ITs not that good. Sigh, well if she doesn't draw its pretty good, but if she is in classes then it could be a lot better.

Ha don't worry about it, he has a personal deal with me and he thinks by insulting my drawings I'll get pissed again. But I know that they are magnificent and I know that they could be better, but I honestly doubt anyone could pinpoint the problems like I can.

And holy crap, long time no see. Elf, I haven't seen you in forever.

Your so cocky, no one can pinpoint them like I can, what bull is that. Do you honestly think your like Edgar Degas or something. You are so cocky and you honestly don't deserve to be, there are a lot better artists in my class then this and you act like your superior even though there are mistakes. Art is supposed to be perfect, you seriously need to work on your faces........
I'm not trying to get back at you, I'm simply noticing mistakes with it.

It isn't what you say magnificent, its like something I'd see in drawing one with freshman in it.

Ehm Hayate...that's not very nice and hardly borderline polite. Constructive criticism doesn't just consist of 'I know someone can draw better'. It's pointing out the specifics of the art itself...critiquing things perhaps like angle, line quality...exactly what's wrong with the face and not just a outright 'I don't like it'...balancing pros with cons, see.

While I greatly enjoy Cheerios' artwork and do complement her shading that makes the skin and eyes seem life-like...eh...the choice of where dark and light lines are placed is a bit distracting overall. Nice lighting effect, yes...but a little bit of inconsistency that keeps one guessing as to where the light source is. The hair looks real enough, but the black part looks a tiny bit smudged, detracting a bit from the overall strand quality. Seems a bit more, well, proper choice for shading fur levels rather than human hair there...

Buuut...it's very true, what Cheerios say. No one knows better than the artist exactly where or what the mistakes are. No piece of art is perfect, because no artist would ever be completely satisfied with what they produce if they dare call themselves an artist... I'm not claiming qualification, I only draw for fun and doodle in classes...but I know a good piece when I see one. By the way, Hayate dear, art classes don't make an artist. It's the experience that's most important and what one sees...learn to see, especially, in drawing realism... I dare even say it is natural talent that counts in the long run, that laboring can only take one so far...just like in music classes, you can't really teach someone how to sing or to really play an instrument. So...I believe we all know for a fact there are very amazing people out there. Not necessary to reiterate that fact.

*huffs* My mother is an art prodigy in realism...even now she insults my drawings. She may be a jerk when it comes to critiquing but well... *mutter* stressed

I mean perfect as in as realistic as can possibly be. Also your wrong, a natural talent who only doodles stuff can be easily outdrawn but someone like myself who is both a good artist naturally and has help. Its like martial arts in this way, a teacher is supposed to show you where you are wrong before it becomes a habit. Ehh, I do a lot of things. Art, Martial Arts, Tennis, Drums, and so on. -.-
The eyebrows hardly look realistic and it looks like she just scribbled some lines...... also a bit of advice, if you have the person facing you, then it has to be absoluetely equal on both sides. Or it makes the artwork look unrealistic, much easier for some person to angle the face to the side. Anyway, I'm a skilled artist but not good at critiqueing people and I'm rather bored of art in general from all the art I've done.....

Yeah I see that, I had trouble with the shading around the nose and right eye. The scanner really magnified that too. Blah, images should never be scanned crying . Also Hair is the bane of my existence XD, I'm still working on my technique but for a first try I think I handled it very well. Hehe I'm not going to tell you all the things I've noticed about it, maybe no will notice.

Also, is someone deleting all of Hayate's posts? Or is that just him?

Hayate-senpai
Art is supposed to be perfect

It's not wink
Not even the way you said you meant it as, as in 'closest to realistic' wink

cheerios you can check if you know where the posts are surprised

Post something up, Hayate! I want to see your stuff =P What style do you do?

>.> cheerios is it just me or is the nose position weird... >.> but i dunno rofl It looks good to me and i suck at realism.
