Lord Alan Kinoki I was in Miami when the hurricanes hit. Was out of power for nearly a month. There wasn't a whole lot to do. So I made a rug out of yarn.
Had to sleep on tile floors because everything else was just too damned hot. ugh! I know how that is, back in '05 it was either Wilma or Katrina I lost power and hot water for 3 weeks. I spent most of the time reading. and listening to our crank-up radio.

Since I live in Orlando, and was relatively close to an Industrial District, our power came back on pretty quickly. I'm not complaining about that, it was just really hard on a Night Owl like me to deal with nary a fan nor air conditioner for a week, when Orlando usually gets no breeze at all in the summer and there were 5 people living in the house.

Vickicat Rob, where did you get the cat head? It's sort of an event-ish item. Some admin got a new cat IRL and they decided to make a Facebook & Twitter account for it. Also, if you go around to various threads (except in the role play forum, IIRC), you can try to call the cat out by saying its name (Waffles) and saying that it's a cute cat. IF it decides to respond to you (it'll be an NPC in the thread), it'll grant you the item but won't say anything about it - it'll just appear in your inventory.
