"You had quite a bit of trouble just with my Frogadier." Maddy pointed out, smirking a bit.
She sat down and closed her eyes, enjoying the night air. She didn't feel weak or anything, but it felt nice to sit down in the cool grass. Her left eye twitched a little and ruined the moment for her.
"UGH!!"
She tore the eye patch off, revealing her eye underneath. The stitches had fallen out and her eye looked fine... other than the fact that it was a bright emerald green.
"Awesome, I can see! Greens seem to be slightly brighter hues on my left side though... Huh."

"Inside AND out..." Dark says, getting closer to her to take a look at her eye. "Was your left eye always super green?"

Maddy blushed a little as he got closer to her.
"Green?! Both of my eyes are brown!" She stated, looking away from him.
She shuffled away from him a little.

"Not anymore. Looks like you got a case of heterochromia." He shrugs. "Kinda bad-a** looking actually." He crosses his arms.

"Wh-what?!" Maddy didn't really know what to think. Why was her eye green?!
"The Green Orb! Where is it?" She asked him, jumping to her feet.
"And you really think I like bad-a** now? Is that the kinda girl you're interested in!?"

"What?" Dark asks and scratches his head. "And the green orb isn't here. I have it hidden somewhere far away from here. I was actually gone all night to bring it where I brought it." He grins. "It's actually super safe."

"Oh... I wanted to see how it'd affect me."
She awkwardly scratched the back of her head.
"Uhhh... I guess we can head back to HQ then."
Maddy grabbed for Dark's hand but overshot a little and grabbed his sleeve. She began to pull him along anyways, back to the city.
"Where have all the others been, lately?"

Dark is pulled along by Maddy.
"Y'know I have no idea... Also now that I think about it, shouldn't we be helping Cody and Allen?"

"I don't know how to warp between dimensions, man."
She stopped suddenly.
"Screw the cops, you should quit your job and join Team Aqua officially."

Dark laughs. "I can't just do that. Besides, I don't like being a criminal. I put that stuff behind me. I like helping and saving people... Hoenn isn't the only place with large gangs and syndicates. They do some pretty terrible things you know."

Maddy gave him a sad look.
"But I don't want you to leave. And I'm sure no one else does either."
She crossed her arms.
"Besides, with Archie no longer giving us orders, we can change our ways. I used to be pretty fond of the criminal life, but there's something about being a part of a team of good guys that is pretty appealing."
She started walking back to HQ again, this time without grabbing a hold of Dark.
"You've been a pretty important part of it all, you know."

Dark shrugs. "Just doing my job. There's no way I'd let those greedy assholes get away with destroying an entire region."
He sighs and scratches his goatee.
"Besides, now I'm trying to make it so when Aqua is raided that everyone is let off the hook somehow." He crosses his arms. "Although it seems like you guys may need to leave Hoenn for a bit."

"I guess you won't be joining us, will you?"
She came up to the beach. They were almost home.

"Probably not." Dark frowns as well. "Although we may meet up again with how successful this raid could be. I've heard talk that because of my background and this case, I may go undercover again."

They entered HQ together.
"Well, I hope we won't be waiting too long for you to return..."
She went and sat on the couch, looking pretty bummed out.
