Does anybody else around here think Gaia needs more moderators? This is getting stupid. Everybody in Extended Discussion is bitching about it, everybody in General Discussion is bitching about it, and we already know the problem in AMC.

Yeah, it's an obvious choice to put more Mods around. It's something that has been ranted about for months now in some forums and subforms. But I do give credit to those that have the position.
But how would they go about assigning new Moderators? I mean, it can't be by how long someone has been around, some people are just plain idiots but have been here for years!

I think it comes with the territory. The larger the site gets, the more folks it attracts, and since folks don't have to try as hard to find the site, more kids will find it, thus more n00bs will show up and make throwaway accounts. It happens everywhere.
However, as the site becomes larger, so should the number of moderators, to help curb the n00b problem. I think moderators should also be chosen based on the times they are generally online, to make sure that someone is always around.

It sounds so simple guys, but for some reason, nothing is being done. The number of users online at any time has inflated hugely since Halloween, but there are still either one or no mods online for most of the day. The AMC has gone totally to shirt. Its insane. stressed
