TheRob Vickicat TheRob New study finds significantly less people coming onto Gaia. eek It's not just this guild. It's pretty much all of Gaia. Someone pointed out in a thread in the gaming section that a few years ago there'd be 100,000 accounts at a time on this site and that now it averages like 10,000. I looked at the numbers and it currently shows: Who is Online? - 25298 users. (21819 visible, 3206 hidden, 273 guests). Most users ever online was 77,655 on Sun Nov 07, 2010 7:31 pm For a Wednesday night in the summer (with an event going on), I'd sort of expect more people to be on. 25k accounts isn't too bad and it's more than the 10k the other guy said, but I'd still expect more people on at this time. Also, I could have sworn Gaia had some push to get 100,000 people on at once and I thought they reached that goal...but the data they're showing from 2010 says otherwise. Either way, significantly less people/accounts/mules/whatever have been logging on in the last year and a half. That doesn't really surprise me. Gaia isn't what it used to be. In a lot of ways it barely seems like the same site anymore. And it feels like they cater to younger and younger crowds, despite having the age limit. It doesn't help either that people who originally liked Gaia in the early days are all growing up now. I barely have time for Gaia now with my job, but I still come in each day, even if I don't do a whole lot. They also have done this to themselves I think, with how many people they have needlessly banned.Speaking of jobs and people who have been banned, I don't know if you or Kaz are still looking for another job but I saw the animal hospital on Lake Underhill between Rouse & Alafaya is hiring full and part time for...uh...I forget exactly the name of the job position...I think it was someone to work their front desk. I forgot what they called it, exactly...but they had a big sign up for it as you're driving by. I think they were hiring for that and also a vet technician. Kaz is still looking for a job. I am still hating my job, LOL. I am trying to start on a new one which is part time on weekends, and could eventually lead to full time and if it does, I may quit the first job and do the second full time. But I have to use this really old computer program and I have had one issue after another with getting it all to work so I am pretty much sitting around waiting right now because nothing is working and they have to give me another copy of the program to try. So I don't know what will happen with that. It's a transcription job from home and I was really excited to get started with it but now I'm nervous it's not going to work out.
I would love to work at a vet office but from what I've seen in my job searching, they want people with previous experience, even for front desk. At least that is what it has said for every front desk position I've seen for vet offices. And I'm not a vet tech... Was almost going to go to school to be one, and changed my mind, and now sometimes I wonder if I should have. gonk

I *could* complain about work, it's been really bad these past couple months with all the mismatching groups in house; however, to be quite honest, I'm just thankful to have work, as brutal as it has been there.
I feel very torn about that though...

And apparently I might be losing my job anyway, at least according to the information wending its way down the Grapevine at work. So I suppose it's time to start looking for work again. stare

I'm just going to wait a couple of months since I'm taking a vacation then anyway, and if certain things haven't changed at my job I might start looking again. I'd really like to go back and finish school too but I am too worn out when I get home from work to want to deal with homework.

I'm also too tired from work to want to bother with homework or going to school either. whee
