Hey everybody of Ravenclaw! I'm thinking of making a funny drawing thread. I will pick a few starter drawings, but if you can think of something funny like Hagrid in a Hula skirt dancing for Fluffy (Which is one of the options you can pick to draw) then let me know! If you think you'll come to the thread pm me because I want a few people there to help start it.

The Reading Queen Hey everybody of Ravenclaw! I'm thinking of making a drawing thread. I will pick a few starter drawings, but if you can think of something funny like Hagrid in a Hula skirt dancing for Fluffy (Which is one of the options you can pick to draw) then tell me and I will tell you the next day if you can draw it. If you think you'll come to the thread pm me because I want a few people there to start it.
Love the idea, but I wonder how many of us are talented draw-ers, and then have scanning equipment to be able to upload the drawing? You can also put the more fun ideas like the one above into the Tek-Tek challenge thread. (Link to it in the Avatar sticky). I also love your current Avi. The elephant's ear just happens to put a stripe in your scarf, like the movie's Ravenclaw scarves, and the funny comic about bronze and blue stripes vs silver and blue stripes. Hope everyone had a good Holiday! I just got the computer unlocked with the House cup scores, so we'll have them posted very soon! In the meantime, first place in each House is a fortune egg, which has gone from 27K to 69K since I bought them for Haven! (And they'll be other prizes and raffles, too). Meanwhile, I'd appreciate anyone who checks over their totals in the House Cup thread and owls me-to check against my list. --LHH

Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! I hope this coming year brings you all the best.
New Year’s Toast
Here’s to the new year... May it bring more joy and success And less grief and regret.
To our dreams... May we never stop believing in them And taking the actions that will make them a reality.
To our friends and loved ones, May we take the time to let them know How much it means to us To have them in our lives.
Let us encourage more and criticize less, Give more and need less. And whenever we can, Let us create harmony and peace.
To new beginnings... Let us start fresh, right now, To make this the very best year ever.
A very Happy New Year to all of us!

Happy new year everyone! I got about 2 1/2 hours to go here! That would be a great idea if I knew how to draw. sweatdrop Maybe add in a picture finding or even short poem idea to it?

Happy New Year! (: So how are the resolutions going? (I already failed mine. I told myself I wasn't going to bite my nails. Oops.)
Ooh. I'm a terrible artist, but I'd love to see what you come up with.

Ello all. I don't know if I can do this or not, but I was told to introduce myself. I'm Madgrape, I am not a grape and I don't think I'm mad. *smiles* Anyway I have no clue what I'm doing, I have a friend trying to help me. So if anyone else out there would like to help me also, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

turayza Happy New Year! (: So how are the resolutions going? (I already failed mine. I told myself I wasn't going to bite my nails. Oops.) Ooh. I'm a terrible artist, but I'd love to see what you come up with. Liar. Turayza is actually quite the amazing artist. She was even selling her avatar drawings on gaia one point in time... Anyway, good luck with finding a good artist 'cause you won't find one in me... sweatdrop Happy New Years! I hope the twins didn't go too wild with their festivities...remember the last time?

... -whacks Kita and shoves behind sofa- No, really. I'm not good at art. I can make pretty good stick figures, though. (Hahah.)
Welcome to Ravenclaw, madgrape! I'm glad to hear that you're not mad or a grape. I think the latter would be creepy. You have no clue what you're doing? Like, on Gaia? Or what? Because if you're talking about no clue about life, you might want to talk to someone in your actually life. But since I don't think you're talking about that, because you sound pretty normal (not mad, right?) to me, I'll just assume you're talking about the guild. ... Ask your heart out. (:
... I'm kinda high. Ignore my hyperness for a bit.

Welcome to Ravenclaw Madgrape! Feel free to ask us any questions you wish. About Gaia, the Haven, about what we do in this thread, philosophical questions, what we ate for breakfast this morning... anything.
And to introduce yourself, remember that Ravenclaw Tower does have a question for you to answer about yourself. I believe it's in the very first post. That should get you started.
I'm curious, since you are neither mad, nor a grape, how did you pick your name?
Ooh, that drawing thread sounds fun! Too bad I take way too long to draw a picture.

Is it "Where are your greatest strength"? If so I would say inside you, but that sounds slightly stupid and bit sarcastic. Then I started thinking and I still don't know if it would work, but my ability to help my friends. Or hating to see them hurt? I'm guessing here. The reason I came up with Madgrape is I like making up stories and games in my head and well, one character was name Madison Grape. Mad Grape. Get it? Plus I wanted a mad scientist type name and it works. I was basicly talking about the guild. I have other guilds, but I usely just mess around. I guess I could here too, but I'm glad there are people here that will help me out when I need it. Thank you.

Welcome to the Haven Madgrape! I love the name and idea behind it btw. I already broke my resolution of eating cookies and not working out. sweatdrop Well, I have La Traviata song stuck in my head the whole day since this morning, (curse the Twilight soundtrack), how is everyone's weekend going? Mine is going out great, I just went out with my boyfriend's family for some Chinese food. It was pretty tasty.

Paraphernalia_101: Thanks, I like the name too and I wouldn't worry too much over the resolution thing. I mean you have the rest of the year to do it and plus there will be set backs. You just need to lessen the temptation and get in the mindset of working out. Good luck with it though.

Hi Madgrape! Sorry that I didn't greet you earlier. redface But I think that I've definitely gone a little quirky if not mad. Well I think I always was, but 2009 has definitely exacerbated my weirdness and insanity.

Whee! So what are your resolutions? And how were the holidays?
Over my winter break I went to California to visit my cousins, and had a great time skiing (for five days in a row...it was insane...) down at Tahoe. Do any of you ski or snowboard?
