he looked up to her eyes a smile on his face, "indeed it apears so. he was in some kind of stasis it seemed. his body was cold. i touched him and ait sprung back to the heat patterns of a normal bady. he is alive and awoke and screemed mentally... i heard his words... he must be a psionisist as i could hear his words but i cannot hear yours. you told me a while back that you could only communicate with the other masks and your gaurdian, but i heard him this time. he must be a talented psionicist for his young age to enter my mind so easily," he looked down to mavrick and smiled noting the huge rodents closeness to zahar and her not seeming to worry about him at all, "have you ever met him? or do you remember anything about him?"

"you came to my aid when i asked you to. you will help this boy iof he needs it and most likely you will have made a friend in the process. to top that off he may be able to shed light on what has transpired if he has any memeory when he awakes and i am confident he will. and finally you may cut yourself if you are not carefull while holding the dagger. never overly bright to bring a dagger to ones own eyes lass," he stepped down and pulled the dagger out of her handwrapped her in hug and then stepped and then stepped back handing her the dagger again before turning to the boy, " he will be fine there for now i am sure. let us look in this room and see if we can find some more information for you whilst we wait to see if he wakes."

he spun and looked at her completely confused, "what is that supposed to mean. you act as though he is my child lass... i..." it doned on him then what she had said about the masks and the ablility to only hear the one they are bound to.. they were.. gaurdians or some such thing... this ment? "no," he thought, "this is... what... how.. he couldnt have even seen me.. just... my touch... did it some how..." that was the only explanation he could come up with. he sat on the stone and looked her in the eye, "im... im his gaurdian now aren't i?"

he smiled, "im more worried about weather the lil guy'll be able to stand me!" he said in jest and laughed a belly laugh and went a bit more serious, "stones, naught but stepping stones lass. your eyes look as though you sentanced me to death," he smirked a bit, the smy devilish and wry, and cocked one eyebrow, " you may have a partener in your training is all lass. what say you to that," he laughed again and stood taking her hand in his, "let us search the room. he make wake on his own."

"bah," he waved a hand and spat to the side, "the boy will learn with you or not at all. my commitment is to you as well. i never made the commit ment to him willingly even. but i will not abandon this being. i am no parent! i could never be with what i have been through. he will learn to survive, live well and i do not allow failier of my students. you will both learn. now you will have someone to train with. it will make the lessons better for both parties*

"hmmm... i feel for you there. you are a great student thoguh, remeber the locks. and as for the books.... do you not remember to read the language you see before you or even recognise it as your own?"

he walked to her side and took to of the books and placed them in hem of his belt after loosening it a notch or two. the belt became tight but he knew the books would go nowhere, "i will bring these and you can study them," he streched and went back to the boy tossing him gently over his shoulder. his load was becoming heavy even thoguht the boy was light. added to everything else he carried it was becomeing a load. he chuckled enjoying a challange, "was there anything you wanna look at or take in particular or shall we mosy?"

he smiled, as he felt the boy breathing across his shoulder, he would be fine like that but for zahars sake hhe swung him to his arms in acradle position, "this should be fine, and assuming we get the heck outta here soon i will be able to get our way back pretty close to perfect im sure," he turned and strode out the door and down the hallway and mavrick took a look to zahar and scampered behinde her nudgeing her leg gently and plafully urgeing her out the door.
