Kai grunted again and shook his head, plopping himself down with his back to a nearby tree. He scolwed at the ground, hands slowly clenching and unclenching themselves as he growled quietly in his throat. He had never been good at running away. He considered it cowardly. To take his mind off this, he looked at Kaori. "Where is Meghan?" he asked suddenly. "And why is Sora there? I thought you'd gone to fight her, and when you came back alone, I'd assumed you'd won."
Kaori bit her lip anxiously as Shepard took the stone from her, and watched as he cried to crush it and then explained what had to be done. "O-ok..." she murmured quietly as she sat down on her knees, head slightly bowed. "I guess I'll just... wait for him..." She kept her eyes nervously upon the stone Shepard still had, afraid of letting something happen to it.
She blinked and glanced towards Kai for a second as he spoke, then turned her attention back to Shepard. "I did defeat her..." she said quietly. "And I thought she was dead, but now she's back without a scratch... I really don't understand what has happened. Also..." she added, tail curling guiltily around her waist. "I haven't heard from Meghan since before I injured Sora badly..."

Skylar ran along side them, but slowed as they all stopped. She bit her lip, sheathing her sword regretfully. She watched the stone, standing there as she just store at it, the purple color dancing in her eyes like a spark; what wa it about that stone? After another moment, she blinked and turned away from it before walking over to a tree, the branches low and able to cover her, as she sat down. The tree wasn't too big, but it wasn't too small either; just tall enough to let her sit there and bearly be seen.

[Well, Kaori didn't stick around long enough to see Sora actually died. xP But... ok.]
Kai's eyes widened. "What do you mean?" he demanded, leaning towards Kaori. "I thought Sora had control. You were still speaking to her?"
Kaori cringed slightly, hands clenching in her lap. Her gaze remained fixed upon the stone Shepard still held, refusing to move away. But she slowly nodded. "Yes, we were talking telepathically or something," she murmured, bowing her head.
Kai waited for her to continue, but Kaori had fallen silent. "...well?" he urged impatiently. His eyes flicked towards the female as she approached, but he didn't know her name, and he currently didn't particularly care. He was too worried about Meghan right now.
Kaori bowed her head a bit further in guilt. "Mehgan was urging me to kill Sora, so I attacked her. But I really hadn't planned on killing her... Her sword disappeared and I couldn't stop my attack quickly enough! And then... then I lost contact with Meghan. But she did sound extremely happy, and she said she'd gotten her memories back..." Kaori paused, taking a deep breath. "I don't understand how Sora is back, and in an entirely new body even! It doesn't make sense... When I left her, she had a hole through her stomach, and a slash across her neck. There's no way she can still be here!" Kaori bit her lip angrily, keeping her eyes upon the stone.

Skylar looked up suddenly, hearing what Kaori said. "Parce que?" she repeated after Kaori, staring at where she knew the girl was sitting, the branches still consealing her. "You mean," she started, "you don't actually know Sora?" she continued in disbalief; she was walking along with people who were enemies to Sora, but didn't know much about her. "That's.... that's her true self; don't you know anything of Sora or her past?" she asked, disbalief in her voice

Kaori glanced over towards the girl as she spoke, at first not understanding her words. She stared at her cluelessly until the girl continued on in english. Then she blinked several times, utterly bewildered. "Wh-what?" she stammered. "So that means... you do know? But how...?" This girl made it seem like common knowledge, and it made Kaori feel strangely dumb.
Kai leaned forward suddenly, his eyes widening. He slid away from the tree he'd been set against and instead closer to the female, pausing just on the other side of the branches she'd positioned herself behind. "What do you know about her?" he asked urgently. "Her past? How she gets inside people to control them? What happens to the people she's controlling?" He put extra emphasis upon the last question.

Skylar blinked a few times, seeing the boy move closer to her but stop. She blinked a few times, a little taken aback; they really didn't know anything. "Je ne sais pas le question trois, mais," she started softly, speaking more of to herself that to them, "I know for sure she worked for Mergex's father... and that she was burned after being cursed." It was as though it was so simple anyone could figure it out, but she didn't know how she knew in the first place. Shrugging it off, she decided she should answer the only other question she could answer.
She thought for a moment; control them? "S-she doesn't.. I mean, it's not actually controling them, she just takes over... yeah, that's controling," she laughed, admiting her mistake. She sighed for a moment, before starting on again. "The curse, you see, was that she was to be reborn over and over without ever the chance of crossing over until the ones who banished her first off were satisfied enough," she explained, still behind the branches, "it just so happens, i guess, that your friend was her first reincarnation- if that's what you're talking about."

Both Kai and Kaori kept silent as they listened, each pondering how it was this girl knew these things. They hadn't seen her before now... Had she just been watching from somewhere in the background? Maybe she'd known Meghan before she'd come here? But each of the siblings felt odd for not knowing the things they were being told. This girl said it like it was common knowledge.
Kaori shifted nervously and then tilted her head. "Have you... known Sora for a while? And Meghan?"
"And what did she do to be cursed?" Kai added quickly. He was eager to learn more. Maybe it'd help him find where Meghan had gone more quickly.

Skylar looked at the two- or of what she could see of the two- for a few moments before taking a deep breath. For her, there really wasn't much to tell seeing as she didn't know why she knew all this. Either way, she shook her head to Kaori's question. "I'm sorry... I don't know either of them personally," she said, slightly embarrassed.
Shifting her gaze to Kai, though, she knew there really wasn't much to know about that; it was obvious what she did. "She worked with EEF to kill villages... one day, a village of people managed to capture her and they just cursed her so she would stop killing everyone," she started, "each time she kills a certain amount of people, the curse takes an effect on her. However, seeing as this is the first time, no one really knows what effect it'll be; it's different on everybody," she finished simply.
She bit her lip for a moment, shifting in place. "That village..." she said softly, "suffered so much afterwards from EEF... it was horrible, or so I hear. Bearly any people go out; those who did were badly injured..." she said softly.

Shepard layed his head on the ground trying not to fall asleep. He suddenly heard the metal clanking. He saw a bright orange robot emerge from the bushes carrying a blaster rifle. " Relief: There you are master! i've been scouring the area for you. I'm was scared you perished at the battle at the lake. I would have helped but the power overloaded my ciruts and I went off line." said the droid as he walked over the Shepard.
Shepard sat up and smiled. " Never would I thought to be happy seeing you HK-47." he said. The droid looked around at the others scanning them for any possible threat. " Question: Master who are these new meatbags you seemed to have befriended. This seems famalair. As if I have been placed into this postion before." said Hk-47

Both Kaori and Kai fell silent again, processing what the girl had just said. Each were confused, heads practically spinning. They still didn't now who she was, or why she knew all this. And she hadn't said what happened to Meghan either, though they hadn't really expected her to know that...
Kaori's head suddenly jerked up, hearing the clanking of something metal approaching. Her eyes widened as the robot revealed itself. She quickly scrambled backwards and away from it, then pointed a shaky finger. "What is that?!" she cried. If a motorcycle had surprised her before, this was unbelievable. Then she blinked as the robot spoke. "...m-meatbags?" she echoed uncertainly, not understanding what it meant.
Meanwhile, Kai had turned back to the female. There was something strange about her... But he couldn't quite place it. Pushing these feelings away so he could think straight, Kai stared right into her eyes, his own narrowed slightly. "....I'm Kai," he finally said after a moment. "That's Kaori, he's Shepard, and that's apparently Shepard's robot." He indicated each in turn, but never took his eyes off her. "And who... might you be?" He wasn't sure what he was expecting her to say, so he kept silent and waited for a response.

Shepard laughed weakly at Skylar. " Obsvervation: it seems the female humans always get bothered by the term meatbag. This one seems espcally annoyed. Could this one be on her menstration cycle?" said HK-47 as he scanned Skylar. SHepard rolled his eyes. He knew what was about to happen next.

Kai kept his gaze upon her as Skylar retorted to the robot, but didn't pay any mind. He only looked away once she'd stated her name. Then he let his eyes drop to the ground. "Yeah, nice to meet you..." he said half heartedly.
Kaori was slightly taken aback by Skylar's response to the robot concerning the term 'meatbag'. She didn't really understand, honestly, as she'd never heard someone call some else that before. She blinked as the girl exclaimed something in a that same language she didn't understand. "U-um, nice to meet you..." she murmured quietly. Then her eyes flicked back towards the robot as he spoke again. Her face flushed faintly red and she quickly dropped her eyes to the floor.

hitomi silently approched the angry scene unsure to move or remain hidden until the scuffle had ended. The figures slowly bickered, the stopped. what now? she thought
