pants, his scouting pants, that are slung low on his hips, accentuating his built stomach. His hair is in dissaray and sticking out in odd angles. When he realizes that it's Fox at the door, he smiles a little shyly, possibly embarrasedly. "Hi." he says.

Unfortunately, trista's ebilness goes to waste since Fox is too busy trying not to break down than to notice the hotness standing before him. He whispers, so any unevenness in his voice won't be as obvious, "Hi, can I come in?"

Arrow, even through his sleepy state, realizes that there's something up. He moves out of the way to allow Fox in. "Do you want me to put on some tea or something?" he asks, because tea is the best cheery-up drink in the world, and it's Arrow comfort drink.
