"Alright," Arlen said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a crystal vial containing a small, emerald-colored flame and secured to a leather cord. "Here," he said, pressing it into Lily's hand.

"Ooooh..." Lily breathed, examining it closely, eyes sparkling. "Arlen... it's beautiful." she told him sincerely, smiling at him before giving him a light kiss. "Did you make it?"

"I had to buy the vial and the cord, but the flame is essentially me," Arlen said, smiling softly. "It should remain burning as long as I'm alive, but it doesn't need anything more than that."

Lily returned the smile warmly, then hugged him tightly before pulling back. "Would you put it on for me?" she asked, offering it back. "I'll wear it always, close to my heart." she added softly, cheeks pinking a bit.

Arlen nodded, taking the necklace and looping it around Lily's neck before tying it. "I'm glad you like it," he said, giving her a hug after it was secure, the knot coming undone anytime soon.
