Rosa was resting as she heard a voice that she knew. "I wonder who that is? I haven't really talk to anyone since I got this new look. I didn't think most people will reconize me...wait...please don't tell me its..Risa...She was the only one I talked to. Wait...oh no..She will want me to play with that egg thing he got! Eww," Rosa thought to herself as she turned her head to not see Risa but Legend! Rosa smiled sweetly. "It looks like your feeling better," Rosa stated as she stood up from her bench.
Rosa hasn't seen Legend in a long time..She was actually suprised that Legend could tell it was her. "well..I guess she was the first one here to be nice to me," Rosa remebered as she looked around the gym to find her.
Later, "Found you!" Rosa yelled as she ran up to the younger girl. "I'm so glad your here! I'm so bored! The monsters they are using to train people are weak! I need something to do! Wait I got it! Want to train with me?" She exclaimed while twisting side to side. "I'm just burning calories," She joked. Ever since Rosa got that new look she was well...happy and not serious! She wasn't worried about Risa! She didn't even care about anything! Today Rosa was just different.

Totro opens the door into the training hall. As he enters, a small pitch-black monkey lacking much detail crawls out from under his hat and scurries down his back. It hops to the floor, and begins to follow him. Totro reaches a door with a plaque that reads '01'. The little monkey runs forward, and cautiously opens the door. It peaks inside, then turns around and jumps. Totro nods, and pats the little monkey on the head. He opens the door, and walks in. After holding the door open for the monkey, he closes it.

Totro walks to the center of the room and sits on his knees. He puts his cane down beside him. Then he takes off his hat, andputs it down next to the cane. He then puts his hands on his knees, and bows his head down, closing his eyes. As he does this, the monkey slowly approaches him. Totro slowly begins to barely rock from side to side. The monkey crawls into his lap. Totro's right hand raises slithly above his knee, and forms a fist, knuckles pointing forward. The monkey turns around in Totro's lap, and puts its hands on Totro's chest. Totro's rocking becomes slightly more noticable as he is rocking farther to each side. The monkey takes its hands off of Totro's chest and instead runs up Totro's arm and sits on his right shoulder. Totro slowly lowers his hand, again, placing it on his knee. His rocking steadies.

The monkey sits very still on Totro's shoulder. Totro, however is not for very long. His rocking starts up again, but is now going forwards and backwards. The amount he is rocking increases steadily. The monkey makes to movements other than those neccesary to stay on Totro's shoulder while the rocking becomes more violent. Now, with each movement, Totro comes closer to falling over. The monkey's motions become a little more obvious, as he has to try harder to stay on, but he doesn't seem at all worried.

As Totro continues to rock, the area around him seems to lower slightly in temperature. The skin on his hands, becomes pale, and it is even slightly noticable underneath his face paint. The monkey started to look more worried. While balancing, it looked around, and pooked at Totro's face. His eyes were still closed, and his expression had not changed. With one final push, Totro nearly fell forward, but he suddenly stopped, balanced on his knees. The monkey had vanished, and the temperature had gone back to normal. [In Death] Totro felt himself fall into a body of water. He pulled his head out, gasping. He stood up. The water was extremely cold, and came up just past the middle of his shin. Everything seemed to be slightly translucent, and in a sepiatone. He looked around and saw a small ledge where the river didn't reach. Thirty feet infront of him was a waterfall, and a gothic-style steel gate. It was open and the water rushed over the edge. The current was strong enough to pull something along, but it wasn't hard for Totro to resist it. "I did it!" Totro yelled with excitement! "I launched my soul into the first gate of death!"

Totro's body fell back to a normal sitting position, sitting on its knees. [In Death] Totro's smile broadened with excitement. Just then something wrapped around his leg. Totro's eyes widened, and he tried to yank his leg away. Now only on one leg, the river's current was harder to resist, and Totro slipped. He caught himself, putting his leg down. Whatever had wrapped around his ankle, still had a grip. Totro looked worriedly around for the monkey. Damn it, I must not have brought him with me the right way. He reached down to pull whatever had a grip on him, away. As his hands entered the water, a shiver went down his spine. He grabbed onto what seemed to be an arm. A head surfaced on the water, "Please!" The head cried. "I know you are a necromancer!" Many other heads, some less human seeming surfaced in the water. Totro heard many murmers sounding like "Necromancer?" The first head spoke again, "Please! My daughter is still alive, and her mother passed the nineth gate years ago. I just want to be with my daughter, in life! Please, bring me back!" The other heads began lifting out of the water, and started to approach him. He knew that he could not fullfill the request, even if he had the ability to. "I'm sorry, sir. Even if it was aloud for me to do so, I don't have it in my power to bring a human back, yet." The man sunk back into the water, and started sobbing. A strange creature that had almost completely risen from the water was making its way over to Totro. It kept slipping into the water and being carried slightly farther down stream, before standing up again. Once almost to Totro it yelled, "Bring me BACK!

[In Death] Totro looked worriedly at the creature approaching him. "I'm a demon! No human can risist me!" Totro looked down at his hand, Why on earth did I leave my cane in life... "Take me back to life, or I'll take you through the ninth gate with me!" The demon kept approaching Totro.
"I can't take you, you heard me tell the man! I don't even have the power to!" Totro took a step back and lifted his right hand.
The demon growled, "I don't believe you!" The demon jumped, leaping towards Totro, who jumped to the side. The deamoned landed beside him, on all fours. It started to be carried down stream. It stopped itself just before reaching the gate. It stood up, and started to slowly make its way back to Totro. "You're taking me back... or coming to the 9th gate." Totro found his hand pointing at the demon. His hand was no longer in his control. He saw his middle and index fingers rise above the rest. His hand began to move in a patern. The demon approached him, getting closer and closer. His fingers made the shape of a circle with an inscribed square. Suddenly the demon was flung back into the water. Totro slowly advanced towards where the demon stood. He looked down to see the demon seemingly stapled to the floor, under the water. It snarled at him. Totro laughed.

[In Death] "Would you look at that. My first hex. River Binding." He laughed again, and turned around. The man from before had risen just above the surface and was looking up at him.
"Please, sir! I don't have the power to fight you. I just want to be with my daughter! If you can perform hexes, surely you can free me from death when I'm just here." The man looked very sad.
Totro desparately wanted to help the man, but he knew he couldn't. "Yes, it is true that it is easiest to free things when they have yet to even reach the first gate, but I do not have the power." Totro kneeled by the man. "What is your daughters name, and where may I find her? I will give her a message from you, if you wish."

Laurel stiffened suddenly, closing her eyes. She had been still linked with Micha, and thought she felt... "I have to go!" Laurel's eyes flew open suddenly. She couldn't reach Micha at all, which could only mean one thing. "She's having another seizure. But...they must've given her something, an' I know I gave her one of her pills..." Laurel shook herself. Loking up at Marcus and fidgeting slightly, she turned to run for the door, but paused for a moment before she left. "M-marcus...you really should g-go to the hospital an' have someone look at your head." She gave him a half-hearted smile, and ran out of the room. I'm coming, Micha! Hold on!

[In Death] The man bent his neck, looking down. He murmured, "I see... Her name is Alice Port. I died by falling into Bass'Ken Lake, while showing her how to fish. I'm sure Logan knows where she is, now." The man sighed. "Just tell her I love her, I suppose." Totro nodded, and walked saluted the man, who sunk down into the water. Totro walked steadily in the opposite direction of the gate. He got to some steps, and walked up them. He was now on a ledge that led around to the ledges he saw before. He walked a few steps more and got to a small wooden door. He opened it, and a blinding light shined through. Many faces in the water turned towards it, but made no move towards it. Totro shielded his eyes and walked through. [In Life] Totro opened his eyes and got up. He lifted up his hat, and the monkey scurried out. "Ah, Astro. There you are." He put the hat on his head, and picked up his cane. He walked to the door from whence he entered and left. He then left the training hall all together, the monkey following him.

Saraneth found herself sitting with her back against the corner of the room, the straightsword in her hand's deathgrip. She bit her lip... did she knock herself out practicing? Maybe that was beyond her limit... Most of her bandages were off now. The only ones that remained were the ones on her left arm and wrist and those around her right leg. Sara didn't scar easily. What wounds healed often healed without forming scars, giving her flawless skin. Unlike her rival, the Gyrfalcon, she wasn't so scarred and blemished that she couldn't tell what her original skin color is looking at her arms.
She staggered to her feet, feeling like a large pile of rags. She didn't realize swordsmanship could be so tiring. Fencing had been hard on her since she started it. Her muscles were one big sore. Saraneth regretted taking up the Shengyan, the God's Eye sword, and trying to learn the art of swordplay. Wow... big stupidity alert here...

Marcus watched as Laurel left, not even getting another chance to speak as she ran out...he waved though, trying to at least be somewhat kind. Picking himself up off the ground he grabbed his sword, which had rested nicely in its sheath since he had gotten hit in the head, now if only his head would settle down and go back to normal vision...he was still seeing doubles at times. Bracing himself against the wall once more he felt and hobbled his way to the door and into the main hall, where lo and behold he saw Sara. He hadn't seen or spoken to her in a few days, and since she was one of his only three or four friends here, he decided to say hello and thank her for her advice about his swords re-forging. Takin a few steps foreward he tapped her lightly on her left shoulder, smiling a tiny smile as he did. "Hey Sara....." he said in his quiet voirce, trying to to be surprising in any way.

Saraneth noticed him coming and glanced up through her bangs at him, her amber eyes less fiery than their usual luster. She was too tired to wave hello to him, but she did smile. When he tapped her on the shoulder, Sara couldn't help but tense up. Right now, she just hurt... not a lot but it was very annoying, and outward pressure didn't feel at all nice right now. Relaxing herself, she hoped he thought that was just her being a little startled. Sara looked up at Marcus, smiling a smile like sunbeams at him. It was dimmer than her usual sunbeam smile, but it was still as bright as ever. Sara loved to smile... it meant that no one would worry about her. She was GOOD at smiling. Who knows... she might end up being a famous actress for her smile one day... perhaps.
"Hello..." Saraneth saw Marcus's newly forged sword, "So you DID go to her..." Her smile flashed even broader and filled with golden pride as she rested a hand gently on its hilt, closing her eyes. The sword was very excited, babbling nonstop to her of what happened in nearly undetectable hums and transmitted images of memory residue. "Kinami... eh?" She gazed fondly at the sword, "Such a pretty name... help Marcus protect himself, 'kay? Try to remember when you still belonged to the Kazerin House... how were you used then? Teach him how to fight like no other..." She whispered gently to the sword, who hummed with dutiful agreement. Saraneth looked up at Marcus and sighed, smiling. "I love this school... there's hot guys everywhere." Her eyes flickered. She was joking around.

Marcus had hoped he wouldn't have startled her, if that was even the reason why she tensed up when he tapped her shoulder, but regardless she didn't seem to think differently about it. Just by looking at her carefully he noticed that she looked extremly tired, presumably from training...but it would do that to you. Removing his sword from his waist he held it in both hands as he sat down next to her, he himself still fairly dazed by that target which had smashed the back of his head. As he sat down he held the sword in his lap, making sure as to not drop it or get it dirty in any form or fashion. However as she touched it he remembered that she possessed the ability to speak with with weapons......what an interesting ability.
"You know Sara, since we last met I've gotten stronger....and better too! but...I really aren't that good yet...." he said quietly as hem hung his head, knowing that it would take a few years before he truly got good with a sword. "Sara....how long did it take you to become so professional with your weapons....I mean, if it took you a long time imiagine how long it would take a slow learner like myself?" he said, trying not to sound overly down upon himself.

Saraneth closed her eyes and tilted her head backwards, resting it against the cold wall behind her. "I'm not professional with any types of weapons... heck, I can't even fight. I use my wits and advantages instead of my skill, since I don't have much skill. Really... I can shoot a gun and hit accurately only if I narrow down the places my target has to hide. I'm a tactician... so there isn't much I can do with a weapon." She turned her head to look at Marcus. "I usually prefer weapons that have been previously used by a skilled user, since then the weapons can teach me how to fight. But those who held the God's Eye died quite a long time ago, and the God's Eye doesn't have much of a memory, having to use its energy to retain its hold on the border of divinity." She happily stroked her sword... it's such a pretty sword, if only she could use it. "I'm sure Kinami still remembers... it's not godblessed, but it's been used by a powerful warrior. I'm sure Kinami can teach you everything you need to know about fencing, if you're willing to listen to Kinami through your soul."
Saraneth felt a little jealous. She had the physical potential to fight... but she was often too unsure of herself to even get started learning. One of her greatest fears had been learning... especially since--
"Well, I'm happy to hear that you're stronger! I've been looking up ways to make your liver function a little better... maybe you won't have to throw up blood so often if... it works... I mean..." She looked away... What was she thinking? She was just a simple girl from Iowa with strange abilities that involved breaking the line between dead and alive. She grew up on what looked like a country farm. What did she know about... about LIVER FUNCTIONS?
