Reeve smiled a bit as he watched her. She was using logicly looking over the situation, something that many people did not seem to do. When she appeared in front of him he took a step back, then suddenly felt his body stiffen. The moment this happened a symbol on his chest seemed to appear, breaking the spell almost instantly. Although this happened, he decided to trick her a bit. He made his body tense and stayed perfectly still. He watched for a second as she made a grab for his cane, but was thrown off for a second when she disappeared. He felt her behind him and suddenly spun around, extending his hand as if he were going to punch her in the head. At the end of his hand he suddenly extended a finger and softened the blow greatly, making it so there would be no way for it to hurt her. Because of the height difference, his arms were longer, giving him an almost unfair advantage in close combat. he smiled to her, watching her intently. "I must say, you are better than I thought you would be."

She hardly had time to react as he turned to her. Instinct told her to dodge but she fought this feeling since her goal was to touch him. As his finger neared her chest, she reached with her other hand, grabbing his forearm at nearly the same moment he touched her. Wide blue eyes gazed upon him for a moment, curiously. When he spoke, she simply nodded and released his arm, taking a small step back. Now she expected, as with any form of learning, to be lectured about her choices and perhaps told what she should do to improve. In anticipation of this, she lowered her head slightly.

Reeve tilted his head a bit, smiling. "You did a good job, just think about what would happen if what you did didn't work out like you wanted it to." He suddenly wrapped his arms around her, lightly huging her. "But as I said before, you did well. Lots of natural instinct." Kissing her forehead lightly, he began to pull away to give her some space.

Gratefully she wrapped her arms around him, relieved that he still desired to be in her presence. The feeling of his lips on her forehead made her smile, though just a little as she was still displeased with herself for not having done better. Feeling that he was moving away, she looked up and touched his face with her fingers gently. "I have seen my master and bjartskular move through many obstacles before somewhat similar to this .. It is not the same to observe as it is to experience." she said softly, then lowered her hand to her side again, standing before him, still smiling pleasantly.

"Hence the reasonmy mentor put me dead in the middle of danger. Battle to survive, kill or be killed.. the ultimate training exercise." He smiled at her, looking into her eyes. He was pleased that she was a good fighter, though not exactly strong. He tilted his head a bit and looked at her. "May I ask you why you trust Seisuke so much?"

Looking rather timid and apologetic when he asked this she bobbed her head. "Seisuke-ona has shown me kindness just as you have. And has also proven to me that he has a knowledge of many things I have never known and a wisdom from peoples I have never met. May I ask why you have inquired about him?" she said softly. Gently she wrapped one arm around her waist, cupping the elbow of her other arm in that hand, then rested her chin on her fingers of her other hand.

"I see..." Reeve said as he tilted his head. "You seem to trust him alot, you even backed away from me when he told you to. I was mearly seeing why."
The shadows seemed to thrash around for a moment. Once they settled Kain ran out of the shadows and went to its master. "Master, I have news to report. Rayne does not know when you will once again go blind, but she did wish for me to tell you that Ash died... after laying eggs."

Ziven opened her mouth to reply when Kain appeared. She nodded to the creature, expecting him to speak or take Reeve away. Listening to his news, she immediately looked distressed at his news. She looked from Kain to Reeve for a moment before dropping her gaze all together, staring at the ground, her arms resting casually at her side.

Reeve was silent for a moment, contimplating what to do. "How many eggs?" He asked, sighing a bit.
"Four, sir." Kain said, confused as to why its master was acting in such a way. Rayne seemed to be in good spirits about it.
"... Bring one here, Kain. Do not let my sister know... and hide the others." Reeve said as he looked up at the sky for a moment, then turned back to Ziven. He smiled to her, though his eyes showed a bit of sadness.
Kain bowed to its master and disappeared.

She bobbed her head to Kain again as he left. Blue eyes then turned to Reeve, observing him she knew he was trying to hide his emotions. Slowly she reached her hand to his cheek, a somber expression on her face. "I am sorry for your loss." she said quietly. It did not matter who had died, she would support him in his loss.

"Don't be. I had some good times with 'er, but she has long since lost her mind. The death of my mentor did far too much damage... she died a savage." Reeve sighed a bit and grabbed onto her hand, looking at her. "I am more worried about her eggs Where they are now they could get eaten, but if I were to bring them to this place they might get stolen..."

"That is unfortunate." she said softly tilting her head. Now she wondered what he was saying, if she did not know better the vague description he gave sounded rather a lot like a Rider. Slowly she moved herself closer to him, moving the hand from his cheek to his shoulder and her other arm around his waist.

"Aye, but what can one do?" Reeve said as he put his arms around her once again, pulling her close to him. Thoughts circled his mind, mostly what to do with the eggs. Long ago Ash had told him to destroy any eggs she bore... but could he really do that?
Kain rose from the darkness A large, silver egg-like stone in its arms. The stone was completely smooth, but seemed to radiate a small amount of power.

Sensing Kain's return, she slowly slid her hands off of Reeve to allow him movement to Kain. Seeing the egg that Kain brought caused her a deep sense of shock. She did not take her eyes from the egg, watching it with a sad sort of expression.

Reeve looked at Ziven for one last moment before going to Kain. He pulled two black gloved from his poct and put them on, then began to examine the egg. Perfect structure, hard exterior, no breaks... Closing his eyes he put his hand over the egg, trying to sense the life within it. "... Healthy..." He put his head down and sighed. There were few options open to him, but he really did not want to kill the baby inside the egg. Such a wonderful beast should not meet such a cruel fate...
Kain waited patiently as its master examined the egg.
